What If We Fail? Hello Fam, your support till now is still one of the things I should be grateful for. For those who haven't read my previous article, here👇https://read.cash/@ClDvor/keep-these-in-mind-if-you-want-an-easy-life-26bd5ee1 Don't forget to subscribe to me for more. A young man gets up early in the morning at 5:00 am and rushes to the community field about 100meters from his house. He puts on his track suit and starts running laps around the field. This was his routine for the past month. He is training because he is representing his school at the National Olympics Championship. He's simply got to win. An experienced surgeon is shouting commands at his assistant, " 50 cubic centimeter of blood, quickly!" He obviously under pressure. His patient's chance of survival is very low. He thinks, " I can't loose him." He watches the electrocardiogram (EKG) . The patient's pulse is weak. He is sweating, his hands are shaking, there's no way his patient is going to survive. A woman sits on the floor after receiving a telephone call that his 17 year old son is being dragged away by the police for drug peddling. She could have done better. She failed to raise him right. I sat in the examination hall for two and a half hours. Six hours worth of late night studies, the previous day proved to be worthless. I see an 'F' coming. You have been on the read.cash platform for weeks, thinking deeper as ever to write nice articles in order to impress your readers, get likes, comments and subscriptions so that you could make few cents. But after going through all these struggles, it proved worthless. Getting 4 to 5 likes for writing your best article over 750 words, no tipping and few points. So what if the young man failed to win at the Olympics? What if the surgeon lost his patient? What if the woman's son was jailed and sentenced? So what if I failed my examination? And what if you still gain less, writing good articles? People face failure in everyday life. It is inevitable. No one can succeed in everything he or she does, it's just not realistic. The most important thing however, proof of true self worth, is getting back again. FAILURE IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS. So what if we fail? What if the world laughs at us? What if you've tried so many times but can't seem to get anything right? Well, I @ClDvor am here to let you know that if you do fail, smile, because that means you've learnt how not to achieve your goal. Try a different approach. If it is failing to beat an opponent in a competition, get better. If it's trouble with a learning skill, keep practising. If it's a particular examination, study harder and if it's writing good articles on read.cash, be motivated. DON'T EVER GIVE UP. If anyone is the personification of FAILURE, it's Abraham Lincoln, but over 200 years since his death, he is still remembered and this is simply because he never gave up, Neither should you. True success is born out of ashes of failure. **Remember you are the best version of you**. Thanks for reading this article. Hope you loved it. Please comment, like and subscribe for more.. Be motivated- @ClDvor.

Have you ever wondered why we fail sometimes? Failure is one of the common occurrences of our lives. When there are winners, there are losers too. When there is a chance of succeeding, there is an inevitable chance of failing too. These made me sit down to think about our responses anytime we fail and most of them are very discouraging. This thereby brings me closer to my next article entitled : "WHAT IF WE FAIL?".. Please show some love as usual. This article will be ready very soon. Thanks for your support.
