Broken pieces of paving slabs or natural stone can be used to make crazy paving in a garden. Gaps for low-growing plants can be left in the edges of the path to create an irregular, natural effect

What is Parkinson's Disease?
A chronic, slowly progressive disease of the nervous system, also known as paralysis agitans or shaking palsy. Its manifestations are the result of the degeneration of nerve ganglia at the base of the brain. There is no known cause of Parkinson's disease although it may follow encephalitis or atheroma. Parkinson's disease is rare before age 50 and affects more men than women. Early symptoms include fine tremors in the hands, arms and legs and involuntary nodding of the head. Later the facial muscles begin to tighten and the expression becomes fixed and mask-like. Gradually, as muscular tremors affect the whole body, limbs become stiff and walking increasingly difficult until it is reduced to a stooped shuffle of small, rapid steps.
There is no known cure for Parkinson's disease but some of the more distressing symptoms like stiffness and tremors may be relieved by specific drug treatment. Exercise and massage are also helpful. In most cases, people suffering from this disease become depressed as their mobility and independence are curbed. Support agencies have been established to help both those people suffering from Parkinson's disease and their family members.
Garden with Paths and Patios Ideas
· **SLABS AND GRAVEL**
A combination of precast paving slabs and gravel make a neat, symmetrical path, with ground-covering plants breaking up the sharp outlines of the edges. The gravel spaces help to drain away rainwater but need regular applications of weedkiller.
· **ENGINEERING BRICKS**
A durable path can be made from engineering bricks which are available in different shades. Engineering bricks are expensive but they are impervious to water and so do not suffer from frost damage which can split ordinary bricks.
· **GRANITE SETTS**
In this informal garden, granite setts make an attractive pathway, the tones of grey blending well with the green of the plants. Old setts can sometimes be obtained from local authorities.
· **SETTS AND SHINGLE**
Granite setts laid in a repeated diamond pattern, with infills of shingle, make an unusual and attractive path. The stone basin at the end of the path provides a fine focal point.
· **CONCRETE SLABS**
Long paving slabs interspersed with shorter ones make a wide division between house and garden. The slabs are tough and easy to clean but must be laid evenly.
· **STONE SLABS WITH BRICKS**
Irregular slabs of stone laid in random groups are given form but not formality by the regular patterns of brickwork, perfectly complementing an informal garden.
· **STONE CHIPPINGS**
Granite chippings bordering flower beds make a hard-wearing alternative to grass. Occasional weeding replaces regular mowing.
Our Immune System

