Why do Onion prices drastically increases in the Philippines? Hi there readers, I know that most of you especially people who are currently residing in the Philippines have this common ranting about the overwhelming increase in the market price of onions, right? In fact, most of our social media platforms today have been bombarded with hundreds of memes pertaining to this issue. Well, we can't blame the consumers because as we all know onions are one of the usual ingredients we use in our daily cuisine, and admit it or not, there are only a few remedies or substitute for these typical ingredients. However, this is not the first time it happens, in fact, it happens every year round and it can also happen to other products or goods most especially when the market supply, demand, importation, and exportation fluctuates not to mention other trade barriers that might add to the costs and prices of the product, of course, I know that not all of us can understand this scenario and the jargons mentioned above. Therefore this article means to elaborate and explains to you how and why a certain product or goods drastically increases in price. *Note: "The following explanation are based on the author's knowledge accumulated during his long years of study in the field of commerce where basic to average economic understanding is being taught"* So, let's get to the point, most of you already have an idea of the law of supply and demand, at least I hope so. Here is what might have occurred and resulted in the problem we are facing; **There has been a shortage in supply:** remember the basic foundation of supply and demand in relation to the product's price, if a shortage in supply occurred but the demand remains the same or probably increases because as we all know it's Christmas season, then the prices will surely rise up. So, why did we experience a shortage? There are drivers for this situation such as the season, yes, there has been a shortage in supply because it's not yet the best harvest season for onions, another thing is the transportation costs, spoilage costs, and other direct costs which in turn affect the price of the product in the market. **Minimal to non-substitute products:** as the phrase suggests, there are only a few or perhaps no other substitutes for the products to fill in the shortage, so, if there is no substitute product then the price will go up. **Intermediaries:** Yes, intermediaries might also affect the sudden rise in prices. Intermediaries mean the governing bodies that regulate market prices. **Importation/exportation:** If there is a shortage, the state can or governing bodies of the state can import a certain amount to ease the problem. Yes, it might be a solution provided that it will not import too much because too much importation might cause another problem which I will no longer tackle because it's not from the point of view of the consumer. **Hoarding:** admit it or not, there are still people who will hoard their products and sell them at much higher prices when a shortage in supply like this occurs. Yeah, it is prohibited but we all know something like this is always out of reach by law. *Note 2: The author decided not to include inflation, and the use of equilibrium on the list due to complicated explanations that might make this article a novel.* So, there they are readers, which do you think is the cause of the exaggerated price increase in onion price today in the Philippine market? Are you still willing to use onions in your cuisine, or are you're gonna use other substitutes instead? Either way, it won't take long before the price comes back to normal.

First Holiday without Our Dad 2022 is about to end as the holidays are approaching. It’s the Christmas season guys and I know every one of us is busy trying to plan a great way to celebrate Christmas with our family. Perhaps many of you have created a to-do list and listed all the foods you want to prepare this coming Christmas eve. Some may also book flights to celebrate the holidays out of town. Some think that it is best to stay at home and feel the presence of our dear Lord’s birthday in peace. Yes, let us not forget the old tradition of “*Simbang Gabi”* a nine-day series of masses that usually starts on the 16th day of December and is usually executed at dawn, well that’s how it got its name. Probably this tradition was the reason for lots of other traditions being born such as the emergence of a rare rice cake in the Philippines called the “*Puto Bumbong”-* a purple-colored cylinder in shape rice cake, slightly sticky with a slightly sweet and bland flavor. Also, there is another delicacy called “*Bibingka”*, this rice cake is one of a kind, especially in the way it is being cooked. All of this and that in holidays, as we think of it, we usually depict a happy family enjoying the season together. However, this is only true for other people. It’s not that we aren’t happy for this coming Christmas, but rather it’s the very first Holiday season that we will celebrate it without our father. We won’t and will never celebrate it with him again for he passed away just a few months ago. I know I’m not the only one, I know other people experience the same maybe some families have experienced losing someone they love on the very day of Christmas. How sad would it be? But why is it that we should be happy? Well, not because it’s the Lord’s birthday but because we all know that wherever our dear loved ones go, whether they are alive or not, they will always live inside our hearts, souls, and memories. Additionally, we know that during this Christmas, finally, they will celebrate this special day in heaven where Jesus Christ our savior welcomes us. So, let us be happy for there are plans that the Lord has given to us, and maybe losing him/her is one of the steps to achieving that plan. Let us not forget that Christmas is not only for the living but also for the resting and undead souls, so let us pray for them and remember our lives together when they’re still with us.
Am I late joining Cashrain.com? Hey guys! It's been a while since my last article here. It's also been too long since I've involved myself in BCH transactions. Thankfully, I have read some articles discussing this intriguing site called Cashrain.com. I was hesitating at first, well you know when you have trust issues, I think it's just natural to think twice because there are other sites online that you know promising something like you'll earn this and that but then at the end of the day, you'll realize you're just wasting your time. https://cashrain.com/invite/h2tta3hp6wm So, what is Cashrain.com all about? Now, I don't have enough knowledge about this site because I don't have the time to dig into what it is all about due to my tight schedule. So, in order to help some of you who might have been wondering, I have collected and somehow proofread other articles pertaining to this stuff. https://cashrain.com/invite/xogfe19r0e You might want to check the article written by @Zainab_Fatima entitled "*Cashrain.com Raining BCH*". Inside Out: a movie critique **Introduction** Human beings, being one of the most complex forms of life and considered the most intelligent among all life forms are far from being perfect. Due to the super complex brain function of people, we are bound to experience mixed emotions that sometimes lead to more serious mental disorders which is why we need to understand our basic emotions so that we can cope not just with our environment but with our lives as a whole for the betterment ourselves. The movie **“*****Inside Out”*** depicts the perfect example of what a person is going through inside and how a failure to comprehend and control one’s emotions can devastate a person from the inside and outside of him/herself. **Analysis and Interpretation** Inside Out is a movie depicting Riley, an 11-year-old girl who loves to play hockey. However, her positive and loving personality changed and turns upside-down after her family moved to San Francisco. Riley finds it difficult to cope with the sudden change in her life and couldn’t hold or control her emotions which is technically typical to kids even in real life. Due to her incapabilities of managing her emotions, her life trembles even reaching the point where she runs away from home. While Riley is busy trying to understand her emotions and adjust somehow to her new life, Joy (Riley’s emotion) tried to help her but her family’s unprecedented move, makes Riley sad which brings her emotion inside, Sadness in the frontline. Joy and Sadness tried to help Riley which made them reach the faraway side of the protagonist’s mind leaving behind anger, fear, and disgust in the main headquarters which makes the problem worst to the point that it almost ruined everything about Riley but thankfully Joy never gave up and finds her way back to the headquarter together with sadness and the core memories they have lost. Throughout their journey, Joy discovered and learned a very crucial lesson that in every bright and joyful memory there is always sadness behind it and that all emotions will follow depending on how the person carries it. **Conclusion** Change is absolute and nothing is permanent, this is true even in outer space so we have to learn how to adapt to the sudden change in our lives. Our emotions are so powerful that a failure in handling them will surely make our lives in trouble as well as the people around us. Taking care of these emotions will make us better person so, balance every emotion we have, if we are happy, we should never forget the reason why we are happy and the emotion behind our happiness. The same goes if we are sad, always look back to the reason behind it and face it so that we can be happy after we overcome it.
I'm turning 23 Hi guys, since I have nothing exciting to write about, I will just share about my upcoming birthday. Yes, my birthday is coming near and to be honest, I have no plans at all. Well I'm already used to it since I don't usually celebrate it. You might be wondering why I'm kind of pessimistic when it comes to my own birth anniversary so I think I'll share them to you. I was born 23 years ago in a simple village in region 5 of the Philippines. I was raised by my parents who's occupation is to cultivate farm lands as a way of living. Yes they are farmers which is, by the way, a great job. Since we are born in a poor family, we cannot afford any luxurious things or even a simple birthday celebration. Therefore, we are used not minding the day when we are supposed to remembering our birthdate, after all we have works to do because if we don't work or at least make our day productive, we won't just miss a birthday celebration but we will also lose a chance of earning money to buy foods for the day and for the next day. Seems like a sorrowful childhood isn't it? However, we don't dislike and I don't feel shame of experiencing such a thing because that experience made me who I am today. Just Imagine, I was just a poor little boy who doesn't care about gadgets before, a boy who's happy and contented having a piece of wood as his toy, a boy who's enjoyment is fulfilled by having small stick and a plain land area where he can draw the anime he watched from a small tv screen of the his neighbor. Now, that poor little boy with full of dreams is right here, writing and sending his experience to all of his readers. I'm turning 23 now, and yet every time this date pass by the only thing I wanted is to pray and have a calm and peace space alone, not because I hate my birthday but because I want to reminisce the old days of my0 life. these old memorable experiences is enough gift for me to celebrate my special day. And with that, Happy Birthday to me and may God continue to Bless me and you as well.
