This pandemic changes a lot of things in the world.People find ways how they made themselves not to be bored during quarantine days.Most woman are they choose to plant flowers and vegetables ,aside that it make your home more prettier it is also their /our stress reliever.
I was already a plant lover even before the pandemic ,but i was stop planting and take care of them when i was pregnant of my second baby ,that time i don't like flowers and too lazy doing household chores .Most of my plants that time are died.After i gave birth to my 2nd baby and the pandemic started,i was started collecting plants again.I had many plants but only few them , I know the names.So i start with my Lucky bamboo plant.
Lucky bamboo plant
Dracaena Sanderiana other names are chinese water bamboo , friendship bamboo ,Ribbon plant and Water bamboo.
This plants resembles bamboo but its not a true bamboo at all.The stem of this plant is like a bamboo if the leaves are remove.It is grown as a house plant outside of the tropical zone.The stems are often trained into variety of shapes and it is popular with Feng sui.You can plant it in two ways ,you can plant with soil ,and in water only.I bought this for plant for 70 pesos from my highschool classmates .They said that the luck will depends on how many stem you planted .
Alocasia Black velvet(Alocasia reginula or litle queen)
It is exotic an elegant with silver veins that shines against the broad of leaf dark velvety back ground.This plant don't like to expose too much sunlight and don't like to much water .One thing i found it very interesting is,if this plant had much water ,the exist water will falls down to the end of the leaf.My mother in law gave it to me ,its the baby plant of her mother black velvet.
Calladium white christmas
Calladium white christmas or Angel wings is a tuberous perennial with lush,heart shaped,silvery white leaves and adorned with striking dark green veins and edges.Don't allow the soils to dry out .I bought this from our neighbor for only 20 pesos.
Pink calladium
There are many types of calladium but i only have this two types the pink caladium and the white christmas above .The fully grown pink caladium recieving enough sunlight will be bright pink and outlined with darker pink color which makes this super attractive.I bought this from our neighbor for only 50 pesos.
Prayer plant (calathea ornata)
It is species of perennial plant in the family known as the prayer plants.It is native to south america and is cultivated in temperate countries as a plant.It is also called Calathea Pinstripe.
It is a beautiful plant with pink stripes on its green large leaves .This plant is from my mother in law.
Zz plant
Zamioculas zamiifolia or zz plant is tropical perennial native in Eastern African and its now popular in our country.
They said it is a lucky plant ,they put some ribbon on it .But they said that this is a poisonous plant that's why i put it in the higher area were my kids can't reach.Our neighbor gave me this plant coz they have plenty of this .
Manaol
Sounds like sana ol hahah just kidding!.
Manaol or Birds Nest Fern.It can survive either as an epiphyte or terrestrial plant,but typically grows on organic matter.We found it in the roots part of a coconut tree.During the pandemic ,this kind of plant was expensive ,we heard it cost 500 pesos. I and my mother in law went to the coconut farm near or house to look for this plant ,gladly we found two pieces of it but we didn't sell it ,coz it is a nice plant.
Snake plant
Dracaena trifasciata is a species of a flowering plants in the family of Asparagaceae .It is very a common plant in our country .The best part of the house you should have to put this plant is in the bedroom ,coz it cleans the air and make you comfortable in sleeping.This plant can survive with out water for a ling time.
Golden pothos
Epipremnum aureum is a species in the arum family of Araceae,native to to mo'orea in the society island of French Polynesia.It has an attractive wine with the heart shaped leaves that tolerates the low light and minimal.
Are pothos poisonous?Yes ! Pothos plants are poisonous if ingested it can irritant to the skin if touched.I put this plant in the higher area coz i have kids .I bought this from my neighbor for only 50pesos.
Queen of the night or Arwaka
It is a species of cactus ,it bloom only at night and its flower wilt before dawn.It called queen of the night coz it only bloom at night ,it has a very lovely flower.They said that there are fairies living in this plant ,and when it bloom you can make a wish .I don't know if its true ,i didn't make a wisk pa hehhe ,if ever its true ,im gonna wish that ,we will earn more ,more bch in this platform hihihi ,all of us here will be successful.
Any way ,it was featured in television ,in KMJS and it said that this plant cost a million ,we are very excited that time ,and we watch until the show was finished ,coz if its happens that its true,that this plant cost a million ,then ,we will be a millionaire if we sell this hahahahha . Even we are too sleepy that time ,we finished watch the show and sad to say that it is only 300 pesos in our market hahahhaha.