Keep These In Mind, If you want an Easy Life. Here I am again talking about life. I am not an expert in life. We all have your differences and we are all looking forward to making things right. THANK YOU all for your support. It is good we have your backs. Don't forget to subscribe if you haven't. Before I continue, please check this article out. https://read.cash/@ClDvor/healing-benefits-of-laughter-and-humor-when-youre-stressed-out-2682528c `You are not so special`**.** This might sound absurd but here is why I am saying so. Your personality is not unique. Your strengths have been identified in other humans. Probably you aren’t even the only person to have your name. You are just another human. Nothing more. For the better side: Your problems aren’t so special, so they have been solved before. Your weaknesses aren’t special, so another person can tell you how to manage them. Your fears aren’t special, so conquer them. Those things are important to realize. What may be more important to realize is that none of your role models are special either. They are average human beings who decided to do special things, despite their humanity. `Your heroes will disappoint you` Every person, at some point, will let you down. The higher you place an individual on a pedestal, the further they have to fall. You want your role models to always be beacons of light and they aren’t. You want them to be a voice of certainty and they aren’t. It can be easy to feel foolish when a hero lets you down. You want them to be gods and they aren’t. No matter how disappointed you are, broken or falling. You are bound to rise up to your feet and face facts. Which is why I love this song by Shakira - 🎵Try everything.. Especially the line which says: 🎵Birds don't just fly. They fall down and get up.... Nobody learns without getting it wrong.🎵.. `You are not supposed to save everyone`. Trying to save everyone from everything will dismantle you. It’s like trying to make someone happy times a billion. Think you can heal the whole world? Spend 10 minutes on social media. Actually don’t even bother doing that. Just google “pandemic, It won’t take long to learn exactly how impotent you are. The human brain was not designed to handle all the world’s emergencies in real time. Don’t be a savior. Be a helper instead. Helpers don’t have an ego. Helpers get on board for a good cause. Helpers do the work. Helpers know that whatever they can give is enough. `Life doesn’t always make narrative sense` Hollywood’s lies are irresistible. We want them in real life. We want the bad guy to get his comeuppance. We want the days of our lives to have a meaningful arc. We want every journey to go full circle. Unfortunately, you can’t count on your journey to conclude at the end of 30 minutes, an hour, or even a season. Someone said; Life doesn’t make narrative sense. Life is just a series of revelations occurring over time. It’s easy to be emotionally stable when everything is going well. It’s much more difficult when the rug is pulled out from under you. So this is the little I have got to say. Let's comment and add if it you are cool with this. Thanks for reading my article. I am truly grateful. Be motivated - @ClDvor

Healing Benefits Of Laughter and Humor When You’re Stressed Out. Hello guys. I have an interesting article for you all . Please check out my recent article. https://read.cash/@ClDvor/common-habits-that-destroy-your-success-05ac0239 They say laughter is the best medicine, and it's true? Everyone is navigating novel situations because of the pandemic. Understandably, these new situations — working from home, homeschooling, working from home while homeschooling — are causing significant stress and anxiety in many of our households. Among a myriad of stress and anxiety management tools, my favorite is laughter. Humor heals, as long as you free yourself to tap into the benefits of laughter. Laughter is as powerful as an emotional release as crying is in its cascade of biological helpfulness **Here are some healing benefits of laughter and humor when you're stressed out.** **Laughter takes your mind off the situation.** Laughter has powerful distracting benefits. A sense of humor can heal. Looking for the humor in a situation and even allowing yourself to laugh can be a strong catalyst for coping and managing anxiety. As a bonus, when you share your laughter and humorous take about a common difficulty (as my friend did in her video), you help others take their minds off the situation, too. Your humor heals not only you, but those who can appreciate it. **Laughter triggers a biochemical reaction that eases discomfort.** What's especially interesting is the relationship between the biochemistry of anxiety and laughter. The amygdala is a very small area of the brain and is at the center of our threat response or fight-or-flight response. Yet, the amygdala is also responsible for laughter. While there's much more to learn about the biology of laughter, it can be particularly effective when it comes to releasing tension and stress, as well as tolerating anxiety and pain. **Laughter leads to greater health.** Science is strong for laughter’s health benefits. Laughing increases the production on immune cells and reduces cortisol, the hormone that's chronically high when an individual suffers from long-term stress and suppresses the immune system. It also lowers blood pressure, antibody levels rise, and the body’s natural anticarcinogenic response accelerates. Laughter truly is great medicine! **Laughter is a strong social catalyst.** Laughter is a powerful social glue. It connects us to others in that it releases the brain's feel-good chemicals called endorphins. It is also highly contagious. I am the kind who finds problem laughing at serious moments🤣.This makes laughter particularly efficient at building a connection, too. **Laughter improves mental performance.** Laughter improves cognition, which increases oxygen to the brain. Discovering for yourself how humor heals can be a pleasure in itself and is a powerful tool in terms of resetting your mood and boosting resilience. No matter the crisis, look for ways you can laugh. It will help! Back to my question, Is laughter the best medicine? Yes, but if you laugh for no reason, you need a medicine 🤣- @ClDvor . Thank you for reading. Please try leaving a comment. It will help. Like and subscribe for more. Be motivated - @ClDvor

