To the Mountains or To The Sea?
Heya!
How's life lately? I can't yet regain my focus after that shocking event in Hive. It's not just me but all of us in the Filipino Community and for some people in Hive who knows her. It's saddened all of us, but we also need to continue our lives while helping the family as much as we can. I'm just looking for prompts in Pinterest now, so I could have something to write without pushing myself too much.
So, here's what I have found. A questions asking if I would rather have a trip to the mountains or to the sea. Sounds tricky since I like both but I only have to choose one. Which one, really? Hmmmm?
To the mountains or to the sea?
If I have to choose now, that would be to the mountains. I'm not the type who loves to swim in a salty water but rather who will only sit in the sand at the shore and look at the waves since it sounds are soothing. I'm not fun to be with if you will have a trip with me to the sea. I don't like surfing, boating, or just stomp my feet at the salty water. I know how to swim but I don't really like its salty waters.
However, if you come with me to the mountains, I'll surely be the most energetic of all. I wouldn't mind the walk, the hike, the heat of the sun, or the coldness inside the forest. Perhaps, it's because I was born on the countryside wherein mountains greet me every day on a distance. Where the sun rises on the eastern part and it should climb the mountains first before it can shine.
I'm more into highland resorts than beach resorts, actually. Here in Negros Occidental, I have been to Campuestuhan Highland Resort for 6 times already, once at Mambukal Resort, and once at Canlaon City, but I can't share any pictures of me because I don't like taking pictures back then. The memories just etched to my brain and will forever be treasured.

The other parts in the mountains that I want to go next is the Don Salvador Benedicto and in Candoni. These places are still on my bucket list and when I have the budget, I'll probably go even if I'm alone. They said that there are a lot of cafes there at Don Salvador and I want to try some highlands coffee and delicacies. In Candoni, I just want to visit my relatives that I haven't seen for years now.
It's fun to be in the mountains; you get to experience the abnormal weathers. For now it would be sunny, a little while later it would rain while it's sunny, then a rainbow would appear. The cycle just goes on and on for the whole day. I don't know but it is also super cold at there and I love that. It feels refreshing to me.
Things to see in the mountains
It's not just about its forests and it highest peaks but also the beauty snd the paradise that lies within.

Falls. If I only tried to climb the Mambukal area where all of the 7 falls are located, I could see one but I haven't tried. Hotsprings. This one is what I love the most. I'm always to comeback to the hotsprings. Plants and animals. Flowers and fruits grow better in a cooler place and I often see it here that way. There are also animals that you can only see in that place like the monkeys, leopard cats, asian-palm civets, etcetera.
Mountains has a lot to offer as much as the sea. It is just where you want to prefer it to be.
