Beautiful Cities in the Philippines: Part 2
This series is back for its part 2. Let us now continue to devour the beauty and the authenticity of the cities in our beloved land – the Philippines.
In the first part, I showed you three cities and now let’s try to move to the northern part here in Luzon.
Baguio City
I know, everybody knows this city. This is considered the Summer Capital of the Philippines and the City of Pines. There is just something so unique in this place that feels so comfortable especially with the tall pine trees everywhere and the cold temperature that embraces you.
There are lots of places that you visit like The Mansion, a Spanish colonial building and guesthouse, Burnham Park, where you can go boating, or you can explore Camp John Hay, this used to be a recreation facility for the American soldiers in the past.
There are many other places you can visit and foods that should try like their signature strawberry taho. It’s serene and your travel will truly be worth it when you here.
Puerto Princesa City
Let’s jump to different kind of paradise. Here is Puerto Princesa!
Palawan is not an ordinary place – it’s exquisite. It is built wholly by nature and well preserved by our locals. The perfect getaway when reality drowns you. There is a UNESCO world heritage site here which is the ever famous Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park. There are many enjoyable adventures like diving, seeing the dolphins and turtles, and riding a boat going inside the massive underground river. It is discovering the grandeurs given by our Creator; a gift that we should treasure.
Additionally, with the seas around you, get ahold of your stomach for the delicious fresh sea foods that they offer. They have a lot of local and international restaurants for cuisines that you could choose from.
Tagaytay City
This city is perfect for your weekend getaways or impulsive travels. The climate is no nice and the scenery can take your breath away. You can visit the People’s Park in the Sky – it is perfect especially when you bring your whole family. You may also do sightseeing with the Taal Volcano that sitting on the Taal lake.
The best dish that you should not miss is their specialty – the bulalo or also called the beef marrow stew. The economy of this city is rising because of their tourism and also on their agricultural products such as pineapples and cacao.
Other exciting places you can go to are the Sky Ranch Tagaytay, Tagaytay Picnic Grove, Puzzle Mansion, Crosswinds, and many others.
This article cannot fit all of the things that these three cities can offer. Let us work hard so that one day, we will be able to walk around these beautiful cities that our nation has.