Common Habits That Destroy Your Success. Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy. We do things intentionally or subconsciously that impede rather than advance our success. The first step in eliminating these destructive behaviors is acknowledging them. **Confusing busy with productive** Let’s face it, you can find enough work activities to keep you busy day, night and weekend. The question is: Are they the right things? I use to fall victim to this but thanks to this wonderful site. I feel redeemed. I use to stay online chatting unnecessarily with friends being busy but not productive. But now I can make a few cents with writing articles. For that I am grateful to the whole @Read.Cash team. It’s not the hours you put in or the number of items you’re working on simultaneously that make you successful. Focus on the items that have impact. Don't confuse being busy with making process. We measure our success on the busyness scale when in fact we should be evaluating our progress on the activities that will make the biggest impact on our goals. Corporate culture might reward “looking busy,” but true corporate success is the result of focused effort in pursuit of long-term goals. **Seeking perfection** “If you look for perfection, you’ll never be content.” In an ideal world, the pursuit of perfection would not only be noble, it would be rewarded. In the world we live in, it’s a recipe for frustration and a giant waste of time. The closest thing to perfection is the ability to be fully present. Without any distracting thoughts measuring or grading ourselves, we’re free to really be in the moment. It’s in that moment that we’re truly alive. Yet, the perfectionist isn’t typically present as they’re either busy critiquing the past and replaying their every decision or worrying about their future decisions.” Know when it is time to move on and make realistic goals for outcomes. Seeking perfection will either stop you in your tracks or waste energy that could be more productively applied elsewhere. **Avoiding risk** You must take calculated risks that will help you learn and grow. Without risk, you stagnate while those around you flourish and advance. Evaluate risks based on their ability to help you reach your goals, then pursue the ones that give you the best opportunity to move forward. **Letting fear impede progress** A ship is safe in the harbor, but that's not what ships are for. Fear can stop you in your tracks. It creates paralysis that causes stagnation. It often ferments in the imagination, where negative images can become larger than reality. If fear is impacting your progress, start with a mindset shift. Rather than letting it keep you from the starting line, let fear become the fuel that helps you take a first important step. **Fixing weaknesses** When you spend time “improving” weaknesses that aren’t related to your goals, you take time way from things that will drive results. Focusing too much time on you weaknesses is a formula for mediocrity. If you instead spent that time taking a relevant strength and maximizing it so you can be the best in that skill, it becomes easy for you to stand out and attract the attention of those who are making decisions about you. That’s the most efficient way to put yourself on the path to success. Ditch mediocrity and focus on your superlatives. Failing to plan is also a plan. It is a plan to fail. Let's all try to do our best. Thanks for your time reading. Hope you liked it. Please comment and like. Most importantly subscribe to me for more. Be motivated - @ClDvor

Hello guys. I am happy to write this short post today. I have put up an act to write one quote at least everyday. Today is no exception. Food for thought. "If it sounds too good to be true, Don't go for It." Evidence might be provided to make you fall for it. But trust your instincts. Better still "Think Twice" as one of our greatest writers, @Dangerous_fly would say. Check it out. Thanks for your love and support. All of you. I owe you. Have a blessed day. Be motivated - @ClDvor

How to Change the way you work. Hi guys. It is @ClDvor again. Today's article is basically on how to change the way you work. There are different ways to approach situations whenever they occur to you but the important question is: what is the outcome?? How are you managing your work? What do you focus on? Are you overly anxious? Way too stressed out? Or just in need of a little more mindfulness? I’m here to tell you that a bracing dose of self-awareness could be just the trick. To that end, I’ve culled together powerful ideas that will help you tame your stress levels, persevere through uncertainty, boost your creativity, and get more of the right things done with a smile on your face. **T******rack and appreciate every small step of progress you make******.** Yes. @Read.Cash thought me this. It’s in our DNA to want our hard work to matter… to know that our efforts made a difference. It’s why, believe it or not, janitors at hospitals have fairly high job satisfaction ratings. When they walk into a dirty room they know what they need to do, how it should look when they leave, and the positive impact their work will have on others who use the room. Then as they leave, they look around and feel a strong sense of accomplishment. Your progress might not be as easy to see, but the more you appreciate your hard work, the more productive you will become. Try looking at what you’ve been able to accomplish at the end of each day, and be aware that acknowledging even the smallest wins is very important. Keep notes and write down at least one thing you made progress on each day and why it mattered. Do this consistently for 30 days and watch how it affects your happiness and productive output. Also, consider adding mini celebrations to your routines. Too often you probably finish a task and then just move on to the next thing. I catch myself doing this all the time. I might have just written a very intricate email that required a lot of thinking and planning, but the moment I send it off, I’m already moving on to the next thing. Next time you catch yourself doing this, take a quick moment and celebrate your hard work. I try to make my celebrations fun, energizing and healthy. Here are five simple ways you can celebrate after some hard work on a project. Listen to your favorite song. Take a short walk and appreciate the fresh air. Call a good friend or colleague and tell them about a particular accomplishment. Eat a small piece of dark chocolate. Write a couple lines in your gratitude journal. Simple celebrations like these keep you feeling positive and you would grow motivations for the next task ahead. @ClDvor. **Find meaning in your tasks and projects.