A Weekend That Just Feels Like Any Other Day.
Heyaa, readers? How's your weekend?
Mine just feels like it only lasted for few hours and unexpectedly, it's now Monday. If I could only just stretch the day longer to fit all of my activities but my body is already giving up. As much as I wanted to do more things, I have been dozing off in my seat that I wasn't even aware of. No other choice but call the night off and have some rest to grind again the next day.
One of the causes that is draining me this weekend instead of having a good rest was our NSTP subject. We are required to go to school before the call time of 7:15 am. I'm just 20 minutes away at most, if there's a traffic jam, from the school but I have to ride two jeepneys of different routes just to get there. Looking at how early it is, there are only few jeepneys passing by at that hour, so chances of catching a ride are less.
I set my alarm clock to 4 am and hopefully, I had heard that and got up immediately. Last time, I didn't heard it and missed my alarm. Good thing, I still have waken up a little late than that but still have given me a short time to prepare myself. It almost got me there, but luckily I have caught a ride before the clock hits 7 am and on a faster speed since there are only few cars on the road. I didn't came late but I haven't eaten my breakfast. Just imagine standing in the formation for hours under the heat of the sun, and listening to discussions until noon with an empty stomach. I'm so out of focus and have no energy to deal with all of things we did.
This time, I surely tried my best to wake up early just so I could eat my breakfast first before leaving. The subject lasted for 4 hours but as expected in a subject where service is required from us, it was full of activities that mandates us to move. After doing all of the drills that was instructed to us, the hours of pure lecture goes in. We were all both mentally and physically exhausted after that.
We went to a cafe to eat, rest, and refresh in the lead of one of my classmates. Then he leads us here,
and there he was at the door, pointing upwards to where the cafe is. Awesome, it's on the rooftop.
Unexpectedly, that shabby building has a gem inside and where the aesthetic setup resides.
Such a cozy and comfortable place, and has an amazing view of the mountains in the distance. It's windy from above there. It's like whispering in my ears to lull me to sleep. I have forgotten how exhausted we were from the mood that the cafe gave us and from the laughters of my companions. It's just a shame that we couldn't stay longer. Going home after that, I just slumped my body off to my bed and fell into a deep sleep just hours after. I guess, that's how tired I was and woke up knowing that it was already morning.
Sunday is still like any other day. I still have to study the topics that we would be discussing in class and do my side hustles after that. The hours felt like minutes that was passing by in the blink of an eye. If only sleep isn't a need for our body, I wouldn't do it. Yet, compromising my health isn't written on my to-do list. I slept for 4 hours straight luckily before preparing myself for the online class. It's now Monday again, back to the usual exertion of efforts to get exhausted at the end of the day, then repeating that for the whole week.
