How long does a feeling last?

How long could a feeling last towards to another person? Is it like a dust that vanishes in a thin air? Or it it beautiful flower that suddenly withers? Or can be a moon that always there even if we can't see it.

Sometime we always wonder how we stop thinking and not feeling anymore. How the pain and love suddenly vanishes like it never existed. Like looking to distant memory, unable to recover what you see, hear and remember at the moment.

As we look to the person we invested our feelings in. The happy sensations you once felt are slowly dripping away like a sand in your hand. The pain can be resurfaced but only a little as you recall the memories you had. Then the only left will be indifference, not having the energy to care is somehow frightening than a raging anger bottled inside.

How long does a feeling last?

How long could you hold onto your feelings? Like a moon that always there even if no one sees it? Like waves that continuesly touch the shore? Or like a rotation of the earth around the sun? No expiration, timeless and boundless

A feeling that last even if that person is not here anymore. A feeling that so strong, deep, hard and uncontrollable. Having to hold yourself firmly against the gravity but you still fall endlessly, continuesly and completely. A feeling like a raging fire. Starts into small lit then afterwards it will spread all over your body unable to stop anymore.

How long a feeling last? It depends upon each individual and the degree of what he feels. If a man still recall the memories of the past and got no replacement to divert his attention surely his feelings will remain fresh. It is like losing a pet. Replacing another pet will make you forget the lost one, not automatically but slowly and surely.

Yaah agreee. Depends upon the intensity of the feeling towards to another person. Recalling memories can resurface the feelings that buried deep within and Replacing another memories to start new and fill the emptiness inside❤️ Thanks for your thoughtssss💜💜

The challenge is that we are wired to create the very stories that keep emotions alive. And the longer we’ve been telling ourselves a certain story, the harder it is to “just let it go.” On top of that, we’re wired with a negativity bias (as some say, our brains are “teflon for positive experiences and velcro for negative”). From an evolutionary perspective, it’s one of the things that kept our ancestors alive, and it still serves to alert us to threats. Yet these days, the ‘threat’ is often just to our ego, to our sense of separation.