** Here in this case, in your articles. Each task you set out to do can either add to or subtract from your happiness. It can be something that helps you build a better career or something that annoys you. Each task has a purpose – even the smallest ones. If you feel like they really don’t have a purpose that’s meaningful to you, it’s time to find a way to stop doing it or get someone else to do it for you. Not all tasks were created equal, so look for ways that your tasks and projects are helping you accomplish your bigger goals. If you are asked to stuff thousands of marketing bags with corporate flyers, like I was asked to do at one point in my career, then understand the “why” behind it. Why are you choosing to accept this task? It could be as simple as your boss asked you to do it and you want to keep earning your paycheck to feed your family, or something more subjective like you are doing it because you hope, believe, or know that it will make future customers happy. When you can visualize the reaction that your hard work will have on others, it’s easier to stay motivated. Bottom line: By finding meaning in your tasks, you’ll do a better job and usually enjoy each task a lot more. Finally, seek out ways to deliver a smile and ask for help the minute you need it. Thank you so much for reading. Hope you loved it. Like, subscribe and comment to share ideas. It's @ClDvor - Be motivated.

Special thanks goes to @Dangerous_fly, a selfless guy who introduced me here to meet you wonderful guys. Trust me, his articles are superb. Another thank you to my sponsor and subscribers. You should know these facts anytime you feel hopeless. Life can get rough every now and then, and it’s no wonder that we lose hope, get discouraged and can’t figure out why we do what we do. Just like when I started writing articles here on read cash. I still have people to thank. In moments like these, we need to remind ourselves of the great stuff around us. Because it’s there, all the time. And if we focus on it, the rest doesn’t really matter, and we can move on with our life, stronger and more positive than ever. Here are some things to keep in mind that can always lift you up: **1.Time heals everything.** Whatever it is that you’ve been through, no matter how bad you think your situation is, it will go away. You’ll learn to live with it, and eventually you’ll forget it. You’ll get used to living without a certain person, or to a change in your lifestyle. **2.Opportunities are everywhere.** With each new day the world offers you countless opportunities. Your job is to notice, be open to and make the best of them. **3.There are people out there who can support you and motivate you.** Maybe you’re surrounded by toxic people, who only think about themselves, are negative, complain about life, never listen to you, don’t respect your goals and constantly make you feel down. You don’t need them. In fact, if you keep being around them, you won’t reach your goals or feel any happier. But don’t forget that there are others out there with the same interests, communities you can join, friends you can make. So get up and find them. **4.If you don’t like something about yourself, you can always change it.** Don’t feel hopeless if you hate your body, aren’t productive, don’t have a skill, don’t like your style, aren’t confident or are too shy to talk to new people. All that can be changed quite easily. Just know why you’re doing it and be consistent. If you have a definite desire, if you really want to improve your life and become a better version of yourself, take a small step each day towards that. **5.Nothing is as bad as it looks.** We tend to overdramatize situations and often they appear worse in our minds, when actually everything is temporary, and can be changed. Keep that in mind. **6.Life is simple.** So stop complicating it. Ditch your great expectations, stop trying to guess what people mean and ask directly. Throw away all the belongings you haven’t used lately and make some space in your apartment. Let go of past and future and focus on the now. Eliminate the tasks from your to-do list that someone else can finish, or that aren’t urgent, or have nothing to do with your goals and the things you want in life. **7.You don’t need to do or have anything in particular to be happy.** So many people seek happiness in outer sources – they feel a void inside them and try to fill it by loving someone and spending all their time with him, by shopping, partying, moving to another place, changing their appearance, etc. And they feel even worse after that. That’s because happiness can be found only on the inside. And that void is a sign that you haven’t fixed your relationship with yourself – you don’t love, appreciate, accept and listen to yourself. Start doing that, together with appreciating what you already have, being present and enjoying the little things, and you’ll see the world from a different point of view – you’ll fill your days with gratitude and contentment, and happiness will come. And know that failure and mistakes are blessings. Moreover better things are coming. I would take this time to thank all my subscribers. I owe you all. Most importantly comment and like. Upvote will be gladly needed😃👍. Do well to subscribe and be subscribed back. A simple done will do. @Dangerous_fly,@Bestie, @Sarahmay, @scottcbusiness and you all. Thanks again.