I'm a victim of a judgmental society Being born in a society full of judgmental people worries me a lot, not just for me but for all who have been victims of first and critical impressions of others. We might say that it is not that we are judging them because we are just telling the truth based on what we observed but how sure are we that what we see in that person is the truth? I mean I can argue that if you admit that what you see is the truth because your eyes don't lie, then how come you believe in such things that you can't even see or touch? I am writing this article to enlighten the people that not all we see is true and not all we witnessed should be shared with one another, more importantly not all we observe needs to lead to what we think they are. My dear readers, this article is about to open your eyes that sometimes our judgment and our chosen words can hurt people around us and worst, it can also cause death to anyone. I have been struggling with the poor judgment of people towards me ever since I was young. It's about my gender identity and preference along with my physical appearance and body gestures plus the tone of my voice. To be honest, I used to get hurt, discriminated against, and bullied because of these characteristics. I don't know what's wrong with their judgment, now that I'm in college and I'm used to what people say about me, I don't care anymore because if I think about it every single day, I would have gone long ago, I would have killed myself because of humiliation but thankfully, I survive although the impression of these people is still there, but, you know when you already build so much strength to counter their poor judgment their words can no longer penetrate your heart. Just to be clear, I'm a man both in physical, mental, and spiritual aspects. Meaning, I am attracted to the opposite sex. The thing is that I almost inherited all of my mother's physical appearance except that I am a male. So, I look so much like her, even my eyes are gorgeous enough to fit into a female face. I look pale and almost tried everything to look tan but every time I did it my skin just turns red and burned at the same time, I don't even use an umbrella under a scorching sun but hey, nothing changes, it's still milky, and my cheeks? Yeah, it always turns red even from the slightest increase in temperature. In addition, I inherited my father's mannerisms, so, as usual, I cannot alter those characteristics, well, maybe that's the reason why it's called mannerisms because you unconsciously perform them. For those reasons, as I've mentioned in the second paragraph, I have been living with judgmental people around me to the point that I experience harassment and bullying both physically and mentally. Yes, I have been fighting these people with enough courage and faith so as not to commit suicide. Actually, I have another encounter two nights ago, there is this man who approaches my sister and ask about my gender identity my sister answered *"his a man and in fact, has a girlfriend"* then suddenly he explained his point of view from which I started to sit in front of him so that he will be intimidated and forced to talk continuously. He asks an apology after he explained his side and I exclaimed that it was nothing, not because it is as in nothing, but because I am used to that kind of poor-minded people. On the other hand, I tried to carefully assess myself also, maybe I was the one who was blinded because I set this kind of truth inside my head and that should be the thing that I will always find as a truth. However, even if killed I killed myself from meditating and reflecting too much my identity as a man is still the same, I am still attracted to women and I cannot do anything about it. You know what? It could have been much easier if you can easily open up to your family. The problem is they were the very first people to judge you. Yes, they don't react and keep their mouth shut but I know, and sometimes I heard they think the same as what the others. Well, I don't care because, at the end of the day, they also don't care what my gender identity is because we are family and they love me as one member of the family. Now, there is another problem and I think this is the most problematic, my aunties and uncles' judgment remains the same no matter what, at least that's true within the range of my family, and the most hurting is that they keep on sharing that information to their colleagues. Thankfully, I'm still alive but this is not always true for all, there are other people like me who have been experiencing the same situation but unlike me, they cannot bear the cruciality of the situation and they think that there is no room for them in the society where peoples eyes are watching waiting to witness something that is unpleasant to their sight and poor minds then widespread the rumors around the whole village or town without even verifying to the truth. Due to this reason victims suffer not just from simple humiliation but from depression as well. This problem may arise to one single conclusion in the minds of the victims and that is ending their lives because there is no room for them, for us in this cruel world. With this, I invoke your heart and mind to be mindful of the words you say to anyone, be wise in choosing the word when it comes to gender, and most importantly do not divulge any information that you don't have the authority to share with because one single mistake can cause one's life at stake. If you know something about the gender of a certain person and you know that you don't have a good choice of words and nobody is asking then it might be better to shut your mouth. One more thing, the absence of the person is not a valid reason for you to take advantage of sharing sensitive information about that person. Please be sensitive enough. That would be all for this article, and I hope you learn something!
Do English slowly devouring our language? The Philippines is home to more than a hundred dialects native to each province or ethnic group such as Kapampangan, Bikol, Tagalog/Filipino (national language), and so on. However, given the diversity of dialects the Philippines has, it is not new to us that from time to time we slowly change the pure national language and slowly forget it, or probably we unknowingly replace it with the English language which we can clearly observe today. This problem also gives rise to a new trend language that we use in our everyday lives. This language is called "Taglish", a combination of our national and 2nd languages. However, how true it is that we are slowly replacing our national language with the 2nd one? Well, the answer is right in front of you. Oh, I think it is right inside your mouth, Lol! Tell me, how far can you talk without a single English word coming out of your mouth? I think we can't even say "*pakiusap"* but we say "*please!"* when we plead with someone. It is true that we are no longer using our national language every day, and we can't blame anyone for refraining to use it, especially because we are required to use the English Language in formal settings like in our workplace. Again we cannot blame the workplace for refraining employees from using our national language because the Philippines is home to several foreign investors thus businesses are required to have one universal language that everybody can understand and sadly, the only language suitable to that description is English. The second one, we are now one of the biggest hubs of Business outsourcing ( call centers), and as we all know, BPO requirements include fluency in our 2nd language. Oh, by the way, don't ever tell me that you're just using English at work because every single day of using it there is no reason for you not to adopt the language at least using one word at a time outside the workplace. Yet, again there is always an advantage for a very concerning issue. Although we are slowly forgetting our own language, and slowly accepting English in our daily communication, it is somehow a way of overcoming language barriers between western nations and our country. The more fluent we are the better we can completely eradicate this barrier. I think the most suitable way to settle this problem is not to forget our own language. Yes, we can always use any language we want and it's free to everybody but isn't it a sense of nationalism to use our own national language at least in our everyday communication? Why forget or replace it if we can use and hone both, right? In fact, we can still learn more languages than these two. Remember: Do not put our language aside for it is the mark of who and what we are.
The end of this chapter: last day of OJT It's been three months since I started my practice training in an accounting firm. I have written at least two articles related to this topic as well. Now, at this very moment, I'm writing to finally give my final say and goodbye to the team and family I have met for the past three months of this course. As I mentioned in my previous article entitled "On my first day as an OJT in an accounting firm, " we were bound to do various accounting-related tasks, *and so far, I think we did all of that. Yes, we started from the simple filling of documents where we learn and memorized all kinds of documents regarding business registration up to the filing of taxes. I also mentioned in my* *2nd article* *before this one that it is indeed true that not all knowledge we acquired inside the school premises is useful in the actual work scenario. I was surprised when the owner of the firm who happens to be a certified public accountant that what they do in the firm is nothing like what they have taught inside the school, and I’m living proof of that.* https://read.cash/@Argent/on-my-first-day-as-an-ojt-in-an-accounting-firm-b82f9a46 https://read.cash/@Argent/proof-that-we-can-never-learn-everything-inside-the-school-1c848d07 *Well, anyway, there are still benefits of having overeducated, when you finally enter an organization, it would be easy for you to understand every scenario, especially when it comes to taxes because there are people who want to establish their businesses but they don’t have any idea about the process of registering to all government agencies so that they make their businesses legal. That’s the sole reason why accounting firms are established.* *We, as practice employees are being trained to settle any business and accounting-related issues and serve as a medium so to make other businesses exist legally. We were able to experience settling payments, registering with various agencies, transacting and communicating with clients, inspecting the clients’ financial statements and correcting them if needed, and so on.* *Today is my final word of appreciation to my family in this accounting firm where we are treated not just as mere employees but as true members of the family. Thank you for the wonderful three months of happiness as we tried to finish all papers with deadlines not just in double time but rather 10 times faster, lol!* *I am truly grateful for the experiences we shared and I will never forget this feeling for I am lucky to be part of this firm because we can’t always find a company that truly cares for their employees, care not just to benefit the output of the company but care and a bond just like a true family in blood.* *I hope soon after I graduated, I can still be part of this family and continue the fun we started.* *Once again, this is Argent, signing off as an OJT.*
Mass Hysteria or Demon Possession Hello everyone! Before anything else, let me point out the point straight. This article will either make things clear about the two variables on the topic or could add more confusion instead. Either way, both ideas will surely make your mind a hard time and will let you decide which is which according to the situation. So, Let us begin this seasonal article. Perhaps most of us love to debate, especially regarding our beliefs, things we think are true, and things that we can't even understand. We are aware that science and supernatural explanation do not in any way discuss a phenomenon from the same point of view. The reason for their opposite aspects is that science explains everything in a systematically logical way with sufficient supporting physical evidence. In contrast, supernatural explanation, on the other hand, explains particular events through knowledge or beliefs passed down through generations that somehow make sense and that in a single glance will likely convince anyone, this way explanation becomes strong and arguably make sense to be accepted as truth. The question is, which will you choose to believe in? Which of them will you consider as authentic and sophisticated, and which will you ignore? It's probably a waste of time to write outdated trends but surely this makes sense for I know that some of you aren't that normal, I guess you know what I'm talking about. Remember the case of Emily Rose? What about the news pointing to Clarita Villanueva? Do these incidents ring a bell? Yes, these two incidents perhaps are both popular incidents throughout the world. During their time when these two incidents became popular, one as a horror drama based on a true story, and one as a breaking news article that reach the whole world. They said that it was demonic possession. A demonic possession because no doctor even the best psychiatrist can explain what's really happening to them. In the case of Emily Rose, her parents took her to specialists, however, it took her a long time to take her medicines but it was no good and so her parents ended up seeking help from a parish priest. In the end, Emily died, and soon after the parish priest was accused of her death. It's disappointing though that even if someone who's just trying to help couldn't suppress his unidentified enemy from its host up to the extent of its precious life. Furthermore, the specialists who initially examine the victim claimed that Emily failed to take her medicines consistently which worsen her condition. This story will let you dive deeply into not just your sleeping critical thinking but rather your deep sense of justice and spiritual sense as well. Now, in this story, which side will you go to? What for you is the best explanation for this? Will the victim be saved through continuous medicine intake which according to her makes her condition much worse instead, or was this event truly a case of demonic possession that seek exorcism at the worst time when the hosts have finally reached the line between life and death? I will leave the decision to you. The story of Clarita Villanueva on the other hand somehow relates to the first story, fortunately, she overcomes the struggle and managed to have a good life. Since this is not a storytelling work, I'll just let you have your time to read her full story so kindly take time to read or watched it online if possible. So, When a group of people suddenly shows unnecessary actions usually violent reactions such as seizure, running amok, shouting bad words including cursing, and murmuring in unknown languages, what do you think is it called? Is it possession or mass hysteria? Well, it depends on who is judging the scenario. A person with a background in advanced and formal education might say it's a mass hysteria or a group of people acting like wild beasts without any certain cause. Of course, they might say that this event sometimes needs psychological treatment. Others might say, oh! it's a demon or a spirit or an elemental entity that possesses them which might become probable because of the foreign and perhaps a relic language they suddenly murmured which of course others might be surprised especially if no one from the victim has spoken that language from the very start. Furthermore, the fact that they will quickly react to someone with the so-called power to cast out evil like healers, and exorcists upon their arrival sounds rare for a person that is claimed to be in a state of mental disturbance by the psychiatrist. I honestly don't know who's telling the truth. How about you guys? Any ideas about which one is true when this happens in front of you? You have the power to decide. Whether it's psychiatric problem or a true case of demonic possession, one thing is for sure, and I guess we all agree with this, "have a strong bond and faith in God and we will all be save". With that, I bid you all fare well, and let's discuss another topic next time. Thank you!
