Gbomo Gbomo (The spirit with no head)
TGIF (Thank God it's Friday) how did your Friday go and hope you are doing fine. Enjoy reading my article and God bless you. **This event happened years back when I was in basic school.** It was a very cold morning and a rumor started roaming around the school that, there are spirits living the school, people said started saying stories about their encounter with the spirits, some paid it was a lady on white, with no head and blood is on her white garment, some said she was killed in the school and that's why her spirit is still hurting the entire school. Some said she has killed so many children in the school and would dispose her their body to an unknown place, some said the spirit always comes out early morning and midnight, so people won't spot her, there was this guy that was telling us the story that, he saw the spirit face off, (he was the one that was describing how she looks like) according to him, He came to school early that fateful morning, there weren't much people around the school premises, he went to pee at the bush inside our school, that's when he saw the spirit from afar, he couldn't move or say a word, for he was speechless, the spirit keeps approaching him and he was peeing on his body, so the spirit grabbed him and was dragging him to the bush, the boy was screaming for help, but no one heard him, the spirit with a head, dragged him to an abandoned toilet that was inside the bushes in the school, he said he saw human skulls, bucket of blood and a lot of things, he told us that the spirit tied him and left to hunt for another human, luckily for him, the spirit didn't tied it well, so he freed himself and ran away before the spirit came back. After telling us the story of the headless spirit, we all were very afraid and we were avoiding the bushes in our school, so we won't be caught by the gbomo gbomo (that's what he called the headless spirit) we told our teachers, but they said it was just fiction and there's no such thing in this school, but we didn't take their words for it. They're a time when our class teacher shared us in a group to be sweeping the entire school, she said we should be in school as early as 5 am to sweep the school before the teachers resume for the day, I and my classmates were very afraid, because of the story of the headless spirit, we always move in groups anywhere we want to sweep, so no one would be taken by the headless spirit. Continued the sweeping for a week plus and everything was going fine, until one day that one of our classmates decided to play a fast trick on us after sweeping, he shouted that the headless spirit was approaching our way and we should run for our lives, all of us took off so fast, that some of us forgot our broom in the school premises when we got to the roadside, he told us that it was a prank, we were laughing and told him not to try it again. Conclusion This is was based on a true-life event, but we never saw the headless spirit ourselves, we only heard it from the guy that claimed that he was a victim, though there was a time when I was in basic 5, a pastor came to our school and said that our school needs deliverance, the entire school went into prayer that afternoon, something appears with mirrors all over the body, the pastor burnt it and everyone was amazed at what they saw, for it was unexpected. @Theblackdoll is doing a Halloween challenge #Halloweencontest2021, I encourage you to join the contest also, check here to read the rules. https://read.cash/@Theblackdoll/day-20-of-31-days-of-halloween-halloween-contest-09845c22 Thanks for reading Lead Image source https://www.freepik.com/premium-vector/halloween-silhouette-headless-monster-graveyard_2414864.htm 22/10/2021

This brings back memories. Back then in primary school, we don't actually know gbomo gbomo as a dark spirit, that's the term we used for kidnappers back then because that was the year kidnapping started getting serious in Nigeria, so we called the kidnappers gbomo gbomo 😆
Sound the same though, cause the spirit carry school children, according to him.
My point exactly 😉
Yes boss. We are saying the same thing.
Childhood memories are very funny, at that time many students must have left school for fear of that spirit. 😄
So many parents took their children from the school.
I guess Halloween gets you excited. Have fun
😅😅 we don't do halloween in our country.
I love these kinds of stories; woureminds me of those years in ordinary school when they used to kidnap children and we code named the kidnappers gbomo gbomo..
It's really common in Nigeria Public schools.
Hahaha, oh my. Just can't help myself from laughing about the prank that your classmate played on you.
It was really a fast one 😂
I can only imagine haha. I will run fast too when in your shoes, lol!
You are also afraid of headless spirit too 😅
Hahaha, not now. But if it was me on your shoes back then, I would be one of the fastest too, lol!
😅😅 so true.
Excited much for the Halloween? 😅
😅we don't do halloween in my economy.
lol it is so fun messing around with classmates though.
😅😅😅very true, mam
My my, that's really scary, never really experience something like that so, 😅
😅😅 there was a time when it was common in my country.
You just made me remember some scenarios we experienced during primary school days. The scary scenes were real and everyone believed. Let me drop some. The school is sharing a boundary with Community cemetery (not this modern days cemetery, the real cemetery that it's harbored in a thick bushy areas). One day during sweeping section in the morning, just like your own encounter, we met a skull of human being very close to the tense, the skull has little human flesh with hair at it's just decaying. Let me stop here, and put in an article 🧐
Belike all government school na the same 😅
Thank you so much for participating,... school ghosts stories always creep me out whether there is ghost or just rumors because the victims are kids and it loves with them for long time and creates mental issues to their brains... I'm glad you are all okay now
Thanks for reading. I'm just seeing your comment now.