A second, specific defense system called immunity is much more selective in its targets. It operates against particular enemies that are identified and remembered by the immune system cells involved. if the enemies return the response is immediate.
The assault troops of specific immunity are white blood cells known as lymphocytes. There are two brigades of these troops, the so-called B cells, and T cells, and their battle tactics are quite different. The spearhead of the T cell brigade, the Killer T cells, are close-quarter fighters: they lock on to the enemy, sometimes a cell invaded by a virus, and secrete chemicals to destroy it. They are primed to recognize the antigen or chemical characteristics of the invader. Having attached to the enemy, they emit other substances that summon other T cells and macrophages to the attack.
B cells standoff and fight the invader with antibodies, proteins that exactly complement the chemical structure of the invading antigen. The antibodies combine with the antigen and initiate its destruction. Each B cell can secrete about 2000 antibodies per second.
A certain type of both B cells and T cells remembers any antigen after an initial encounter. If the same organism invades a second time these cells initiate a much swifter reaction than on the first occasion. This process can confer lifetime natural immunity to some diseases, such as measles.
Paths and Patios Garden
There is more to a garden path than a strip of concrete leading from the street to the front door. If the path is also to serve as a drive, there are some limits as to what materials may be used, but for walking paths and patios almost anything will do. It depends on the effect you’re trying to create.
Paths don’t have to be straight and narrow as though making a beeline for the front door. If the front garden is small, much of the area can be paved, and carefully placed plants in pots, tubs or even stoneware jars can be used to lead the way to the door. Paths should be planned so that they can be widened out into an offset patio if desired or lead through a row of shrubs into another part of the garden, meander from one feature to another or go full circle so that you return to your starting point. Their purpose is to make access to all areas of the garden both easier and more pleasant. In short, paths and patios should be part of the garden, not just service tracks and sitting areas.
A garden of native plants will look more natural with irregular paths, such as section-sawn logs, railway sleepers. If a grand entrance is preferred, any of the paving blocks in either concrete or brick can be effective. Precast concrete slabs or strips are hard-wearing, but it takes time and patience to lay them evenly. Gravel over hard-packed clay makes a good drive-cum-walking path but is not good beside lawns: the stones get on the grass and if picked up by the mower can cause damage or injury. Also, if the land has too great a slope, river gravel will wash away in heavy rains.
Paths on sloping blocks usually are comprised of a series of steps and some flat areas – like landings on stairs. Careful planning and selection of materials can turn what might otherwise be a long uphill slug into an enjoyable, gentle climb. Where a section of steps rises steeply to a higher level, try to plan a paved flattish area at the top. If the slope is gradual, build a series of steps of equal number rising to small landings rather than one long unbroken flight of steps.
For the handyman, path, ratio, and step building are among the most satisfying of all jobs around the house. There is also the added attraction that, with the exception of wet concrete, you can re-do any part you’re not happy with or, as often happens, re-use the same materials a different way in a few years' time.
Infertility
Couples who have not conceived after twelve months of trying are considered to be subfertile. The reason for subfertility is found to be due to the male inn 40 percent of cases, 40 percent to the female, and in 20 percent in cases subfertility is found in both. In men, subfertility may be due to absence or insufficiency of sperm in the semen. Blockage of the ejaculatory ducts or inability to ejaculate. In women, the problem may be failure to ovulate, blockage of the tubes or a defect of the uterus. Also, there may be factors in the seminal fluid or in the cervical mucus which cause the sperm to lose their motility, and thus prevent them from reaching the ovum in the tube.
**Investigations and treatments for subfertility are:**
· Analysis of the semen. If the sperm count is less than 20 million per milliliter, the cause may be sought and treated if possible.
· Tests to see whether the woman is ovulating. These usually include keeping a basal body temperature chart, observing the cervical mucus, and measuring blood hormones.
· Post-coital test. Some mucus is taken from a woman’s cervix within 2 hours of intercourse. If moving sperm are found in this mucus it is certain that there are healthy sperm in the semen, that the semen is being deposited in the right place, and that there is no incompatibility between the seminal fluid and the cervical mucus.
· Tests to see whether or not the tubes are blocked. This may be done by X-Ray (hysterosalpingogram), or by laparoscopy or laparotomy. If a blockage is found it may be able to be corrected by surgery.
· Sperm migration tests. The man’s semen is tested with the woman’s cervical mucus and donor cervical mucus to measure the progress of sperm through the mucus. If sperm movement is impeded in the partner’s mucus, the cause (such as antibodies, infection) can be sought and treated.
· About 10-12 percent of couples are subfertile. For half of these couples the cause can be remedied. For those who remain infertile, possible options may be adoption, artificial insemination or in-vitro fertilization.

Do you experience having acne (or most commonly known as PIMPLES)?
It decreases our confidence, right?
Acne is an inflammation of the skin centered in the sebaceous glands. It is usually found where the sebaceous glands are most active - on the face, neck, and upper trunk. At puberty, male hormones (androgens - produced in both males and females) stimulate the increased production of sebum. Sebaceous ducts may become blocked by skin overgrowth to form a whitehead, or by plugs of sebum which darken on exposure to air, forming a blackhead. When the sebum trapped in a whitehead or blackhead is forced into the deeper skin layers an inflammatory reaction causes a red lump called a papule. If the infection follows, pus collects, and a classic pimple (pustule) is seen. When the inflammatory reaction is severe, large, painful cysts may form.
It is not clear why some people suffer from constant or frequent acne while others have it rarely or never. There seems to be an inherited tendency for skin and sebaceous glands to over-react to androgens, which explains why acne tends to run in families. Acne remains a source of misery for many young people. there are many effective treatments that can reduce the frequency and severity of eruptions. All acne sufferers should see their doctor or a dermatologist for an assessment of the most suitable treatment.
**Some important points about acne:**
It is definitely stress-related, so you are more likely to have a flare-up when you are under any sort of physical or emotional strain.
Avoid picking and squeezing, which may force more sebum into deep skin layers, causing increased inflammation. Fingers may also introduce infection.
You won't see the benefit of any treatment for at least six weeks, so persevere and be patient.
There is no connection at all between diet and acne, in spite of all you'll hear about it being caused by everything you like. Nevertheless, a well-balanced diet is good for everyone.
Moderate exposure to sunlight usually helps acne.
Don't scrub. Scrubbing stimulates overgrowth of skin cells, aggravating the condition. Wash twice a day with plain soap, and dry gently.
Blackheads do not result from uncleanliness or the use of cosmetics.
Disguising an unsightly spot with a water-based cover cream won't aggravate the condition and is good for your morale.
Wearing your hair in a fringe does not cause acne on the brow.

