Weapon
Not all woman needed saving. War eras are nightmares the whole world wants to forget. Every story embraces ones misery, affliction, and oppression. During Japanese occupation in the Philippines, inhumane treatments to Filipinos are evident. The immense number of people who died during this time is distressing. Filipinos experienced difficulty of coping and surviving thus shaking their cultural identity. There are also women who became sex slaves of Japanese army often called as comfort women. `“War was our marriage, and the guerillas our son”- Valeria Panlilio` Our independence was obtained not solely by the effort and bravery of men- women took part in the revolution with varying methods. It is common that a lady knows how to cook, clean, and tend wounds, but feeding and tending wounds of revolutionaries in great number is a different story. Aside from common chores, women become spies who walk through enemy’s chamber in pursuit of information that will help them. While men continue to fight the war, keeping the economy thriving through agriculture becomes women’s responsibility. Some also acts as writers, journalist, and educator who handled reports, letters, and propaganda materials. They also give advice regarding the decision making of the guerilla. While some women used pen, words, and capability to lead as weapon, others risk their lives in combat. They also engaged themselves in a lot of men’s work to provide their family’s needs. Women are fragile and less strong when it comes to physical attributes, but the fire in their hearts shouting for freedom became their greatest weapon to break the chains of the oppressor. We all really should be thankful for all the things that women have done for our lives and for their sacrifices. Thanks for mentioning, by the way. 🙂

I think women were underestimated by many men but they've done lot more good & great things in the world
Yes, good thing that opportunities are now presented equally compared before, but i won't say a hundred percent.
Yes, completely agree. There's still a very long way to change the mindset of many men.
Well, women are a lot more powerful than men. They can do things also that men can do. They're strong willed person.
Thank you for appreciating both the article and the subject ot contains. I'll say that men are strong so as women😊
Through out our history women has many sacrifice which we forgot and were not written in history. We should also uphold their sacrifices too..
Writing articles about them will help preserve and remember the sacrifices they've done for us to enjoy today's freedom😊
Yes!
Where are you from?
I sometimes wonder where do women get the reserve of energy they show, especially during trying times. Less i forget, women are first selfless, secondly, bold and real, the third.
Thank you for appreciating my work and the content being describe😊

I'm happy my article is informative thank you for reading it😊
You're welcome 💕
I remembered reading that there were a lot of female generals in the army fighting in the revolution, both American and the Japanese. But seriously, the stereotypes are pretty absurd. Women are capable of fighting as much as men.
Yes, women can fight and lead the guerillas as great as men can do. It's really absurd to take women so lightly
I love this Article <3
Thank you for reading and I'm glad you liked it🤗
Women are strong indeed.
Yess girl power!
Women have been strong mentally always but the opportunity was not there in the past, the 20th century has seen a sea change in the attitude of women. Now the attitude of men has also changed towards women. Now at least in the cities women are treated at par with men. In the villages things need to improve more. Education will bring that. @Ashma
