Savings and Investment for my Future
It's not easy to earn money in this world, maybe there are easy money but those are in illegal acts. We all know that money revolves this world, without it then you can't afford the living condition specifically if your residing at rural areas which every move cost money. In today's situation the value of money became lesser and lesser as time goes by, the prices of goods dramatically rises and the cost of living is increasing that's why we can see lots of poor people due to the effect of inflation. I saw lots of people who had no financial management including me, I like to spend my money in buying things that I want and treating other people later on I will realize that I don't have money left on my wallet.
That's the main reason why I dig on different videos regarding financial literacy, from that moment I learned a lot of things regarding financial management and the hindrance that we might encounter in future like rising inflation that leads to loosing the value of money. There are lots of vloggers in YouTube teaching about financial management, you can learn a lot of things that makes you realized the important of saving and investing your money. I've encountered a lot of videos until I bumped on video regarding the Ginvest which you can see at your own gcash dashboard.
Ginvest compost of different type of bonds which owned by ATRAM, it's investing company in other country and considered to be legit since it was on Gcash. The way of investing became more easier since in one click you can have a share on companies like Jollibee, Manila Water, Meralco, other big companies inside the country like SM, Ayala Land and many more, you can also get a share on big companies abroad like Amazon, Alibaba, Microsoft, Facebook, etc. It's easy and affordable since as low as 50 pesos you can already invest in Ginvest. I will explain how it works but I will only rely on my overview since I didn't study about this and only watched on YouTube.
Ginvest had different fund you can choose. The value of each fund will regard to the flow of Market since it connects to Multi-assets, Stocks, PESI, Global Technology and Consumer Trends, it means that it's the same on other investment companies which also investing in stock markets. There's a cash manager who's managing the pools of investors, they are the one who's investing those money to stocks and once earned then there would be an income added to your balance but it doesn't mean that you've invest a 50 pesos then it will become a hundred in single day. In Ginvest you are buying a units and the more higher you invest the more units you can own. The risk is also there since there's a possibility that you can have a great lose when the market is very down.
The saying invest what you can afford to lose is still there, the higher risk you take the higher reward you can get. There are different funds you can choose local and international, those local funds are ATRAM Peso Money Market fund, Total Return Peso Bond, Philippine Equity Smart Index fund, in that funds you can start by investing a minimum amount of 50 pesos and you already have shares on different companies here on Philippines. There are other global funds like Global Multi-Asset Income Fund, Global Consumer Trend, and Global Technology Feeder Fund which had minimum investment of 1000.
Actually it's a good opportunity to save your money here but if you are a conservative person then you choose a Peso Money Marker which had a NAVPU of 0.44% which is higher than traditional banks that only gives 0.25% interest on your savings but if your a risk taker and had a lot of money then those Global funds are destined to you. Maybe you can say that Ginvest is a good opportunity but there's also a downside on it like the fee you need to pay to the managers who's handling the money, though it's normal that they must get paid to their work but once the market is down and everything is at loss, investors still required to pay the cash managers.
Another downside is the business days before you can sell your assets since it takes 3 to 7 business days before you can receive your money and on that interval of time, there might be a lot of changes in market maybe it will earn or loss that's why the its one of the downside of Ginvest but I think they need to verify first the assets before deliver it on your account. Overall, I can say that Ginvest is for everyone who's willing to risk nor save their money, it's important that we should circulate our money and earn interest from it rather than staying it on your bank account that only earn a very little interest. Always follow the rule of invest what you can afford to lose and take at your own risk. There are other investment opportunity I will share to you, maybe tomorrow let's talk about Pagibig MP2.
