Okay, before diving more profound with this given topic we are talking about today, let me remind you of its importance through this chant:
Insert brush, brush, brush 3x a day chant.
Wash, wash, wash 2x a day
Wash, wash, wash keep acne away
Wash, wash, wash 2x a day
Wash now your face.
How was it? Pardon if it sounded corny. Believe me; I just meant to make you smile through it.
Okay, going back to the topic, how many times do you wash your face in a day?
Probably, some of you may answer once (which is when you take a bath). Some may say twice (morning and night). Some may answer more.
The answer is twice. Yes, washing your face twice a day is already good.
Some wash their face with cleansers. Some just use water, and it is already okay. They are lucky because they do not need to spend a lot to care for their face. However, wearing sunscreen is very important.
If you are using cleansers, put in mind that it is still advisable to wash twice a day and use a cleanser with a gentle formula.
If makeup is not properly removed, you may experience breakout because makeup may clog your pores. So, if you wear makeup, please wash your face in the morning gently and then cleanse also your face at night. This is to make sure that your face is clean and avoid the possible occurrence of breakout.
When we do some exercise, it is normal to sweat. When we sweat, it is important to wash our face to remove the said sweat and dirt. If you don't wash your face, especially if you sweat a lot, you increase your chance of having pimples.
If you do not wear makeup or routinely sweat and that your face is not that sensitive, you may just need a traditional splash of water to your face in the morning and night. However, if your face needs extra care and treatment, you may use products. Just remember the things you should do and you shouldn't in this article I published several days ago.
Avoid products that contain potentially irritating ingredients like fragrance or alcohol because, as mentioned, it may irritate your face. Again, remember to apply sunscreen to avoid the harmful effects of UV rays from the sun.
While properly washing our face will give us a good effect, remember that everything done in excess is no good. Huwag masyadong atat. Kikinis rin ang ating mukha!
Skincare routine is something that should not be seen as something that is not that really needed. We need to at least use sunscreen to protect our skin from the effect of the harmful uv rays of the sun. The sunscreens I have listed are just a few of those sunscreens which you may use. Before using, you should know your type of skin first. Better yet, consult first a board-certified dermatologist so that you will know what product/s is/are good for your skin.