The abdomen contains all the important organs of digestion and excretion - the stomach, intestines, liver and gall-bladder, pancreas, kidneys, and ureters - as well as the spleen (important in blood cell formation and breakdown) and the adrenal glands. The lower abdomen or pelvis contains the internal organs of reproduction - the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and uterus in women and the seminal vesicles and prostate in men - and the bladder. Abdominal pain may be caused by disorders in any of these organs. The severity, speed, and circumstances of onset, site, and accompanying symptoms of the pain will usually give a good indication of whether its cause is a minor or serious disorder.
Consult a doctor immediately:
if pain follows a blow or injury to the abdomen or back.
If the pain remains severe or gets worse over 2 hours.
If the pain is associated with vomiting (especially vomiting blood), fever, or fainting.
If pain occurs in a woman who is or may be pregnant, especially if it is accompanied by dizziness or fainting and/or any abdominal bleeding from the vagina.
See a doctor as soon as possible:
If pain is bad enough to interfere with sleep or usual daily activities.
If bouts of pain are recurrent.
If there have been previous attacks of similar pain due to peptic ulcers, gallstones, kidney stones, or suspected appendicitis.
When there is persistent pain, even if not severe, in a child under 6 or an elderly person.
Possible causes of abdominal pain:
Disorders of the alimentary canal, including gastric or duodenal ulcers, gastroenteritis, appendicitis, colitis, diverticulitis, indigestion, bowel obstruction, or perforation.
Disorders of the digestive glands, such as hepatitis, cholecystitis, gallstones, pancreatitis. Digestive system pain may be felt in the upper, middle, or lower abdomen: it is often colicky and may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
Urinary disorders, including nephritis, pyelonephritis, urinary stones, cystitis. Kidney pain is usually. Felt in the small of the back. Bladder disorders cause pain in the lower abdomen or genitals.
Disorders of the reproductive system. In women, the commonest causes are dysmenorrhea (cramps associated with normal menstruation), disorders of early pregnancy such as abortion (miscarriage), ectopic pregnancy, salpingitis, and other pelvic infections, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and ovulation pain. These conditions usually cause lower abdominal or lower back pain and may be accompanied by abnormal bleeding or discharge from the vagina. In men, the commonest reproductive disorder causing abdominal pain is prostatitis.
NK Christians
Tens of thousands of Christians in North Korea are believed to be detained in unspeakably harsh conditions in prison labor camps. Abused and worked to death, Christians are often dispatched to the camps, along with their entire families, simply for possessing a Bible, or for being caught praying. Some have been publicly executed. North Korea is consistently ranked as the most dangerous country in the world to be a Christian. Believers meet in secret, facing the fear of death or life-long imprisonment; authorities have been known to try and trap Christians by organizing fake prayer meetings and asking children in school if they have seen their parents praying or even reading the Bible.
Although the freedom for all religions is severely restricted in North Korea, Christians suffer the most severe persecution. Their failure to follow the ideology of Juche, which venerates the country's despotic ruler Kim Jong Un, is seen as a threat to the state. The economic situation for most of the population is extremely poor and has been exacerbated by flooding which damaged last year's harvest, leaving swathes of the population facing starvation. The government maintains extremely tight control of information; North Koreans have no access to foreign media and the availability of Christian literature is severely limited.
Hundreds of thousands of North Koreans, including many Christians, have fled to China and South Korea, although the Chinese government routinely repatriates those caught crossing the border, or found living in China. Those returned who are suspected of being Christians experience the harshest treatment.