It's been so long Since we met, Since we ever had a real conversation. I've missed you so much Yes, you sure do know that's true. Thank you. Please comment and let's see how well I did. It is still @ClDvor. Be motivated.

What to Do When You Have No Motivation. Before I start, I am using this opportunity to thank all those who supported and are still supporting me. I am truly grateful. Please let's continue to subscribe foe more interesting articles......... Whether you can’t get motivated to clean your house or you just aren’t feeling motivated to lose weight, a lack of motivation can be the biggest obstacle to reaching your goals. Sometimes the number you views you get when you write an article you love can discourage you. Especially when I started writing articles here on read.cash. When you have no motivation to complete a task (or even start one), consider the possible reasons why you’re struggling. Then, develop a plan to help motivate yourself to get going. Keep in mind that not every strategy works for everyone—or in every situation. Perform some behavioral experiments to see which strategies best help you reach your goals. Consider the Reasons Why Sometimes, no motivation can be the problem. At other times, it’s merely the symptom of a bigger problem. For example, if you’re a perfectionist, your lack of motivation may stem from fear that you won’t complete a task flawlessly. Until you address this need to be perfect, your motivation isn’t likely to increase. At other times, your lack of motivation may cause you to procrastinate. I give credit to @Dangerous_fly for devoting his time to write a great article on Procrastination. And the more you procrastinate, the less motivated you feel. In this case, improving your motivation to get work done can help you feel better and perform better. So it’s important to take a few minutes to consider why you might have trouble motivating yourself. Here are some common reasons for a lack of motivation: **Avoidance of discomfort.** Whether you don’t want to feel bored when doing a mundane task, or you are trying to avoid feelings of frustration by dodging a tough challenge, sometimes a lack of motivation stems from a desire to avoid **uncomfortable feelings**. **Self-doubt.** When you think you can’t do something—or are convinced you can’t tolerate the distress associated with a certain task—you’ll likely struggle to get started. **Being over-extended.** When you have a lot going on in life, you’ll likely feel overwhelmed. And this feeling can zap your motivation. **Lack of commitment to a goal.** Agreeing to a task simply because you felt obligated, or declaring a resolution out of peer pressure, may mean your heart really isn’t in it. And you likely won’t take action when you aren’t committed to your goal. **Mental health issues.** A lack of motivation is a common symptom of **depression**. It can also be linked to other **mental illness**, like **anxiety**. So it’s important to consider whether your mental health may be affecting your motivation level. [sponsors] These are just a few common reasons why people sometimes lack motivation. You might find that your lack of motivation stems from other issues, like the fear of what people think or a desire to please everyone. So carefully consider the underlying thoughts and feelings that are affecting your drive. Act as If You Feel Motivated You may be able to trick yourself into feeling motivated by changing your behavior. Act as if you felt motivated, and your actions may change your emotions. For example, rather than sit on the couch in your pajamas all day waiting for motivation to strike, get dressed and get moving. You might find that taking action will increase your motivation, which makes it easier to keep going. So ask yourself, “What would I be doing right now if I felt motivated?” Consider what you’d be wearing, how you’d be thinking, and what actions you’d be taking. Then, do these things, and see if your motivation level increases. Practice Self-Compassion You might think being hard on yourself is the key to getting motivated. But harsh self-criticism doesn’t work. Research shows that self-compassion is actually much more motivating, especially when you are struggling with adversity. So rather than beat yourself up for mistakes or call yourself names, create a kinder inner dialogue. This doesn’t mean you need to repeat exaggeratedly positive affirmations like, “I’m the best person in the world,” however. Instead, healthy self-compassion balances self-acceptance with self-improvement. Acknowledge your flaws, mistakes, and failures with honesty. But don’t indulge in a pity party. This is the little I can say for now. Thank you once again for your time. Please comment and like so we share ideas. Be motivated - @ClDvor..

