Continuation...
After he successfully passed the two trees that yielded him a way in, a miraculous moment that he's been waiting for has come.
Unexpectedly, amidst of the darkness and deafening silence, a troupe of shrimps lively jumping over the shallow water! the shrimps were like having a festival! There are too many of them and for sure his net will be filled with shrimps. He was so happy on that moment putting him on a state of losing all of the fear that he felt back there. He then exclaimed, oh! How fortunate! how come this stupid shrimps appeared just now.
After catching the shrimps he immediately look out for a land to put the shrimps he had caught straight into his bucket. The festival of shrimps is still on going! jumping here, jumping there, jumping everywhere! When my grandfather activated his kerosene lamp, suddenly, all of the place turned out into a quite place again, feels like you're alone in your classroom at 11:30pm without anyone around. Try to imagine it.
ILLUSION
The festival of shrimps is gone, all of the jumping shrimps disappeared and the swamp turns back without living creatures. When he looked at his net, he was so shocked and got goosebumps all over his body that moment, because all of the things that he saw was just only an illusion. There are only 3 shrimps that entered his net, and it seems so impossible. He never tried to be manipulated such, ever since in his life. He never yelled but his hands and feet are uncontrollably shaking in fear. Seems like there are ghosts toying with him.
Along all the disturbing moment that he had faced, he did not lose hope, he might be scared but he still have the courage to move through the last part of the swamp. He picked up his net and said, this is the last part of the swamp and it is a bit deeper, but it won't stop me at all. Unhesitatingly, he used his net like a shovel, getting all the dirt and mud into his net premises and dashed forward until to the very end of the swamp.
Luckily, he wasn't wounded and finally he found what he's been looking for. A colony of shrimp gets into his net, enough to fill up his bucket. He said in a soft voice, now I know why you keep on scaring and luring me from the start, it is because this is where these shrimp lives.
When he's finally done, he immediately gets out of the water and walked out into the land. It is still dark, and he is about to pass through the creepy old cemetery again. As he moves forward, there is something ahead of him, his trials hasn't ended at the waters. A two red fiery eyes appeared gazing straight unto him, enhanced by the reflection of his fire lamp. It has horns and it really looks like a devil, he was so frightened and in a few seconds of staring at the devil, he found out that it was just a only a carabao. He, mumbled, who the heck leashed this carabao in the middle of the cemetery, oh crap. However, his fearful heart cools down immediately and quickly leave the creepy place.
