Eid is the most important festival of the Muslim community. Every year we have two Eids namely Eid-Ul-Fitr and Eid-Ul-Azha. After the month of “Ramadan” comes the Eid-Ul-Fitr. As we have two fast by day during the month of Ramadan, the Eid-Ul-Fitr brings a great joy to us. We observe Eid-Ul-Azha on 10th “Jilhaj” to pay homage to Hazrat Ibrahim (al) who was about to kill his dearest son for the satisfaction of Allah. On the Eid day the Muslims-poor and rich, young and old, all go to Eidgah to attend the Zamat. After finishing the Zamat, all embrace with each other. On this day, everybody forgets all the anger, all the enmity. Different types of delicious foods are cooked in every house. People go to each other’s house and share the joys. Thus, the two Eids establish the equality and fraternity in Muslim Community. They are, no doubt, the messenger of love, forgiveness and brotherhood.
Eid is one of the biggest festivals for our Muslim brothers. It is a day when everyone performs Eid prayers together and goes home to eat and drink with everyone.