A Promise of Love Hello everyone! This is Argent and I just want to share with you this feeling, I'm hoping for your advice at the end of the article, thank you! It started a while ago, I think I'm losing something. I feel lonely and sad, I don't know what it is and why I felt it, not until today, yes, today at the very moment while I'm writing this article. After several days of asking myself why I feel so lonely and hurt, I finally realize one thing, I'm jealous and hurt. I feel bitter and angry towards myself and my feelings for I can't control and dictate them wholly. Truly, It's been years of moving on since we parted ways. She already had multiple relationships with other guys and lived her life to the fullest while for me, on the other hand, is nothing, I was the same old guy who just directed his full attention and time in studying and not minding about love life ever since our break up. She was the very first woman that I truly gave my heart to and the very first one to break it so hard that even now I still felt. It's not that I had never been in a relationship before, in fact, I had too many past relationships before her, which I thought a true love but clearly, they were not. We first met at the school campus where we both studied. I was in grade 12, a year ahead of her. I never noticed her at first, she was like very kind, and shy but talkative towards her friends. We never knew each other despite being on the same campus, not until I played as a member of the volleyball team where I was nicknamed the ace because I did multiple aced serves that reach almost half of the total score of the team. That's when I noticed her, she was really loud and the only person who was cheering and yelling my name. The only lady that has the guts to yell my name so loudly despite my super intimidating presence which made even the most terror teacher some distance away from me. I was amazed by her personality. She requested a fan picture afterward, the very first picture of the both of us together. That's when it started and the rest is history. On November 24th year 2018, four days before my birthday, she broke my heart. I never expect an early birthday gift with a bomb inside of it, and it came from the very person that I loved. After that, I promised not to let myself fall in love that easy and never let my wall be broken again not unless that person is worth it. I made a promise to her that she may find another man to fall in love with but still, I will always love her, I will never find another woman and will try my best not to fall in love with unless it's her. My mind was bombarded with thoughts and emotions because of what happened that's why I've said that promise. I never felt angry but I did feel hopeless. Three months later, I thought I was already over it, but I was wrong. I was hurt and jealous when she dated someone, although I accept it and managed to get over it. Then she had breakups and another relationship and the cycle repeated itself. However, for me, I was just watching, and never had the guts to admit to her that I'm still in love with her. Yes, we still talk casually, usually giving her some advice but that's all into it. Almost three years have passed and I thought I was finally over it, however, I'm quite wondering why it's hard for me to commit to another relationship, yes, there are several opportunities for that but I've always turned them down. I don't know maybe because I have trauma or there is something else. Now, I realize why I'm being like this, It's because I'm hurt seeing her dating another man again. Don't get me wrong, I did feel hurt but not bitter enough to meddle with their relationship, I mean I love her and that's enough reason for me to support her in every way I can. Although I hope I was that person but clearly I was not. Why am I like this? It's because I promise to love her until the very end, that promise wasn't just a simple one, it was a promise I've made to God that even if its too much, I promise to guide her and love her, if she's not meant for me then please give me a sign but every time I want to quit the more reason will arrive so to stop me from finally letting go my promise. The promise of my love to her. The promise I've made in front of the church. Today, I'm relieve that she's having a good company together with her new man, I just hope that he will keep her safe make her as one of his priority from now on. As for now, I'm happy and contented to see her happy even though I'm not the cause of that hapiness.
Music is a Universal language Hello everyone! It's me again, yes you're right this article is as literal as the title suggests. We will tackle music and how it applies as a universal language. I'm hundred percent sure that music connects each and every one of us regardless of race, skin color, dialect, or geography you are in. We all agree on that simple logic, do we? The questions are, why do we need music in our life? What does music represent us? And how does music connect each of us despite so many diversities? **what is music?** According to the Collins English Dictionary, music is the art of systematizing vocals or instrumental sounds through various melodies, harmony, and timbres to create a masterpiece. So, how does music represent us? Well, the fact that music is incredibly "lyrical" is born from creating poems that have a base of compound emotions from the author means that the poem depicts real-life scenarios. Just put melodies and harmony to this poem and a piece of music full of emotions with one big hidden story that everyone can relate to is created. The same explanation can apply to the question "How does music serve as a universal language?" Let's sight some examples; Think about the trend today, perhaps the word "K-POP" is a common term that all of us can understand, right? K means Korean, therefore, their music compositions are based on their native language, and yet, why is it that they are famous all over the globe? Why ought non-Korean races to listen to their music despite their lack of understanding of the language? Simply because the music genre, harmony, and melody convey the whole meaning of the song, and even if you're illiterate in that particular language, this gap is being filled by incredible music compositions. Then, since you like their music, the next thing you'll probably do is search for the literal meaning of the song lyrics so that you can understand the full story behind that masterpiece. Now, It's not just about the lyrics, It's about the emotions the music can give to us. We feel joyful when the music is energetic, we can feel the sorrows of the composer through his deep soulful composition, and we do the same in other compositions, no dialect has spoken but pure music surrounded the place still we understand the story and the message the composer wants to tell. **How does music serve as medicine to us?** Music is not just a language but a medicine as well. Here's how it works; When we can't sleep at night and take some rest, there is music that can help us calm ourselves make our minds at ease, and finally, bring us to our sleep. I honestly do this every time I find it hard to take sleep. I'm used to listening to instrumental music from the classical era with the greatest composers of all time, thankfully it never fails me. When I can't focus on my studies and I need to finish every single homework on time, music helps me to relax and meditate, it even helps me to calm down a bit and increase my intellectual capacity of comprehending and that's crucial especially if you're doing a thesis. When I have too many clients commissioning artworks (painting, portraits) and they need it on a specific date. Music helps me to moderate my mood so that I can focus on the right mood I need and make the artwork as good as the client wants. Whenever I felt fully depressed and I don't have the means to stay on the line and continue the work, the music kicked in and the table will turn positively. Finally, when we are in an unbearable heartbreak, music can help us ease the pain if not fully heals it. Perhaps this is the most powerful gift of music, healing broken hearts and making it possible to fall in love again, again, and again until we finally meet the right person to be with for the rest of our lives. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the power of music, the language that can penetrate all barriers and make our hearts, minds, and souls united.