Most people suffer from backache at some time during their lives. Each year in Australia over 5 million days are lost from work because of back pain. The majority of backaches are not symptoms of serious disease. Most cases are the result of minor strains or injuries: about 70 percent of sufferers will have recovered within a week and over 90 percent within a month.
the spine is a very complex structure that is never still. The slightest movement, including breathing, involves the spine. Most back pains are the result of disturbances of spinal movements due to minor strains or injuries to the joints between the vertebrae or the surrounding muscles and ligaments. Man's upright posture puts additional stress on the neck and lumbar regions, which are the commonest sites of back pain. The pain may be sharp and sudden in onset, or an ache may develop gradually over several hours or overnight. There is often an obvious cause such as unaccustomed activity, or a strain during strenuous movement (lifting, digging, twisting the trunk), but many back pains come on without relation to any particular activity.

Because you cannot tell that they are undergoing a great trial but still they manage to smile and most especially they know how to thank God despite of these challenges.
Involving others to your own problem
this kind of person should not be imitated by anyone for it is the evil that causes them distress. They like to involve other people who have nothing to do with their problems. And instead of finding a solution, they are just making their lives worse.
Living the life
it is very similar to the "blessed type" person. Hiding the difficulty behind their smile is easy to them. You can't tell how sad their inner self is because they are so skilled at hiding it and feeling its abstinence.
Action is better than words
we have this saying in life that *"action speaks louder than words"* and that's what this kind of person knows to do. Instead of dragging someone's life into their own problems, instead of feeling chill while facing challenges this type of person wanted to find a better way or find a better solution for their own problems by their own self. Without asking for somebody's help. Just themselves.
And I am sure that there are a lot more types, but I can't enumerate them one by one now because I haven't encountered one it yet.

Hi, I am Cherryline a writer of thoughts and sometimes a composer too.
I just wanted to tell you an inspiring story first, so this picture was taken way back year 2018. That was the night when we graduated from Senior High School. Those are my circle of best friends, and as you can see we all got our medals coming from the sacrifices we made together in school. Well, I am so inspired even if it is hard due to the schedule but at least we made it, together.
I also wanted to share a written art that was originally made by the Orchid section. Actually, before it was only a poem but we put some music on it and it became a song. This became the theme song of our section when we are in grade 11.
We put together our inspiration to create something special using our words and using our own feelings putting it together. I hope I can share it with music but I can't. So I post only the lyrics in the English version.

Based on my own definition coming from my own experiences parang same lang sila ng meaning, same to forgot. But in fact, yung isang word parang okay lang hindi sinasadya. On the other hand, ang isa ay malungkot naman kung mararanasan.

**Frozen Christmas Cheesecake Wreath**
250g premium mixed dried fruit (dates, craisin, fig etc)
1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
1/3 cup orange juice
1 ½ cups crushed plain chocolate biscuits
90g butter, melted
750g PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese softened
395g can condensed milk
½ cup caster sugar
100g baking milk chocolate, chopped
1 ½ thickened cream, whipped
100g baking milk chocolate, extra, broken into pieces
1/3 cup thickened cream, extra
Cherries, for decoration
Mint leaves, for decoration
3x30g CUDBURY FLAKE, broken into shards, for decoration
1. Combine the fruit with the cinnamon and juice in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on 100% power for 1 minute. Allow the fruit to plump and cool.
2. Combine the biscuit crumbs and butter. Grease and paper line a 25cm springform pan. Grease and line the exterior of a straight-sided glass (approx. 10 cm diam) and place it into the center of the pan. Press the crumbs into the base around the glass to form a wreath or ring. Chill until firm.
3. BEAT the PHILLY, condensed milk and sugar with an electric mixer until smooth. Stir in the prepared fruit and chopped chocolate, then gently fold through the whipped cream. Spoon into the prepared pan, cover and freeze overnight.
4. Combine the extra chocolate and cream in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on 100% power for 60-90 seconds stirring until melted and smooth to make a sauce. Cool slightly.
5. Remove the cheesecake from the pan and twist the glass to remove from the center, place it into the serving plate. Drizzle the sauce decoratively over the wreath. Return to the freezer until the sauce has hardened.
6. Decorate with fresh cherries, mint leaves, and shards of FLAKE just prior to serving.
