From my previous articles, I keep on telling that sunscreen is very helpful and important especially is you are using other skin products that contains alpha hydroxy acid (AHA). That is because it may increase the sensitivity of your skin to the sun. That is why use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure, as much as possible.

From the past days, I posted about Having oily face: What are the remedies? And The oil that makes my face emits a little extra shine. If you have not read these two articles yet, I suggest to read that articles first so that you will have an idea about the meaning and causes of oily skin.

These sunscreens that I will be discussing are good for oily and sensitive skin. But, let me just remind you that I am not an expert nor dermatologist. All these things I am telling here are just based on what I know and experienced as well as based on the things I found out through research. And also, this is not sponsored.

All these products I am going to mention are just below P500 or $10 dollars. Without further ado, let’s get started.

At number one is Belo SPF PA+++ 40

This sunscreen is:

  • Non-sticky

  • Non-comedogenic

  • Anti-aging

  • Paraben-free

This favorite local sunscreen is also a moisturizing facial sunscreen that effectively provides broad spectrum protection against the harmful UV rays. This great chemical sunscreen is available at Watsons and other stores for only P375 for 50ml. You may also look for it online such as in Lazada and Shopee, and sometimes, you may buy it on sale such as B1T1 or Buy One Take One for the same price. But check it out immediately once you see it because its stock could easily run out.

At number two is Celeteque Face and Body Sun Defense Cream

This sunscreen is:

  • SPF 50

  • Broad Spectrum UVA/ UVB Protection

  • Hypoallergenic

  • Dermatologist Tested

You may buy it for P449 at 120ml. As stated in the product, it has a light, non-greasy formulation which can be easily spread and easily absorbed by the skin. It also has Phospholipids that attract water from the surrounding air. From that, it results to an increased level of skin hydration, which is good for our skin. It smells like a normal cream and this is not overpowering. Though the cream is thick, it is not so greasy when applied. Just make sure to spread this sunscreen to your skin evenly.

At number three is Verdio UV Moisture Gel Sunscreen SPF50+

This sunscreen is good for oily and non-sensitive skin. It is a gel-type, moisturizing sunscreen specially formulated for sensitive skin as stated in its claim to fame. It is good to those who wants a fast-absorbing, lightweight, smooth, and refreshing sunscreen. And yes, it leaves a zero white cast. The price is P490.

At number four is Sunplay Kids Sunscreen Lotion SPF 60

This sunscreen is:

  • For sensitive skin. pH 5.5. Gentle formulation.

  • Hypoallergenic Tested.

  • Water resistant.

  • For face and body.

It also has Solarex-3, which is an advanced technology that provides 3-in-1 defense system. This means that it helps protect against sun damage, skin aging and dryness caused by the harmful UV rays. If you have a combination to oily type of skin, this is good for you. And yes, it also leaves zero white cast. Its current price in Shopee is P284.

At number five is Altruist Dermatologist Sunscreen SPF 50

This sunscreen has:

  • Broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection

  • Exceeds EU recommendations for UVA protection

  • Clinically tested

  • Star UVA protection

It is also be easily absorbed by the skin, non-sticky and no residue. You can use it daily for your face and body. It is available in Shopee for P450.

Final Thoughts:

Skin care routine is something that should not be seen as something that is not that really needed. We need to at least use a sunscreen to protect our skin from effect of the harmful uv rays of the sun. The sunscreens I have listed are just few of those sunscreens which you may use. Before using, you should know your type of skin first. Better yet, consult first a board-certified dermatologist so that you will know what product/s is/are good for your skin.

If you have any other suggestions, feel free to write it down below. See you again on my next article where I will be going to share a new topic.