Before you go back to your old routine, ask yourself this. Please don't forget to comment, like and subscribe for more. Everyday life for many of us before the pandemic was a whirlwind of work, family, and social engagements. Mine, @ClDvor was a whirlwind of school work in an enclosed environment where going out was not allowed. In this fog of responsibilities and anxieties, it often felt impossible to find the space and quiet to reflect on whether this was the life we really wanted. Then came the pandemic. Like sediment sinking to the bottom of a jar when you stop shaking it, many distractions disappeared. That was sometimes terrifying, sometimes boring, but as Amy Shearn argued on Medium recently, it can also be clarifying. When the chatter of your normal routine quiets, it is easier to make out the sound of your own inner voice. And what many of us have heard screaming out of the stillness is that we really don't want to go back to "normal." **Pointing the way to a new normal** We miss friends and loved ones, of course, as well as a world without the threat of contagion, illness, and death. Entrepreneurs certainly miss a more optimistic and predictable business environment. But in the long weeks at home, many of us have intuited that when the world opens up again, we don't want our lives, our routines, or even our politics to look exactly the same. But what changes do you want to make exactly? Shearn offers a brilliantly simple thought experiment to help you clarify what adjustments you need to make to your life. Here it is: Clear your mind, close your eyes, and simply ask yourself: What do I miss most right now? Capture the first thing that comes to mind. Not the second thing, which will be what you think you should miss most. The first, automatic thing. And to be clear, I mean a specific thing in your own life, something you can control. Maybe what rises first to your mind is a leafy outdoor space. Maybe it's a window seat on a transatlantic flight. Maybe it's a big, loud restaurant table packed with friends. Maybe it's hammering out a deal in person. Whatever your answer, Shearn insists you should take it seriously, even if it doesn't match with your pre-pandemic self-image. The thing you were longing for most in the middle of the pandemic stillness is a surer guide to what you really value and desire than the carefully constructed, socially influenced self we usually show the world. Who you were before is, at least in part, who you thought you should be. What you see in your lockdown daydreams is who you truly are. So take a minute, close your eyes, and picture the thing you're missing most without judgment or self-consciousness. Write it down, and as you begin to construct your new normal, make sure to build it to include more of whatever is on that paper. [sponsors] Thank you for your time and support. Be motivated - @ClDvor.👏

Two Important skills for people who value intelligence. We all differ in our abilities to solve problems, learn, think rationally, acquire new knowledge and integrate existing and new ideas. But you can improve your ability to function at your cognitive best in all areas of your life — you can significantly improve how you think — given the right tools, methods and mental models. I, @CLDvor am saying that intelligence is always work in progress. The good news is, you don’t have to learn everything in hours, days or even months. The focus should always be on progress. Getting smarter takes genuine commitment. You need to work hard at it. Knowledge builds up, like compound interest says Warren Buffett. If you value intelligence, some of these skills can help you improve your capacity to learn new information, retain it, then use that new knowledge to solve your next problem, or learn the next new skill, and so on. **The ability to challenge received knowledge.** The smartest people never stop challenging received wisdom, no matter how many years they’ve been passed down from history. They don’t stop questioning the obvious. “Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth.” Albert Einstein said that. Scientists are great at asking questions, verifying “truth” and building on received theories. Newton discovered a lot of scientific knowledge but Einstein still questioned his discoveries and came up with new theories. Today scientists are still building on what they already know. Conventional wisdom can breed a fear of change. Sometimes it fosters an over-reliance on old knowledge, tools, principles that may not be as relevant as they once were. People who value improved knowledge don’t stop questioning the obvious. “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning,” says Einstein. We’re human, and we see the world with our strong bias — our own experiences and curiosities. We see only patterns that fit with our existing knowledge and strong beliefs. It pays to challenge ‘assumed truths’ — it’s one of the best ways to think more broadly about topics you care about their impact on your life and career. Intelligent people constantly think of and ask better questions, and they tolerate their own mistakes as they move up the learning curve. **The ability to consider problems from multiple perspectives.