Inviting Is Not My Thing

Those are some common lines you will hear from sales people when you try to enter a market place. These are simple marketing strategies to attract customers.  Some would do dance moves or wear props and dresses that will surely gather audience.

Have you tried selling goods and products that would require inviting people? Are you good at selling? Do you belong to a sales group right now or in some marketing department?

Honestly I am not good at selling as a business. My customer relation level is very low. I am not that charismatic type of person or sort of persuading someone to buy a product. In short I am a shy type of person and don’t have guts to do like most sellers do.

Charge to experience

Five years ago I tried to engage in MLM. For sure most of you are aware of this type of business. Multi level marketing, network marketing, pyramid marketing or commonly known as networking. In other words, it was a “SCAM”. Yes I was scammed.

I have mentioned my bad experiences in some of my previous posts about this “too good to be true” and with some opportunistic people who can do nothing but to tell lies. I think I was scammed thrice and tried to invite too thinking that I would be like those people at the top. The funny thing is there were no tangible products but sweet words and seemingly feasible video presentations. Some would present a motivational video, of course they would find real life situations that can be really inspiring.

I try to do the same exact thing as they do or do the same strategies as they always mention, but then my friends start to keep their distance. There are friends who will listen or even join under my umbrella but in the end they lose interest because they don’t see good results. I have had a really bad experience about inviting people in that type of business. Or should I say scamming people? Charge to experience. 

When I joined read.cash a few months ago, I learned that this platform has an affiliate program. This type of passive earning is no longer new to me because I also do some research about Affiliate Marketing which is real but needs a lot of time and devotion.  It means that you can get commission if you have sold a product by any means whether direct selling or affiliate links. In fact I have joined a site where I can generate links to product and promote it as an affiliate link. Shopee and Lazada are only few of them (no promotional connotation). I am earning small amount though considering it as a side hustle only. Just like this platform.

I promise myself that I will no longer invite people telling them about read.cash, for example that you can earn money here by writing original content. Even if I wanted to share this great opportunity, I still prevented myself from the so-called Bitcoin Cash awareness. I may have sounded selfish with that but you can’t blame me for I don’t want to be embarrassed again by inviting people to what seems too good to be true for them. However I am sharing my post to my other social media platform with no words like earning money or something. You may have noticed that when you share the link to your content on another platform, that is already an invite link that says about earning money for participation. So it’s kind of redundant if you will still say something like that when you share your read.cash post to another site or social media platform. Affiliate links already do the talking.

Nevertheless I still invited few friends to join this community but I am not after the commission. In fact they did sign up directly to read.cash but not under me. I just wanted to help them during this time of crisis because the pandemic had hit them so hard that they literally starved.

Writing is not their passion but I tried to motivate them saying like I have bought a smartphone out of read.cash BCH. They were amazed and started writing their own story. I was their proofreader. However if writing is really not your thing you will lose out of topics to write easily. And that was the hard part until they stopped writing after a month.

So, until today I haven't invited friends or colleagues to write for this platform. I told them that I have a side hustle that pays a decent amount of money in terms of Bitcoin Cash. They were amazed. In fact last month I set a small gathering for lunch out and pledged that I will treat them. So it did come to materialize and I told them about read.cash while we were happily eating. That was the first time that we saw each other again after one year of pandemic. But I didn't invite them and no one dared to ask to join. They just can’t say a thing but to thank me that I paid half of the bill from BCH earned during our lunch out. I know for sure that writing is not really their passion.
