The celebration

Today were are having a celebration for our nephew's achievements.He is now an engineer.The whole family are so proud of him.

Last November 14-15 he take the board exam and thanks God he did it ,he passed the board exam just in one take.

All his hardwork ,the sleepless night was paid off.

Before he went to Tacloban City where he take the board exam ,I told him that were going to Marangog ,I already wrote an article about it .We went there ,for a "panagkot"or offer a prayer then lighting a candle.He was enrolled a reviewer center in Cebu City when the pandemic started ,he quickly go home and hindi siya naabutan ng lockdown sa Cebu.Kinabukasan talaga pagkadating niya ,the government implemented the whole country was under the ECQ .He continue the review through online.And I witness how hard he was doing ,before we are living them .Sometimes my son wake up at the middle of the he still awake ,he studying very hard .He sleep everynight around 1-2am ,imagine the struggles he encounter.

The board exam was always moved since we are facing the pandemic and finally the exam sa happened.

After the board exam ,I saw his worried face ,he is worrying he might not passed the exam ,he said he is not so sure for his answer coz it was really hard but then because of his hardwork ,prayers and family support ,he was able to passed the exam.

November 25 the result was out ,he felt nervous while checking if he is one of those who passed and gladly he saw his name in board passers list and he was crying ,tears of joy was came out from his eyes.He quickly called his mother through video call and of course his mother was the crying because of too much joy.So I told him we should go back to Marangog to light a candle again as offer a thanks giving prayer.November 28 ,we went back to marangog and the joy in his eyes was so priceless.

Anyways ,his mother was only the one who raised him ,afford him to go to school even if it was so hard for his mother.His parents was separated because his father was an iresponsible father .

According to him ,so much pressure was there ,he was afraid he can't pass the exam coz for him having a license as an engineer was his gift to his mother.When we are going to marangog it was suddenly rained and we stuck for almost 30minutes in a small chapel there ,since we are only riding a motorcyle ,we need to stop for us not to get wet.While waiting for the rain to stop ,we are having a happy chit chat ,he shared his expierenced during the exam, coz after the exam he was lonely and not even go out more often ,as a family we encourage him to have a positive mind ,as long as the result was not out ,there's a chance that he could pass.So ,that time he shared his experience and the pamahiin he did.

According to him "wala namang mawawala kung susudin ko yung mga pamahiin when taking the board exam"

The first thing we do was went to marangog asking a guidance of our Lord and we promised to go back there when he pass the exam.This is mostly examenee did if they are a catholic.

Second I told him to wear something red as a I remember my ate taking her board exam ,she was wearing red underwear and our nephew ,did that also ,he was wearing a red underwear.

Third-a licensed engineer sharpened his pencil which he used for the exam.It was the father's of his classmates which already an engineer.

Fourth -kicking the table after the exam.

Fifth -Never turning back the room where he was taking the exam.

And we know ,he passed this because of his hardworks and his trust to our Almighty GOD.

So ,today I was busy preparing for our celebration for his success.Since his mother was not here ,so I am the one who manage everything for the celebration but his the one who bought the things we need.

At the morning ,I was busy cooking spaghetti and lumpia and he is the who cooked the pancit ,shrimp and the chicken menudo.He know's how to cooked coz everytime we had a celebration he asked me to teaches him and now he knows some recipes for our celebration.Last night ,we already prepared the ingredients we need.He always asked me what's the next tita,where did I put this .I am glad that this boy ay hindi maarte ,actually siya yung katuwang ko everytime we had a celebration.

My brother in law was assigned to cooked the lechon together with his friends.

When we are about to have our lunch our nieghbor came withsome dessert which Bryan's mother ordered.

Our visitors was our neighbor only ,mahirap na kung sino sino lang yung bisita .And hindi naman din masyadong marami handa kaya mga kapitbahay lang namin and some of their relatives which we are living in the same barangay.

This is the part one of our celebration coz we are planning to have a part two for tomorrow.

Before I end this blog I just want to say Congratulations to all who passed the board exam especially to Engr. Jade Bryan our nephew and for who did'nt passed ,don't lose hope ,there will be another exam .Trust your self ,and Trust God above all coz there is no imposible to him