Your strongest enemy is yourself "Sometimes the most cunning enemy is the closest one to you". Does this phrase sound familiar? Yes, of course, you know what I'm talking about, this is a common and perhaps as old as a scratch compact disc. However, though it may sound unjust and preferably only happens in dramas, we agree that it happens from time to time and to anyone. However, although we agreed about the truthfulness of this phrase, I dare to object to the strength or boldness of this cliche. Yes, since we are humans who only vow to progress and success while living we will do anything to achieve that goal even at the cost of making enemies of others. Moreover, we also encounter other non-living enemies. However, we call them struggles and hindrances and not total enemies but a way of testing our strength and determination so as to achieve what we aim to be. So, what are our enemies in achieving our goals? Perhaps you knew about gossip and negative thoughts of others towards you, right? Now, this is one of the strongest enemies we have and I think all of us are dealing with this kind of enemy, but you know what? If you can't handle the negativity of others toward you, then you will never defeat the other you. The "YOU" who bares hatred, negativity, poor self-esteem, sadness, and advanced failure thinking. Yes, my dear readers, it is yourself that prevents you from being the better version of your own. A piece of advice, learn to deal with your own nightmares, your own reflection because if you do, then success shall reign upon you. It is not your friends that will bring you despair, nor your pessimistic relatives. The pessimistic people around you will only contribute to a demon that is already inside you and once you don't know how to deal with that side of you, these people whose only means is to degrade and snap your bright future will be victorious in flaring up the worst version of yourself. Come to light, make yourself shine, do not be afraid, and try to fight for your future. Let them throw unreliable ideas but have faith in yourself and defeat the strongest enemy you are born to fight from the start, deal with it, and finally overcome it. Once you do, this will be the best revenge for the rest of your enemies, trust me they will leave you alone voluntarily because they can no longer pull down, all that just because you did a great job dealing with the only ally they have that resides within you. Hence, never ever let that demon devour you, or else you'll end up being diagnosed with mental illness which sadly the rest of human society can never understand. I hope this will help you reflect on your own. Thank you!
Proof that we can never learn everything inside the school It's been a while since my last visit here in read.cash due to many reasons but the very first among them is that I'm still deployed in the fields, specifically in an accounting firm for my on-the-job training and so far, this is the only time I've got to write something I learned in the past few days. It's not new to all my readers about my recent appointments due to the update I've made a few weeks since I started my training. It is safe to say that this article may prove to be the 2nd part of that article I've made in prior weeks. Here, I will share what I've learned about real office work scenarios compared to school papers only. For your updates, It's been 26 days since my first training day. While many might think that a mere on-the-job trainee would only make some assistance to those who are employed which I don't honestly blame because of some truthful instances, however, the firm where I am deployed is different, they treat you as a regular employee which is advantageous. The first lesson I learned in the firm is how to distinguish and file all sorts of forms, more particularly tax forms which honestly barely even taught in school. Now, you all probably thinking about how difficult it is to compute taxes given the numerous laws we have. In school, it's too confusing due to fluctuating or overlapping laws governing taxes, maybe that's one of the reasons why many students fail tax subjects. However, in actual offices, the computation of taxes is not that so complicated, well, I personally vouch for that because I did experience computing a client's taxes starting from regular rates, special rates, and so on and it's not something you need to cry on after all the tax codes the clients have used are provided at the back of the documents, the only thing left for you to deal with is to compute and analyze if that client's income is subject to any kind of taxes and penalties, but in many cases, the clients usually submit their documents fully computed and that you only need to check for accuracy. Another thing, since it is usual that all documents of the clients are fully prepared monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annually, you only have one task, and that is to prepare a summary report of all accumulated documents with complete information which will then be used to compute for the actual charges including penalties and soon be settled in the nearest internal revenue office branch. By the way, I was assigned to be the authorized personnel of the firm starting from registering new clients up to settling their bills and charges in BIR, hooray for me! soon enough, the firm will compensate every client's settlement I'll make in BIR, take note, I'm still an on-the-job trainee and not their regular employee. Also, the firm let us experience summarizing and auditing financial statements, reviewing for accuracy, settling client's payments with astonishing amounts, and dealing with day-to-day clients- by the way they let us deal with them alone after teaching us once. I also have this experience in which they let me settle payments for the first time without anyone accompanying me, they just gave the instructions, and viola! there you go, thankfully I managed. So, that's it so far for my experiences, I honestly don't think those kinds of things are being taught in school which honestly enlightened me a bit about what result should I expect from my current thesis. It is safe to say that for now, my experience is proof of the present gap that influence skills and expectation mismatch among accounting employer and graduates.
I’m Earning: My Gods Unchained Progress Report It has been a while since my last article about blockchain gaming, and although I was only sharing games that are free which, unfortunately, you’ll have to spend lots of time for you to realize profits, I’m 100% sure that the work and time you spend grinding will soon be rewarded. Remember that this article is only meant to report God’s Unchained progress since I played the game. Since I already made an article explaining what Gods’ Unchained is, I will no longer discuss the details of how and what to install or play the game itself. **How to earn in Gods’ Unchained?** Well, earning is what drives the rest of us to grind and play blockchain gaming for the longest time, right? So, before we can finally earn a $Gods token (P17.86- current token value), we still need to understand some terminologies such as; in-game and marketable currency, Forging, Card quality, and rarity which will help us in the market sooner. **Cards’ Rarity** The card’s rarity determines how much $GODS token we need to forge one card into NFT. There are currently four types of rarity, namely; (note that the following is listed from least to greatest) · **Plain:** plain cards are usually the common cards we can get for free upon installing the game, these cards can be minted through the forge section costing only 0.1 $GODS token and 20 flux. · **Rare:** Rare cards will cost you 0.3 $GODS token and 40 flux · **Epic:** These cards cost 0.7 $GODS token and 120 flux upon forging · **Legendary:** Cards with this high rarity will cost you 1.5 $GODS token and 200 flux to forge one NFT. **Card’s Quality** There are also five types of card quality, however, unlike card rarity which only determines the cost of each type when forging, card quality will determine if the card is ready to sell or can be listed in the market as well. A list of quality types is written below: · **Plain:** The first type and the only type that cannot be sold in the market unless minted into a meteorite. You’ll have to own two identical cards to forge one meteorite card (this article will provide examples in the latter part) · **Meteorite:** As mentioned above, you can sell this type of card as long as you own it. · **Shadow:** This type will need five identical meteorite cards to mint, so technically even though the cost of minting is fixed, you’ll still accumulate higher costs because of the number of cards needed to forge into the next quality level. Thus, forging one shadow card will cost you more depending on the card’s rarity times the number of meteorite cards needed. In the equation, for example, a plain meteorite to plain shadow would be; (0.1 $GODS*5(number of cards needed) + 20 Flux*5(no. of cards) = 0.5 $GODS and 100 flux. The same equation can be applied to other cards’ rarity, just change both the number of $GODS and flux needed, like, if it is rare 0.1 will be 0.3 and 20 flux will double (number of cards is fixed from minting shadow to diamond) · **Gold:** These shiny cards will undergo the same process as the others, the only difference is how much it will cost you. · **Diamond:** The last stage of the card’s quality but the process is identical to the early-stage levels. **Game Currencies:** There are three currencies used in the game, kindly see the list below; 1. **Flux:** Flux is the in-game currency used for forging or minting your cards into NFT. You can earn flux by simply playing and winning a match. 2. **Star:** Star can also be obtained by winning a match. You can buy cards that are available in the star store. Usually, they might sell shadow cards and random rarity cards. 3. **$GODS:** This is the official token of the game which you can exchange for real money if you want. **Forge** Forging is the exact term synonymous with minting. You need multiple identical cards in forging because you’ll need to fuse them to make them into a tradeable NFT. The cost of fusing cards is already discussed above. Sample Picture: **Progress Report:** As proof of what I was explaining recently, I’ll show you how some of my activities in the past few weeks. **The Daily play and earn** Daily play and earn allow you to earn a $GODS token by simply playing the game. Here, you’ll just play the first 10 matches during the day. Upon winning, you’ll be granted GODS fragments which will be converted into $GODS token after 7 days from the date you played. The only downside of this event is that you’ll get nothing when you lose aside from EXP of course. Please see the proof below: **Star store:** Here’s what I’ve been talking about earlier: Here is an example of the market where I usually sell my NFT cards. As you've noticed the value of the cards is not yet that high, it's because of the factors such as rarity, market demand, and the quality of the card itself. Although I don't need to sell them because it would be much beneficial if I hold them first. **Below is a spreadsheet I made to compute the tokens I made during the entire week:** I hope you'll find this article enjoyable and interesting.

On my first day as an OJT in an accounting firm August 16, Tuesday. It was my first day as an on-the-job trainee in an accounting firm. I know this is supposed to be typical for all students taking bachelor's degrees who are required to undergo such training so as to qualify for graduation. What is an OJT and what is its purpose? according to vectorsolutions.com (2018), OJT is a time-tested job instruction together with the actual employee in the actual work site. This means OJT is a kind of training with an allotted time to finish. So, basically, its purpose is to let the student experience what it is like to work in the actual job area. *Back to the story* So, here's what happened yesterday on my first day in an accounting firm as a trainee. By the way, I have two more companions that were assigned in the same area where we work but I think that's just for the meantime as per the supervisor. We start our day at 9 am and will finish at 5 pm, same as the schedule as the regular employees of the firm. As usual, the first day is composed of a little bit of introduction, and an explanation of what will going to happen during the whole OJT allotted hours which is 300 hrs, by the way. After the short orientation, we were assigned to filing BIR tax forms which actually quite easy only that some codes are confusing but it is nice to have that as our first task anyway. It took the three of us the whole day to finish filing all documents due to crowded clients but so far, so good. After filing we were called for another meeting to clear up some confusion and informed us what will it be like as an OJT in the firm and how they will manage us for the whole 300 hours of our training. Soon we will experience hands-on what is it like to work inside an accounting firm because according to the owner of the firm, he will make sure that a rotation of the job so as to experience all the tasks from filing, settling obligations, auditing, and so on. So, that's it for this article, stay tuned for the possible part two or three as updates about my experience as an OJT.
