Definition:
Physical therapists are movement experts we improve quality of life through prescribed exercise and treatment, hands-on care, and patient education. Our job is to restore or return our patients functions as much as possible on a given number of sessions.
Physical therapists diagnose and treat individuals of all ages, from newborns to people at the end of life. Doctors do diagnose patients cases but we Physical Therapist as we assess our patient sometimes Doctors misdiagnosed patients case. So Physical Therapist assess and diagnosed patient with reliable and valid assessments. Many patients have injuries, disabilities, or other health conditions that need treatment. But PTs also care for people who simply want to become healthier and to prevent future problems.
Physical therapists examine each person and then develops a treatment plan especially exercises to improve their ability to move, reduce or manage pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
We Physical Therapist sometimes misunderstood our courses due to direct contact to our patient. Others called us Massage Therapist, which is wrong because we study massage in less than an hour. Physical Therapist uses modalities like electical stimulator, ultrasound, laser, shockwave, and traction. But what do we really suggest to most of our patient is exercises that they can perform at their own house.
Physical therapists, help injured or ill patients improve their functions that was loss or diminish. We are often an important part of rehabilitation, treatment, and prevention of progression of patients conditions.
