Practice Gratitude

Let us be grateful everyday not only to the people who make us happy, but to the life that was given to us by the Almighty God.

What do you have to be grateful today?

Being thankful is good for our health. In a 2015 University of California study those who exhibited higher levels of gratitude were shown to have better quality of sleep, more positive moods and less symptoms if potential heart failure.

Unfortunately, it is easier to see faults than find cause for thanks. We've lost the ability to simply be thankful to what we've got. Maybe we're too busy, more caught up with our own lives.

Allow yourself to show gratitude at all time

Try to consciously put gratitude and thanks ahead criticism. Gracious and emphatic people find effortless to show gratitude to others and do not focus on being critical. If that's hard for you, look around for inspiration, Is there someone who seems to show thanks without effort or question asked?

Identify whom you are grateful to

Explore who has earned your gratitude by asking yourself. "What am I truly grateful in my life?" List the things you're thankful for and trace them back to the people who've earned your gratitude.

Be creative in how your demonstrate your gratitude. Follow up your thoughts with words and deeds.

Thank you for reading ❤️

It is true and uplifting to practice gratitude.

When you tell someone, "I love you. I'm proud of you. You did a great job on that project." You're not just being kind; those are healing words. We don't know what people are going through. They may smile on the outside, but on the inside, they're hurting, they're lonely, they're insecure. Many people have wounds from the past, wounds from people putting them down, wounds from a relationship that didn't work out. Just a simple word of encouragement, "I'm praying for you." A simple compliment, "You look great today." It's no big deal to you, but to them, it's helping heal the wound, it's lifting their spirits, it's causing them to believe in themselves. Your words can be what keeps them moving forward.

Let'z make it part of ourselves used to giving thanks.

Practicing to be grateful for what we have. Learning also to be patient that not all the things we asked will be granted in just a snap of finger.

I doubt people 50, 100, or 200 years ago we're more grateful and less busy. They worked way harder, didn't had all the luxury of machines and tech helping them out. Most lived in fear and struggled to survive the day. It is the luxury of the human today to talk about "happiness", how to achieve it, and why we feel what we feel.

I doubt it can be measured how old a person should get and if the " getting older" can be measured at all. There are too many factors influencing a person's happiness these days. Poverty, the stress of government's bills piling up, living and raising children in a dangerous area, being over sensitive, health issues (already the knowledge about it is good for anxiety), etc.

Strong doubts I have about the believers. They do not shine, hardly smile, live in more fear, with more doubts than those who do not believe.

It's good to focus on the positive things as well but it won't help to fake gratefulness if you don't feel it that way. Those people with their tags about gratefulness are in many cases people with a fake life, low self-esteem, joining a club, and hope to be accepted but inside they cry and die. Those taggers are not the ones who like to hear from you if you suffer because these feelings are negative and should be under pressure which is not healthy.

Heart diseases, failures... I doubt they leave or never show up with optimistic people, those who are always smiling, laughing out loud, do not see the danger, live in fear. It might be interesting to test although those people will not lead similar lives, eat, sleep, etc the same, same friends, character, job.

Good topic and if it works for you, you can truly feel it, it's good to smile. 💕

Thank you for reminding me that I must be grateful for so many good things that exist around me, endowed by God that they are completely free that we do not need money to buy them, and that I must always be grateful for being able to thank.