Thinking of something to write is not an easy task I know some of you are also struggling with this matter. Yes, my dear reader, no matter how good you are at writing articles, sure there are times when we can't think of something to write and share with our readers. There are a lot of factors that might contribute to this kind of situation and for this particular article, I will share with you some of the factors that cause me not to come up with an excellent piece to write. Here are the factors; (although please note that this might be subjective due to individual differences, we are individually unique. **Laziness** I think this is the most common factor of all that can be applied not just to me but to all writers out there. Feeling lazy makes it hard for our brain to function to the full extent to the point that we only want to sleep and slack all day. **Tiredness** I mean who's a person can actually think properly if they are tired? Although there might be someone who can make it the chance of thinking and making an excellent masterpiece might be ruined because of tiredness. **Lack of experience** It's not totally the lack of experience to write and some technicalities in grammar that I'm talking about, rather it's the lack of everyday activities that we don't know what to write or in other words, we technically don't have something to write because nothing exciting happened in our life. **Lack of time** Probably the most usual to all of us. Lack of time is what makes it all hard to write even if we have good ideas or exciting experiences to share if we don't have time to write it, it's nothing. Yes, we might save it for next time and so if we have spare then we can write it so but the longer you wait to write it the bigger possibilities it cuts the excitement and the raw feelings you felt when you actually experienced it. Writing something that opposes your current feeling or mood might ruin the article. So, that's it for my list of factors that might contribute to you feeling unease about thinking and writing an article. There are still lots of factors but for me, these four are the most common and the major factors.
Someone or something is bothering my sleep again and again Dreams of any kind are usual to people and sometimes it means that we are normal, however, will you still consider it normal if nightmares come almost every single night? What startled me is that it frequently shows the same scene and person yet the most creepy is the moment I woke, I saw someone, particularly one of my siblings walking downstairs. What could this mean? Does this nightmare that occurs every night has something to do with my deceased father? Or, maybe it has something to do with my mental health? The day we went back! We went back to Pampanga right after papa's 40 days. The very first night in our apartment seems odd and I quickly sense something different. I know that there are ghosts residing in the apartment because as you all know my 6th sense is open, now what guarantees you that I'm saying the truth is the fact that my siblings, nephew, and niece also see them and sometimes these ghosts love to play with the kids. Honestly, there are times that my nephew run to us and says, "*Moomoo*" while pinpointing directly the direction where he sees it. Sometimes he plays alone on the 2nd floor and laughs but no one is there beside him, although I don't think it's abnormal because he's close to me and that may be the cause of his active 6th sense, or maybe I did open it accidentally but at least I know how to deal with it if something bad happens. The third night I was irritated because I usually fell asleep around 11 pm but I couldn't do it that night until 3 am, then at 3:55 my alarm rang and I get up to stop it then my brother opened the light in the kitchen - at least that's what I saw. I quickly went down and check if what on earth just happened and he woke up so early. My thoughts now are starting to ramble because I saw nothing downstairs, and he doesn't seem to went outside because the door was locked from the inside but then I didn't see him walking back upstairs. So, who was that man, and how did the lights turn on without anyone physically touching the switch? Despite what I witnessed, I didn't mind it at all, it could be my wildest imagination or something, and so I went back to sleep. If you're wondering if I felt fear every time I have an encounter with this kind of stuff then my answer is, no, I don't feel something scary although it's creepy, it's a normal case-by-case scenario for the likes of me who's the third eye is open, and in fact, I have experienced much worse than this scenario but here I am still alive and writing my experience from something that can only be experienced by a few. 5th night since we arrived in the apartment I was able to fall asleep early this time. However, I had this nightmare that stuns my body. It felt like someone walking right beside my bed, then the footsteps stops and I know that he was beside me. I slightly opened my eyes to take a look but to my surprise, it was only a dark giant pair of feet, it was standing beside my bed and frozen for a second. later on, the feet start to lay on the bed and quickly strangle me. The feet were too heavy for me to lift and free me from strangulation, eager to free myself, I tried to bite the giant feet but it was futile because the feet were made of gas, then I started to pray as I always do during circumstances like this. Slowly, the feet evaporated after several repetitions of my own made prayer. I don't pray the usual prayers that we all have memorized because demons can easily recite them in chorus especially if you say them without meaning it- please do not be offended because I have no intention of doing so. Note: *The reason for reciting my own made prayer instead of what we are used to is because the bed where I slept was the bed that my father used when he was suffering from his illness and he continued to use it until we got home, the bed was placed underneath the stairs where negative elements are usually playing so it's normal for me to pray what is necessary to quickly cast them out my sleep before anything could happen to me.* 6th day of the sleep disturbance Here is the most recent one and hopefully the last one of the consecutive bad experiences. It was 3:55 am, my usual alarm rang and I stop it. A few seconds later, I felt full and I need to release my body's waste but I endure it for a moment because I saw my sister who was sleeping beside me, and she went down to the bathroom. I wait for minutes until I cannot hold it anymore, I went down and wondered why did my sister is not yet returning upstairs even though the bathroom was already open. Then I step back a bit and try to look back into the bedroom. My face started to feel like it is inflamed and it felt so light when I saw her sleeping so well. I mean, how did that happen? why didn't I notice her on the bed where in reality it was just a few seconds after I step out of the room? There is only one way going in and out of the room and that is the stairs, so, if she's there slightly snoring then who was that lady which looks exactly like her? Whatever or whoever she was, I don't care as long as they don't hurt us, it's fine. Maybe you're wondering why I don't have the guts to confront these spirits if I claim that my third eye is open. My dear readers, the fact that I will deal with the dead is nothing but a gamble on your life and the security of your family is something that I don't want to lose. I already tried helping people dealing with the dead but it only brings bad karma. I opposed the natural cycle of nature and spirits then the next time I knew, my father got an incurable illness that he suffered a lot. Try to ask anyone who claims that they can see the dead. Ask them if they pay some price if they tried to intervene with the balance of nature, I'm certain they will answer yes but they will not answer specifically. Now, the question of whether you believe it or not is up to you.
The beginning of my ending step as a student it has been 16 years more or less since I started studying, well, I guess we all need to attend school for at least 14 years to make sure we will get a brighter future, yet if you're gonna ask me, then I might say that it sounds like stereotyping thinking that someone who doesn't pursue their education doesn't have a brighter future. Perhaps the best way to put this kind of logic is like this " *We all have our future though none of us have an idea of what our future will be like, but surely if someone tried his best to finish his studies, then a greater future awaits him*", and for this very reason tho many obstacles came and a bunch of struggles hit me and my family, I dare to say that I'm still here fighting for that brighter future that all of us are aiming for. My dear readers, please do not get so excited yet as though I'm standing in front of you and reciting my final speech. Yes, you just read it right, I'm not there yet but at least I am proud to say that I'm almost there and the beginning of my ending steps as a student will start this month (August). I do think positively but we are all aware, yes? Something terrible might happen, or maybe struggles, hindrances, or whatever you call it will be more difficult to overcome especially because I'm now a graduating student. Given that circumstances, I don't want to be so relaxed, yet I don't see myself being so stressed and slowly being eaten by a toxic school environment. We only have 3 subjects with total units of 15. As we all know especially for those who had been or are currently in their fourth year now, a thesis is one of the aforementioned subjects and I know how difficult it is, so, I dare to say that it is strenuous indeed, especially to our brain cells and neurons but sadly none has ever been promoted without accomplishing such requirement. Although the remaining subjects are quite okay and somehow I think I can manage, it doesn't guarantee me 100% success because as we all know a great man's long-term victory is through his hard work. It is rather justifiable to exert efforts not just in carefully listening to what the professors are teaching but also in finding time to review all the previous lessons you have since the very start of your college journey although it is quite unnecessary in my case because the review will be covered and is considered as one subject in our school but still, trying to do so might help a lot if I want to finish my studies successfully this year. Finally, I have noticed that this article is now subject to end but rest assured that yours truly will still find time to write. Once again this is Argent and might I leave you with an eloquent quote by one of the most respectable men in the world, Bill Gates; quote " It's fine to celebrate success, but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure".
