Hey dear readers, how's your day? Honestly, if you'll gonna ask me that question, well I'm doing fine, yet my day was kinda a lil bit boring. Now, I have just taken a 1 hour nap just to loosen up a bit. Now, I'm ready to catch up!
On top of that, this article of mine was just a handful of realizations and thoughts that I have learned during our sunday service wherein our Pastor's sermon tackles about The Christian's Faith race.
The RACE that I am talking about today is not what you think and commonly saw in an olympic games but to tell you the truth this race is the most important race of all. Why? you'll find out after reading this.
Ever since we accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as our personal saviour, our race as a Christian started already. Just like in an olympian race, delegates seems doing well at first, exerting their energies ready to boost up their speed, well it goes in Christian's race too after a fresh encounter with God we tend to be so fired up and overwhelmingly motivated to glorify Him in everything we do, but time goes by we can't deny the fact that the fire within our hearts was gradually losing its warmth, what a sad reality.
However, let us focus on how can we win the race.
β WE MUST LOOK AROUND US
In an arena there is a crowd of witnesses or spectators and you as a runner/athlete became the center-of-attention. It is very important to consider your surroundings, and take a look on those people fixating their eyes on you. Some of them we're counting and rooting on your success and cheered up on you, the rest of them might be observing and waiting for you to fail on your journey, that is why we should be careful because there is a possibility that those individual's focusing on us are no longer blessed on how we ran the race of life another good reason for that was a huge tendency that those onlookers will enter the Race of Faith because they are being inspired and galvanized to follow the same path as yours.
βWE MUST LOOK WITHIN US
The ultimate goal of a runner is to take a step that leads to victory. Now, how can you be able to win if you don't even do such a self-meditation and reflection on your own. Have you seen a runner who carries bag during the race?, Well in the life of a Christian we should be mindful that in order for us to move forward so that we could reach the top is to leave and get rid of extra luggages we used to carry in the race of life that slows us down.
Now what are those heavy baggages that we should set aside?
Past
Resentments
Unforgiveness
Pride
Sin
Toxic Relationships
Pain/grief, etc
Lay aside anything that dulls your interest in God. Lay aside anything that keeps you from reading the Bible. Lay aside anything that keeps you out of church. Lastly, lay aside anything that harm your testimony because a good life testimony can be our great asset to release blessings and could induce the unbelievers to follow Jesus.
βWE MUST LOOK UNTO JESUS
Focus on Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith, not to anybody due to the reason that those people you look into would be the major reasons of your failure. Jesus is our perfect example, following her steps could be the best way for us to endure the battles and challenges in this cruel world.
Closing Thoughts;
This race of faith devalues the concept of winning and losing, and even if you're being trampled on the ground, the show must go on, as long as you persevere and manage to reach the finish line, because we only have one stop, and that is to serve God at the very end of our lives and hear Him say;
"WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT."
Thanks for dropping by, I hope you're doing fine today. God bless us all.π