** Smart people see value in all types of knowledge. “…intelligent people are “willing to accept and consider other views with value and broad-mindedness,” and that they are “open to alternative solutions, ” writes Donna Hammett, former librarian, newspaper editor. Many people often feel threatened when their ideas are opposed. While smart people adopt new beliefs when presented with evidence of their blindspots, others reject different perceptions that challenge what they’ve been taught to be the conventional wisdom. An openness to new ideas can help you understand things better and have a better chance to find multiple valid solutions. “The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function.”F. Scott Fitzgerald, a writer and best known for The Great Gatsby said that. You can use this philosophy to gain a fresh perspective on ideas and existing problems and to power breakthrough thinking. Whatever your position, opinion or belief about specific issues or ideas in life and career, ask yourself “What if” I consider another perspective. “You’re acting mindfully when you don’t simply dismiss activities and thoughts because they seem unappealing or even silly at first,” says Ellen Langer, Ph.D., a Harvard psychologist. You don’t even have to immediately change your perception. You are just opening yourself up for new experiences before jumping to conclusions It is @CLDvor again, thanking you for your time. Be Prepared Always. ( PART I) It is me, @ClDvor writing on another motivational article about PREPARATION and DESIRE. Preparation and desire are going to give you that title, nothing else. Now, the desire is hugely important. Yes, it is, but if you haven't prepared to win, you better get prepared to fail. If you throw two guys into a ring to fight to the death, who wins? Yes, the guy with the biggest desire to win wins. What if they both have the desire ? The guy who has prepared the best for the battle, the guy who trained harder, who sacrificed more, who wanted it more, that's the guy that wins. He who wins every time because he has more in his luck. He can go one more round, he can tale one more hit, he can get up one more time. Now don't get me wrong, he still needs to have the heart to follow through, the guts to make things happen when there seems to be no chance for anything to happen but nothing beats preparation with desires. I repeat, Nothing. Do you know? When a baby giraffe is born, the mother giraffe gives birth to it standing up. So the first thing that happens to a new born baby giraffe is a huge fall of about 2 metres. What a way to enter into the world. No loving cuddle, no smiles, just a giant drop. It gets worse when the poor little giraffe shakes of the initial shock and tries to stand up on its four legs. You would think the mother would try to help her little baby. NO, not this time. The mother then proceeds to kick the legs out from under this little baby sending its sprawling back to the ground. Baby giraffe tries again and again. The mother kicks the baby legs out, knocking it to the ground again. The process is repeated over and over until the new born giraffe is so exhausted that it can't even stand. At this point the mother would kick it again forcing it to its feet. Now you are probably thinking , is this mother awful or an exception. NO. This happens to all new born baby giraffes. WHY? Because the mother is preparing the child to survive predators in the wide. The baby's first lesson within seconds of entering this world is GET BACK ON YOUR FEET, BE PREPARED. In order to reach any level of success in your life, sometimes you always have to get to your feet after suffering setbacks, and all the time you are going to have to be PREPARED. 6 Ways To Reconnect With Your Routine And Motivate Your Life. **A little stability can make a huge difference.** From writing daily to waking up early in order to exercise, routines are an essential component of surviving the mountain of distractions and obligations available to every adult. Major life changes, low motivation, and self-doubt and high stress can cause us to slip away from our routines and fall into any number of problematic habits. Reconnecting with your routines is often harder to do the longer you shelve them, but eventually, you may find yourself missing the days when you had higher productivity and a steady sleep schedule. Finding your way to a balanced lifestyle has its own unique blend of effort and failure, but the following six steps should help you on your way. 1. Track your time When we cast our routines aside, we tend to use our time in other ways. Keeping track of the hourly activities you engage in for an average day or two can help you get a sense of where your time is going. This is a straightforward way to motivate yourself to reconnect with your routines and help you begin a habit of long-term time budgeting. Beginning this practice can be as simple or complicated as you're comfortable making it. You can jot down what you're doing every hour in a notebook or break down your day in five-minute intervals on a spreadsheet. 