I'm finally back! Hi guys, it's been a while since my last article here on read.cash, and I want to share with you what happened in the past two months of my absence. so, it all started when my father was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma ( a type of cancer in the abdomen). He was brave enough to fight back and overcome his illness. We tried everything we could only to discover that my father's condition was beyond cure. Doctors from different hospitals explained that the only thing we could do was to pray and ask for miracles to happen. My father's will to survive was so strong to the point that he was the one deciding on whatever operation he'll take based on the options prescribed by the doctors, however, his body was too weak, and despite his firm decision to undergo the two consecutive operations prescribed by the surgeons, it won't do good for him because his body was too weak and his vitals were deteriorating too fast until we decided to go home in our province and take care of him. On 24th May, dad called us, "I can't hold it any longer" he exclaimed. " I want to go home and attend a Sunday mass in the church there" he added. Then we cried as if everything was doomed. Then at 12:00 midnight on May 25th, we went home. It was 10:00 a.m. when we finally reached our little village in the province, we accompanied dad to the church and later on visited the wonderful view of the sea. After that day, every day that passed we knew that father might pass away and so we tried our best and tirelessly took care of him 24/7, until June 15 at 5:20 p.m., he died after his final word " Jesus"! I know and we are prepared for that anytime my dad will go through and will rest in peace but the moment I witnessed my father's breath slowly fading away it also shattered my heart into pieces. I wanted to help him grasp his breath but I can't, no one can, and if I do, that would be so selfish trying to prolong my beloved's suffering just to relieve the pain that I felt. Fast forward, due to my mother's wish, I stayed there for one additional month so to help her recover at least. Then, I travel back here to continue my studies. I just hope that she can at least cope with her everyday life without dad, thankfully, she still lives there with my younger siblings and nephews. that's it for today's article and I hope you guys are okay! Love your parents while they are still alive and cherish every moment with them because you can never do those things when they die.
Meeting my past and future self I’m always wondering what could be my future self looks like, well I guess that’s how others think as well. Sometimes despite possessing pictures or memories of our past selves we still wonder what we look like when we were in the past, there are times when we reminisce while looking at our old pictures, and we even laugh at our old looking selves reacting so much how we changed a lot from then. So, what if I meet my past self and the future me? How can we talk about each other when we know that we are one but separated by time? What would be our topic? I guess you already know right? But let’s just see for the sake of today’s article. Let’s say, one day while I’m walking around somewhere; I met my past self. Oh, hey! Why am I so skinny? Ah….no, not me, the past version of myself that is. No….. Why am I laughing at him? Ah…I get it now; his face is like a rocky road-well I guess you know what I mean, right? And oh, don’t forget his outfit, I mean I couldn’t say worst because whether the clothes are out in trend or old enough, it looks like the outfit just naturally fits in, I don’t know, maybe that’s how I used to be and maybe that’s one of the best reason why he’s well known to girls back then. Well anyway, he also laugh at me, I don’t get it but he insulted my long blond thick hair-so what; if I decided to look like a rock star? Wait a sec? Do I look like a rock star? Oh my, maybe he’s laughing because I resemble my mother that much and with this long hair others might have been mistaken for me as a girl, and maybe just maybe, this is now the reason why I’m single for almost five years now. Arrrr, that sucks. In the end, we just shared things that I know he had already encountered and I gave him some advice to make his future decisions more mature than what I did before. The following morning, I went back to that place and met this guy, who completely resembles my physical appearance. He dressed up in semi-formal attire and looks so young but how? He’s my future self, he should look older than me. “I guess you know who I am, right?” he said. I guess he really is my future self, he even recalls what happened yesterday in detail. Somehow, I’m quite happy that he’s a different person now, he achieved that much all by himself, although he has regrets because he didn’t reach his goal as early as he could. If only he did not slack too much, maybe he was able to provide everything for his parents before they left. In the end, he left me without saying anything, maybe that’s for the best and I think because he and I are technically one person, I guess not saying anything is telling everything. Once again, this is your multiverse author- thank you!
You're not good at math? No worries you can still be an accountant I’m pretty sure you’ve already heard the usual connotation or belief by the majority of people inside our society that one should be good in mathematics if so he/she enrolled or graduated in accountancy or commerce in its old name. Is it true or is it just a typical belief which is a product of our society’s stereotypes? In this article I would like to discuss with you the truth about accountancy hoping that some of you might consider taking it as your college course. *Before we continue please bear in mind that whatever the author will discuss below is purely based from experience with some additional ideas from other accounting students.* **Accounting stereotype/s** There are several accounting stereotypes out in our society that lingers our minds leading some people to avoid taking this course, somehow these stereotypes becomes stronger and it seems true especially in the Philippines where licensure examination results are too low for the past few years. Well, I can’t blame others for avoiding the course because of fear of failing the examination after studying for 5 years at most. However, as an accounting student, I don’t think that these stereotypes are true although I somehow agree that the course is boring but when you really love it and you feel that you belong in this field then I think you can always find a way to enjoy the subjects, right? So, here are some of the accounting stereotypes that we have; · **Accounting is flooded with mathematical subjects so, one can take accountancy provided that he/she is good at numbers –** well, this belief is a big hoax, I can personally prove that to you. The truth is, you just need to familiarize the four fundamental operation in math, and you don’t need to be as brilliant as Einstein or Newton nor to become as wise as Pythagoras to become an accountant or to take accountancy course. What you need is a wide and deep analytical skills to understand each problem. You’ll also need a wide mental space to hoard every fundamentals and laws in accounting, furthermore, make sure you have lots of time to spare in reading and familiarizing journals and books in accounting because remember, reading with comprehension is a powerful weapon in learning. You will also have to be adaptive because accounting standards frequently change so, it is also advisable not to be satisfied with just understanding the existing laws and standards, be sure to have loads of time to study the current trends (accounting standards). In the old corporation code- a corporation can have 50 years in life but is always subject to renewal but the revised corporation code- a corporation now has a perpetual existence (can exist for as long as it could). Lastly, and perhaps the most important for all accounting students is the need for calculator, and you can also add computer software that is specifically designed for accounting purposes, this is the reason why you don’t need to be excellent in math but rather be excellent in understanding or comprehending situations and problems after that, use the calculator to compute the numbers for you. Mind you, if you’re just good at math but you have a poor reading comprehension you will not arrive at the correct answer, trust me I’ve long experienced that. · **Accountants are number crunching all day-** Well, this is not true either, although I can vouch that entry level accountant do maintain financial records but there software for that, you just need to input the data needed and voilà. You’ll just need to analyze and make reports based on the data presented in the software. · **Accountant are expert in tax and they love it –** this is nonsense, I’ve known many accounting students and accountants who hates tax because tax is complicated and there are a lot of computation you’ll make plus tax returns need to be submitted every April per year. For example, think about science and biology, science is the general term and biology is a branch of science hence if you are a biologist your expertise is in biology but you have a basic knowledge or somehow average knowledge about chemistry, physics and other branches of science because it is a part of your field. Same goes with taxation, becoming CPA doesn’t necessarily mean you’re good in tax because one still need expertise in this field so to consider you as an expert. Hence, not all accountants are good in everything about accounting. There are still lots of accounting stereotype out there you can search them online and you can try to ask someone if it’s true or not but one thing for sure, if you love what you are doing then you don’t have to listen or pay attention to negative connotation of other people, we have our own unique tastes after all. The good thing is, when you take accounting related courses, you will not worry about seeking job opportunities because job will seek for you, there are lots of industries where accountants are needed just make sure you accept the job you are good with.
