If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true, that is to say, it is not true. If we talk about business, I have seen so many scams over decades, and it has always been so: things sounding too good, are never true. That doesn't mean people are not falling for it. On the contrary, unrealistic expectations seem to speak to something special in the human mind. A lot of people are willing to believe in something that simply has no chance to happen; and their enthusiasm is infecting, making more and more people believe in it. Until the day it all breaks. It is similar with everything, but it is most clearly visible when we talk about business, investment programs and such things.
