Longer you hold heavier it get

Hello everyone, sorry for not attending to your article on Time.

23/01/22

Stress can be fatal. Some people perform better under duress or strain (the negative being that they can postpone) or when deadlines are approaching. Some stress is tolerable and even enjoyable, such as the stress of playing a round of golf and the possibility of sinking a birdie putt.

Other types of stress, such as the stress of intense conflict, family crisis, financial uncertainty, going through a divorce, or the death of a loved one, to name a few, can be extremely debilitating. Unhealthy stress has a variety of harmful outcomes, including depression, anxiety, high blood pressure, heart problems, and more.

How Much Does Stress Weigh?

When demonstrating stress management to an audience, a speaker held out a glass of water and said, "How heavy is this glass of water?"

The weights of the answers ranged from 20 to 500 grams. "The absolute weight doesn't matter," the instructor said. It all depends on how long you hold it."

"It's not a problem if I hold it for a minute." I'll have a discomfort in my right arm if I hold it for an hour. You'll have to call an ambulance if I keep it for a day. It's the same weight in each situation, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." He went on to say, "It's the same approach with stress management."

If we carry our loads all of the time, we will eventually be unable to continue as the burden grows heavier. You must set it down for a time and rest before picking it up again, just like you would with a glass of water. We'll be able to continue with the responsibility once we've rested."

"So, before you go to bed tonight, put your work worries aside. Don't bring it home with you. You can pick it up the next day. If you can, let go of any troubles you're bearing right now. Relax; you may pick them up later after you've had a chance to rest. Life is a finite resource. "Enjoy yourself!" Then he gave some advice on how to deal with life's challenges:

Accept that you are the pigeon on some days and the statue on others.

Just in case you have to eat your words, keep them smooth and sweet.

Drive with caution. It's not just cars that are subject to manufacturer recalls.

If you can't be nice, at the very least be vague.

It was probably worth it if you lent someone $20 and never saw them again.

It makes no difference if you can't dance well. Simply stand up and dance.

Sleep late on occasion since the early worm is taken by the bird.

You're in the wrong lane when everything is coming at you.

You may be only one person in the world, but to one person, you may be the entire world.

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all live in the same box.

Final Thoughts

Stress is difficult, especially when it's in the Church family, as I know from personal experience. It is crucial for each of us to have a sense of humour, have friends we can trust, and to take God seriously but not ourselves.

Find time to rest and replenish, as the author of the article above wisely advises. If you allow yourself to be crushed by holding on to stress for too long, you are no good to yourself, your family, or your church.

"You have six days each week for your ordinary job," Exodus 23:12 says, "but you must stop working on the seventh day." This allows your ox and donkey to take a break. It also enables your slaves and foreigners to work for you.

With all of life's pressures, our adversary Satan knows how to keep us agitated. There was a period when all stores were closed on Sunday so that people may go to God's house (Church) and spend time with their families while also resting.

Another reality we must apply to our lives is to set aside one day per week to simply relax and unwind from the stresses of daily life. Why should we not rest on the seventh day, as God did when he created the world? 2:2–3:2–3:2–3:2–3:2–3 "God had completed the work he had been performing by the seventh day, so he rested from all his work on the seventh day. 3 The seventh was then blessed by God.

No matter what your circumstances are, make it a habit to spend one day a week completely resting in our Lord. Take time to "smell the roses" and enjoy time with our Savior, resting in His grace, mercy, compassion, and how much He loves you at least one day a week to give our bodies a break from stress.

We've got a lot of burdens and things to pursue. A lot of stress. But then you're going to bed, try sleep with zero worries.

Our hearts get ruined with every burden we put in it. So we should learn to let go, to keep it clean.