Fiat money – everything we need to know about money Before I tackle the difference between fiat money and cryptocurrency, we should first understand the meaning of money and why it is important in our daily lives. While most of us are already familiar with the use of money, I’m pretty sure that some of us are not familiar and don’t understand why we use paper bills and metallic coins, which are practically cheaper than the goods we usually buy using these bills and coins. To understand how it is possible, let us first look back at the history of trading in human history. During the early stage of the “market”, our ancestors don’t use the money we use today however they used a system of trading which is rather common in our knowledge, this system is called the “*Barter System”.* **Barter system** A barter system is a process of acquiring goods or services in exchange for other products or services which has an equal value to the products the buyer wanted to acquire. Say, for example, I want to have a summer outfit this summer so I went to the shop but since money is not yet introduced, I have to bring something that I can trade in exchange for the summer outfit that I want. **What is Money?** As our technology, knowledge about commerce, and marketing expands the barter system suddenly fades away and a new system was imposed just so to make our trading effective and efficient. Just as when the use of money was introduced, it replaces the barter system, today only intercompany is using the countertrade- a new method of barter system. Money is anything people will accept in exchange for goods and services. In earlier times the cacao beans are being used as money and soon it was replaced with gold, silver, and bronze coins. Nowadays, we use paper bills and copper coins- at least. You might be wondering why some countries stop the production of coins made of silver or gold, this is because of scarcity. Fact that silver and gold are difficult to mine and is considered rare metals, producing coins out of these materials is highly costly. An object must have five characteristics to consider as a form of money and these are the following; · ***Acceptability*** – of course, money should be acceptable, people must be willing to accept a certain object as payment for the goods and services. · ***Scarcity-*** this characteristic is important, for an object to be considered money, this should be scarce otherwise the value of the object will decline and in some cases lose its whole value. · ***Durability-*** from the word itself durable, money should have a long-term life span that’s why we usually use coins and paper bills. · ***Divisibility –*** sometimes the value of our money is more valuable than the products we want to acquire that’s why our money should be divisible, for example, in the Philippines we have 1,5,10, and 20 pesos coins we also have 20,50,100,200,500, and 1,000 peso bills. The reason for this division is to give back the change to the buyer if his/her money has a higher value than the goods/services he/she buys. · **Portability-** one of the reasons why the barter system is no longer used today is the difficulty to carry objects just to exchange them for other goods. Our money today can fit in our wallets so it is safe to say that it’s portable. **Three main purposes of money** The three main purposes of money are the following; · ***Medium of exchange-*** it literally suggests that money should be accepted in exchange for any goods or services. · ***A measure of value-*** it allows us to measure the value of a certain product or service for an instance, the value of canned tuna is 100 pesos and the value of shoes is 1500 pesos, using money to measure the value of the products is much easier than guessing the value of each product through its uses. · ***Store of value-*** money must have the capacity to be saved for future use. However, storing it for future spending is not as wise as investing, remember the time value of money plus the problem in inflation so if you’re planning to save it for later use why not invest them to accumulate profit through time. **Why do paper bills have value?** Despite the appearance (paper), paper bills have their value because we believe that they should have a value, for example, I believe a 100 peso bill has value because I can buy anything as long as it falls under the price not exceeding 100 pesos. This is what we called fiat money in which an object doesn’t have a true value but because we believe that it must have one then it should be treated as valuable. According to Investopedia, Fiat money is government-issued money that is not backed by a physical asset like gold or silver, but rather by the government that issued it. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/f/fiatmoney.asp
Good morning people, Good morning earth, I hope you'llhae a fine and wonderful day today, remember to wear your smile all the time
Let’s win the race in Pegaxy ***Disclaimer:*** *The author does not promote the game that is being discussed in this article, this is not also a paid advertisement or is not in any way connected to the widening of the game but rather as simple as a review of the game.* I’ve been playing various NFT games since the day I was introduced to the crypto world and although I must admit that you can earn a lot so long as you know how to play and the basics of the market, it’s not free at all. You need capital to start earning and some NFT games require high capital to start and sometimes you’ll need to exert too much effort for grinding so that you can earn fairly and reach ROI in the shortest possible time. Additionally, gas fees are a wholesome problem for everybody so, most of the crypto players are only those who have spare money to invest. On the brighter side, there is one way for you to play NFT games despite the lack of budget, I’m pretty sure you know about the word “scholars”- these are the people who play the spare NFTs of the manager- owner of the NFT in exchange of commissions by playing the game. This will allow you to earn and slowly accumulate enough tokens to start your own team. One of the best examples I can give is “Axie infinity”. This article will tackle *Pegasus Galaxy (Pegaxy).* **What is Pegaxy?** Pegaxy is a play-to-earn PVP horse racing game in which users compete against 11 other racers for the top three positions. Wind, water, fire, speed, and other elements are randomly assigned to each race. Players must place in the top three using clever improvements, food, and skill to win the platform's utility token, VIS (Vigorus). It is built on a layer 2 Polygon/Matic solution. **Renting/renting process** As I’ve said earlier, you can become a scholar if you don’t want to spend your money and gamble for the risk. Here at Pegaxy renting is the alternative word for scholarships. In the usual way, payments to the scholars are made manually by the manager this allows unfair treatment of the scholars by not paying them the right amount over the time they spent playing the game. For that reason, Pegaxy uses an automated payout and rental process which means the Pegaxy itself will become the mediator between the managers and the scholars taking into account all the agreed profit sharing of both parties. There are three types of renting inside the game, these are the following: · **Fixed rental** is the typical renting system where the owner puts his/her owned Pega onto the market with a fixed price amount and time of use that corresponds to the price. Remember that when everything is settled and listed in escrow the agreement will carry on until conditions have been fully met so, there is no turning back. · **Direct rental –** this is specifically designed for guilds. · **Profit share –** here, it is simply like offering your Pega into the open marketplace of the game, you just need to put the percentage of split profit and put on rent however, the owner can pull or take back the Pega from the scholar. (*Yours truly had experienced this personally lol!)* To know more about Pegaxy you can just read its white paper here! https://whitepaper.pegaxy.io/
There is no greatest revenge than success Have you ever experienced hardship in life? How about being bullied by someone else because of your imperfections? Did you ever experience discrimination because of your race, color, language, physique, and life status? What if people around you are pulling you down and preventing you to reach your goal? In times when everyone seems to trouble you, what do you think should be the greatest revenge? Will, you cursed them just to pay them back for what they did to you, or should you hurt them physically to ease your pain? In our society, statuses are meant to differ for every person, or should I say, family. The presence of poor and rich is not a bad thing at all, except when rich people started to think they are powerful and they can bind the laws through their money. Having said that, people who consider themselves poor are usual victims of bullying. Negative thoughts, comments, and gossip always roam inside our society, sometimes, even if you don’t do a thing about them, they will create false information just to drag you down. This kind of unethical mindset and activity is always played by the people who have greater insecurities than faith in themselves. So, if you’ve experienced this, kindly ignore them, let their salivary glands die in the drought of too much gossiping about you; just think that they are just insecure because they cannot do what you have achieved. Let them know you’re not affected by their lies; just go on with your goal and achieve them, let yourself feel proud, and do not drown yourself in their insecurities. Sometimes, the people with whom you are related are the ones that will discourage you and will hinder your success. Your family’s pessimism will always pull you down and in rare cases, they might also start to disown you for being such a headache. It’s disappointing on your part that the people you think you can rely on and support you will be the first to discourage you. Remember this, our environment is full of pessimistic and insecure people, these individuals will always bully you either physically, mentally, or emotionally, they will always drag you down and it is not advisable to listen to them, ignore them, and stay away from them be it your own family or not so long as they will not do you good, you should get yourself away from them but don’t forget everything they said to you, or everything they have done to you but rather keep it all in your mind not to think about living in despair because of these negative experiences but to utilize these as a tool and inspiration towards your success. Now, when you have finally reached your goal, your dream. When finally, you can buy everything you want. When you have already ensured your family’s future. When you already acquired a decent and elegant house and lot, when you have acquired luxury cars, when you have already established a fine and strong business, and when you can finally get to help others to achieve their own goals in life let the world knows about it, because you don’t have to hurt them just to pay back for belittling, bullying, gossiping, cursing, and humiliating you. You don’t have to curse them back, you don’t need to hurt them physically, ***because the greatest revenge that you can throw on these kinds of people, is your success.*** For those who think you can’t do it and you’ll just end up falling from high above, for those who are insecure enough to cause you trouble and continuously pull you down, don’t pity them because they don’t deserve it, pray for them and hope that God may shed light to them. So, go on and don’t let them consume you but rather let them laugh at their nonsense source of joy then use their pessimistic mindset so to achieve your goal. With that, I’ll lend you my prayer for your success!
“Anak”: My Child The Philippines is said to be one of the most hospitable countries in the world. Our hospitality is innate and does not exclusively express to Filipinos only but rather to all raises as well. Perhaps one of the best examples I can give to you was the time when we accept Russians who came from China and escaped the communist rule of their country. These Russians settled in the Philippines and were warmly welcomed by the Filipinos living near their settlement. Fact that Filipino culture ties with strong family bonds, it is normal to witness the so-called extended family. While other countries tend to send their children and look for work then live their own lives from the age of 15 to 18, Filipinos can live together with their parents despite having their own kids. I honestly don’t know if there was a connection between the saying “*the more the merrier”* and the Filipino culture of having extended family. **Anak** Remember the song Anak? The song was composed and sung by Freddie Aguilar. The song itself tells the story of a kid who was raised and loved by his parents but as soon as he grows up, the child deviates from his path and ended taking illegal drugs then when he finally realizes what he had done, it was all too late and the only thing he can feel is regret. The song generated hundreds of covers and was released in 56 countries and was translated into 27 different languages “*Anak”* is “My child” in its English equivalent. This word is well used in the Philippines for it’s not just being used to call for your own kid but rather to anyone who’s younger than you. I still remember one TV commercial when a foreigner visited the Philippines and went to explore some of the country’s natural beauty, the lady tour guide was at least a mother figure to the foreigner and gently guided the tourist to the destination when finally she called him “Anak” then she explained the meaning of the word to him. The word itself is special in any way since the lady treated the tourist as her own child despite knowing him just a few hours. Teachers also use this word when speaking to their students because they treat their students as their own. As you’ve noticed Filipinos spread the love and treat anyone nice even calling someone their child that is how hospitable and loveable Filipinos are, but of course, not all Filipinos have this kind of hospitality sometimes it depends on your behavior and your vibes towards them if you’re bossy or irritant you may not experience the warm welcome of the Filipinos. If you want to come and visit the Philippines, make sure you bring not only money with you but you should also bring good vibes and plenty of smiles because even if you came to the Philippines without a single penny you might still get someplace to sleep and foods to eat. After all, there are a bunch of Filipino good Samaritans out there. Thank you for lending your time reading this journal, have a great day!
