A series that has impacted the world is Stranger Things with its unforgettable fourth season, which is based on the 80s and has been the most awaited by the public for 3 years. It had a very shocking ending, because it connects all the mythology of the Netflix series since season one, thus trapping the audience immediately.
It is important to highlight what the series as such is based on from the beginning before continuing. Well, the story begins in the year 1983, when a 12-year-old boy named Will Byers mysteriously disappears. This fact uncovers the strange events occurring in the area, which were the product of a series of experiments conducted by the government in a nearby scientific laboratory. Not to mention the appearance of disturbing supernatural forces, as well as a very strange girl named Eleven. She, along with Will's friends, will be in charge of looking for him, without imagining what they will have to face to find him. Inadvertently, they created a portal to an alternate dimension called "Upside Down". However, the influence of the Other Side begins to affect the unknowing residents of Hawkins in a calamitous way.
The second season was based a year later what happened, in which Will has been rescued. However, when it is discovered that Will is still being influenced by entities from the Other Side, his friends and family discover that there is an even greater threat to their universe from the Other Side.
The third season is set 6 months after what happened in the previous season, starting the summer in Hawkins, where everything flourishes including romances, but danger has returned to haunt the city, which is threatened by old and new enemies, so Eleven and his friends remember that evil never ends, but evolves. Now they will have to team up to survive and remember that their friendship will always be stronger than fear.
Now, after this great season due to the pandemic, the series was delayed for 3 years, so they have made the fans wait for a long time, but they are still excited as the first day. For this reason, recently the fourth season has been released, which was divided into two volumes and I must admit that it impressed all the old and new fans.
This season is the darkest of all, where the deaths of iconic characters have moved the audience. This is because the other side is now a hellish territory where there are not only demogorgons, anatomically incorrect, but diabolical figures that alter the consciousness, entering another terrain different from the creature feature that had been deployed so far. Being one of the pyramids to face Eleven's past and everything that happened in the laboratory of Hawkins, building chapter by chapter a crescendo that has its reward in a masterful ending, turning the season into a direct answer and answering all the questions that the fandom has had for years.
The series has left us with an exquisite open ending wishing for the next and final season to premiere as soon as possible. It's very likely to premiere in 2024!
What sets this great series apart from the others is that it has been inspired by a conspiracy theory known as "The Montauk Project", a secret experiment conducted by the U.S. government. In fact its name would be Montauk, but the producers decided to change the location and center the action in Hawkins, Indiana.
I must admit that it is a series that has caused a lot of emotions together with really awesome scenes and music that will stay in your head for much longer. How amazing is Stranger Things!
