Spicy Lamb Burgers
1 or 1/2 fresh red hot pepper sliced
1/2 onion sliced
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1 tablespoon dried basil
3/4 cup bread crumbs
3 tablespoons BBQ sauce (or ketchup)
2 tablespoons red hot sauce
salt and black pepper to taste
1 lb ground lamb meat
Place 1/2 cup of water in the blender, then add the first 7 ingredients and blend until smooth
Mix the spice mixture with the lamb meat then add the second 4 ingredients and mix well
Form into patties (1/2 cup each burger)
Cook on covered on preheated grill until the burgers are cooked to your desired turning once, until no longer pink inside about 15 to 20 minutes or (digital thermometer inserted sideways into center reads 170°F (77°C).