2. Take things slow There's a strong chance that you're eager to dive right into the lifestyle you lost track of. Whether you want to adjust your sleeping routine, commit to a solid hour of writing every morning, or exercise daily, you run the risk of feeling discouraged when you realize that you're out of practice. Working through your routines is a challenging and imperfect process. If you've been staying up until 3 a.m., you may do what I've done and try to stay awake until your desired bedtime. Often, you'll fall asleep in the middle of the day and find yourself frustrated. Alternately, trying to force yourself into bed awake at your desired bedtime may just result in staring at your ceiling until 3 a.m. Don't let yourself be thrown off by the idea of taking things slowly. 3. Prepare for mistakes The greatest danger in reconnecting with your routines is discouragement resulting from failure. Even if you start strong, you'll relapse into your non-routines the first few tries. Understanding this allows you to have a more flexible standard for yourself. Maybe you'll fail to wake up early enough and it'll be too hot to safely make it up. Tomorrow's a new day to try again, and over time each little success will pull you away from a lack of motivation or confidence as you reshape your lifestyle. The example I'm most familiar with is my abuse of YouTube and Twitter, which had entirely thrown off my writing routine. On a good day, I'm awake for 12-14 hours. I average six hours with a YouTube video playing in the background or taking my full and undivided attention. I deleted the YouTube app from my phone on June 28 and made it two full days before pulling up a "let's play" on my laptop. I failed, but it's not an excuse to keep wasting my time sitting around watching videos. Two days later, I've managed to keep myself away from YouTube and found better productivity when listening to non-visual distractions like music and podcasts. I really enjoy a good half hour of silence sometimes, too. I dealt with Twitter about a year ago, managing to distance myself from it and turn off my notifications long enough that I could stop using it altogether. Now, I use it for two hours per day on average. Today, I've used it for about 20 minutes. I was checking Twitter frequently, making for an average of four hours every day in short intervals. On some weekends at school, I spent as much as 10 hours in my day using these two apps and occasionally glancing at unfinished assignments in my dorm. Now, after several attempts and occasional mistakes, I'm feeling satisfied with my habits and rekindling my old writing routines. 4. Plan thoroughly You should have specific expectations for yourself, even if you're likely to fall short of your plans the first few times. Knowing that you want to wake up at 6 a.m. every morning is much better than wanting to wake up "earlier." Track the miles you do run if you don't make the original distance you planned. Set manageable goals that you can measure that enable you to measure progress. 5. Consistency is key Try not to readjust your goals every time you fall short of them. Consistency is key, meaning that having the same goal to strive for will take you farther than adjusting your goal every other day. However, remember that failing to meet your goal initially is to be expected. Remaining consistent helps you ensure that you keep a realistic goal for yourself and don't settle for a routine that misaligns with your expectations. 6. Re-evaluate Some of your old routines may deserve a second look as you get back into your old habits and pull yourself away from bad ones. If you have trouble jumping back into your old list of routines, you might have better progress by taking some baby steps. After forming unhealthy habits or losing motivation to carry out your routines over time, you may have to start small before working toward your more ambitious routines. In the process of trying out a more simplified set of routines, you may find some improvements to the old one. Routines are a crucial part of our everyday lives. Sometimes, we slip away from them though, and reconnecting with them can be challenging. It is important that we have the patience to grow and improve once we've settled into low productivity and unhealthy habits. Trust me.. These ways really help to reconnect with your routine and motivate your life.. A lil motivation from @CLDvor Thank you for reading..