I minted my first 3 NFT God's Unchained cards I started playing “Gods Unchained” Last year, although it is still on the beta test, the graphics and the way of earning were good but similar to other NFT games that run through the Ethereum blockchain, the gas fees charged for every transaction are too high plus players don’t have true ownership of the NFT’s they earned from minting and grinding. On the good side, though it was a little bit disappointing for those who can’t afford large fees like me, players can still play the game for free and the developers truly are serious about updating and developing the game up to the point that they moved to immutable X so that players can trade their NFT’s without worrying too much about the gas fee. The good news doesn’t end there because, by the last quarter of 2021, the developers introduced the events that will grant players lots of pack rewards and $Gods token. These events are the following: · ***Retrospective Flux Rewards –*** this event happened last October 26, 2021, where the resources you earned from the “*Gauntlet of the Gods”* were snapshotted. Your $Gods token rewards depend on the resources you collected while the forge was still closed due to game integration to immutable X. here, yours truly had also received rewards which I don’t want to brag about how much I received. · ***Blessings of the Gods*** *–* this event lasted for 8 weeks at most, the goal is to play ranked games 20 or more each week by which 7 of the total required games must result in wins and it must take 4 rounds for each game to be qualified. Players who are ranked lower than purified iron are not qualified for this event. Sadly, my computer shattered and I just recently repaired it so I was late for this event and didn’t get any rewards. · ***Weekend Ranked –*** the latest event is the weekend rank wherein you need to participate in rank games during weekends ( Friday – Monday) so to accumulate or earn card packs and $Gods tokens, your rewards depend upon your wins during the first 25 games over the amount of the total players participated during the event. I’m yet to receive my rewards last week since it needs 7 days after each weekend event ends. for more information, you can just visit the Gods Unchained website! https://godsunchained.com/ **My first 3 minted NFT in Gods Unchained** Thanks to these remarkable events, I accumulated enough $Gods and flux needed to forge my own NFT cards and as of today, I’ve already listed them for sale on immutable X. It was a great experience because, for the first time, I have minted NFT’s without costing me a single coin. The NFTs I have successfully forged are the following · *The Hunt* · *Ares runeblade* · *Burnished Bull* I hope that these NFTs will be sold soon, I also marked them at the lowest possible prices so that the turnover will not be long enough. ***Note:*** *The price of $Gods token as of this moment is $1.48 or roughly PHP 76.96, this conversion might change from time to time depending on the market.*
Forms and Types of businesses: Discussed The number of people who want to try and take the risk of putting up a business is increasing especially in times of pandemics. Although this is good news because it creates more job opportunities for others who can’t engage themselves in business. Moreover, this can also help to increase the country’s economy but the fact that businesses are risky and somewhat difficult to manage more especially nowadays where there are already established companies in the same industries that someone might want to create a business with. The best way to overcome obstacles and soon become a successful businessman/woman is to simply acquire knowledge about the business world. It might take you some time to understand everything about business but knowing the basics is the only thing you need, you can just learn the rest through experiences. For this article, I would like to tackle the forms and types of business. You might be wondering why some well-established companies have the surname “*corp.”* or *“inc.”* these surnames will be discussed later. ***Types of business*** Although businesses have a common goal: to generate and earn a profit, we should still identify the differences between their types so that it would be easy for us to start one in the future. The following are the three types of business; please note that in some journals these are also called “*types of business according to activities”* · **Service business -** this type of business offers services to generate income. It utilizes human resources to provide intangible products/services to customers such as barbershops, salons, spas, etc. The advantage of service type of business is that we don’t need to account for inventories, and the owner doesn’t need to have a large place or area to start this type of business. However, regular training of human resources and monitoring of their performance is a must, motivation and regular compensation for motivation of your employees are needed so the business becomes more productive, and this might lead to the further acquisition of costs and affect your profit. · **Merchandising business –** examples of this type are supermarkets, grocery stores, convenience stores, and sari-sari stores. While service businesses utilize intangible products, this type uses tangible products usually bought from suppliers and resell with markup to the consumers. · **Manufacturing business –** manufacturing businesses buy products that will be used as raw materials to produce new products. For instance, AB-Pea Company is a company that produces or manufactures peanut butter. The company’s raw materials are peanuts and other ingredients that are essential in making the butter. In addition, Labor cost, and overhead cost including facility cost are included in the computation of the total cost so that the owner can decide on the price without acquiring loss. To put it simply, think about a vendor who makes banana chips. The vendor transforms raw bananas into chips and sells them. This is what you call manufacturing because you processed the products into a new one. **Forms of business and the advantages/disadvantages of each form** *Note that in other journals it is also called “forms of business according to ownership”* **Sole proprietorship** · A sole proprietorship is a form of business that has only one single owner. The advantage of being a sole proprietor is that the owner owns all the decisions within the company, establishing or creating such a business form is also easy so long as you can fund your idea and have the available market you can already create one simple business. Lastly, since you own the business, you also own all the profits. However, since you’re the only owner of the company you’ll have a limited source of funds it would also be difficult to loan because of the high possibility of bankruptcy. Also, all of the liabilities will be shouldered by the owner up to the extent of his/her personal assets. **Partnership** · Unlike a sole proprietorship, a partnership has multiple owners thus the availability of funds is now an advantage, it is also easy to create so long as contracts between partners are settled including the share or percentage in profit or loss, and of course, management and control will be easy for owners can divide the responsibilities. On the contrary, the settlement of liabilities is extendable up to the owners’ personal assets. Disputes between partners’ decisions might also be a problem. Another thing is that if a partner leaves or dies the partnership can be easily dissolute and soon liquidate. **Corporation** · A corporation is composed of a group of owners’ “stakeholders”. Unlike the other forms, a corporation is being created separately thus having a separate legal entity and is only created by the intervention of law, because of this the shareholders can only be sued for liabilities up until their shares only and not extending up to their personal assets. They can also enjoy multiple sources of funds. Here, the decisions imposed are based on votes meaning one share is equal to one vote, if you owned the majority of shares then you have a say but if not then sorry for you. *Note that a corporation is a complex topic thus I can’t fully explain this to you in a single article.* Now for the question of whether there is a difference between “incorporated (Inc.)” and “corporation (Corp.)”, the answer is, they are just the same both of them are just a representation that a company is a separate legal entity, although we have to remember that we cannot use either of these surnames interchangeably thus we cannot say “San Miguel Inc.” or “JF Inc.”
Will the war affects the crypto market? The Russia- Ukraine war is continuously raging on leaving hundreds if not thousands of casualties. The conflict affects not only the countryside of both warring countries but the whole world in particular. As I’ve mentioned in my previous articles the Russia-Ukraine war significantly disturbed the international trade or the world market which include the dramatic price hike of oil, natural gas, and other products, this is because both countries are one of the major providers of some products, especially Russia. Due to the continuous assault of Russia against Ukraine, western countries imposed their sanctions against the country which include the withdrawal of the biggest and most popular businesses such as McDonald’s, Ikea, H&M, etc. Companies that provide mechanical products such as airplanes, spacecraft, and many other companies also announced the closing of operation in response to the western sanctions. This article will tackle the effect of the war on the ever-volatile cryptocurrency. Bitcoin (BTC) initially drop down since the invasion began but according to the article made by Wilson, and Howcroft published 20 days ago, Bitcoin, Binance coin, ripple, and ether significantly fall due to the invasion of Russia of Ukraine. Moreover, the article also shows that Bitcoin slides down because investors get rid of the riskier assets that slumped by as much as 8%. Additionally, Gailey A. in her article says that Bitcoin dropped below $35,000 and Ethereum fell below $2,400 as Russia invade Ukraine, furthermore, experts say that “as the war continues, volatility in global financial markets including cryptocurrency is sure to follow”, Doug Boneparth also says that war will cause a tremendous amount of volatility regardless of the assets’ class. https://www.reuters.com/technology/cryptocurrencies-time-war-2022-03-04/ **Can Cryptocurrency help Russia win the war?** There are over 17.3 million Russian who owns cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency is also the fifth most popular investment vehicle in Russia. To answer the question of whether the digital currency can help Russia win the war, in my point of view, yes it can. In reality, both warring countries are encouraging donations to fund their causes by means of cryptocurrency (Ticha, V). The presence of blockchain technology might also aid Russia to bypass the international sanctions and circulate money without any trace since digital assets are decentralized and cannot be controlled by the government because of this reason, Ukrainian vice-Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov suggest and asked to block all the blockchain addresses of Russian users as countermeasures for the possibility of using digital currency to fund Russia’s invasion. However, considering a large number of crypto investors from Russia it is difficult for some crypto exchanges to ban these investors. Being said, I think if the crypto exchanges do ban Russia then it will significantly affect the market leading to a dramatic fall down. https://newsroom.unsw.edu.au/news/business-law/crypto-wars-can-russia-use-blockchain-get-around-sanctions In reality, controlling Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is possible through targeting its economic stability but we are not so dumped to omit the presence of digital assets especially when a country like Russia who’s more than 11% of the population is using digital assets. However, the fact that digital assets are decentralized and some of the owners are anonymous not to mention the difficulty to trace transactions, the plan of weakening Russia’s economic stability will only push them to use crypto to fund their causes without fail. In the end, it is the minor or small investors who will be affected the most. Traders are excluded since they don’t hold assets for long.
