"It's okay not to be OKAY."
A typical proverb we usually say when we are having a bad day or dull moments
We should allow ourselves not to feel ok sometimes it might be a sort of disappointments, resentments, failures, etc. We must not try to avoid, suppress, or ignore those feelings, because it will only get worse and leave you overwhelmed and will be hard to cope.
Expressing your emotions transparently is never a bad thing, and if you're not okay, it's okay to say so.
It's okay to....
Ask for help
Unfastened your unconventional approach to life and try to lower your pride. Admit it or not, there are some things we cannot do alone. If you are feeling preoccupied with pressure and stress, why not ask someone's assistance and wake up from the reality that you can't handle such things by your own. In the contrary, if you would tell me a lame reason, such as "I dont have any one to call on for help", Oh come on! Have you ever forgotten about God? Why not turn all your burdens and worries into prayers instead, and acknowledge that without Him you can do nothing. Remember, being too independent is unhealthy.
Take a break
Find a place to unwind, have days off, take a nap and forget all those deadlines and unending work loads. Its okay to pause for a moment and be selfish when it comes to rest. “Taking breaks allows your brain and body to get the necessary recharge it needs to keep going,” says Brittany Johnson, a licensed mental health counselor. Keeping up the grind may seem fruitful, but it can negatively impact your long-term performance and mental health as well. So feel free to take a break and consider your health as your first priority.
Have Bad days
Let us normalize the thought of having bad days. We are humans hello ? We have emotions just so you know, unless you are an alien just kidding! If you feel like your not in your mood just let it be. We all have unprovoked bad days, and they are almost mandatory! Oftentimes, it is outrageously out of our control, yet just take it easy and just learn how to master your own emotions. However, these bad days are golden opportunities for us to build and find strengths from it.
Say No.
Practice giving a firm, "No" to someone in a polite and delicate manner. Many people are anxious about saying "No" and may say "Yes" due to uneasiness and fear of being judged. We have this common mindset that every time we do this, we would disappoint someone, make them mad, hurt their feelings, or appear mean or rude. We have this in our mind that having people think negatively of ourselves is the major reason why we preferred to say yes even if our own will contradicts to it. So you see, not all "No's" means rejection it is just an expression of honesty, its true that we are used to saying yes to please others but it can be harmful not to be more conscious and aware of it, because some people will abuse your kindness and you'll gonna regret it for the rest of your life. So chin up, people might say something bad about you for refusing their favors or request, yet it doesn't define who you are anyway.
Be yourself
Live your own life. Be who you wanted to be, God gave us the freedom to chose our own path and lifestyle. Don't let those judgments bring you down and just embrace your own belief of your self as long as you don't step on others to get ahead in life. It's okay to be the best version of your self keep that in mind.
