"Cherry Jack"

Once again, I would like to address the issue of "scary vacations". Good morning, dear wonderful people who read.cash! Today is the thirty-first of October and the end of the second month of autumn, and for some reason it has become very foggy this year.

Halloween, one of the favorite holidays of American children. Although it has recently arrived in Ukraine. Halloween is becoming more and more popular: in many stores there are special Halloween items, and people like to wear their Halloween costumes.The Christian church celebrates All Saints' Day (I am a Christian). On Halloween, children go door to door to trick-or-treat, just like the trick-or-treaters in our country. They wear different costumes.Armed with pumpkins and lanterns, they go to neighbors and strangers who give them candy and fruit so that children don't make fun of them.

One of the most spectacular Christmas traditions is the carving of pumpkins.

An old Irish legend says that jack-o'-lanterns were named after a man named Jack. In life, he was gullible and stingy. He could not go to heaven because he was a friend of the devil and played tricks on them. As a result, Jack had to walk through traffic lights until the day of his trial.One of the activities on Halloween is, of course, fortune telling. This fortune telling is similar to that which is performed on Christmas Eve.

For example, a coin, a ring and a thimble are baked into a cake. The one who found the ring in the dish was considered to be about to get married or married. The one who found the coin was sure to become rich. A thimble, on the other hand, meant that one was unlucky - in this case it meant that one was permanently penniless and did not find love, in short, a thimble meant a joke of the spirits.Nowadays, few people believe in the existence of these evil spirits, but Halloween celebrations have become a tradition and are considered fun. There are several scary stories that are told especially on the night of October 31.

But I don't want to tell you another horror story, I've already read several here, and then I can't sleep well because I don't believe in post-mainstream people and don't want to be disturbed by "them". Well, after a little digression, of course I want to address the topic of Christmas recipes.

I call my pie "Cherry Jack".

It is made from very simple ingredients.Children will be delighted with such a pie)))! Who loves stuffing with cherries and shortbread dough make sure you make it.

INGREDIENTS:

Flour-360 grams.

Eggs-(egg yolk to cover the top of the cake).

Cold water -40-60 ml Butter -200g.

Filling

Cherries- 500 gr Starch- 1 tbsp water 2 tbsp

Very easy process:

Grate frozen butter, add salt and sugar.

And also water.Knead a homogeneous shortbread dough.

Pour cherry jam (you can take frozen cherries) into a saucepan, meanwhile, dissolve a spoonful of starch in a glass of water and pour it into our jam

Cook over low heat until it thickens.

We divide our dough into two parts; roll out one part and lay it out on our deco (baking dish); prick it with a fork.

And on this dough we put our filling.

Roll out the second part and cut out the face of our "Jack

Use this part to cover our filling and brush it with whipped egg yolk.

We put our "Jack" in the oven 👻 ha-ha-ha (evil laughter) for 180° for 40 minutes.

"You're going to be our breakfast!!!!"-whispered from the next room...
