There is nothing to say about the dreams and dignity of the subjugated nation. That is why no nation wants to be subjugated. At a time when the subjugated nation was being oppressed and deprived, a fighting spirit was born in it. And it is this fighting spirit that inspires people to achieve freedom as a path to political, cultural and economic liberation. We are Bengalis living in Bangladesh.

But this country was once subjugated. We were citizens of the subjugated country. We have achieved independence through a bloody war of liberation that lasted for nine long months. Today we are citizens of an independent and sovereign country. In the world court we are known as brave Bengalis. So the war of liberation is an unforgettable chapter in our national life.

The war of liberation is primarily a struggle for the liberation or independence of a nation or group. This fight could be to overthrow a colonial power or to overthrow a dictator or dictator. This war is not like a regular or ordinary war between two forces, its scope is wide.

A closer look at the English and Bengali dictionaries for the definition of the War of Liberation reveals a much broader definition. Among these definitions there is a general hypothesis called ‘liberation’. In fact, if the issue of 'liberation' is clear, then the issue of war is also clear for him.

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has Declared independence

On behalf of our great national leader, supreme commander of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman do hereby proclaim the independence of Bangladesh. It is further proclaimed that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is sole leader of elected representatives of 75 million people of Bangladesh. I therefore appeal on behalf of our great leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to the government of all democratic countries of the world specially big world part and neighboring countries to take effective steps to stop immediately.

The awful genocide that has been carried on by the army of occupation from Pakistan. The legally elected representatives of the majority of the people as repressionist, it is cruel joke and contradiction in terms which should be fool none. The guiding principle of a new step will be first neutrality, second peace and third friendship to all and anonymity to none. ─ May Allah help us, Jai Bangla.

Those who once dreamed of an independent Bangladesh, who dreamed of an exploitation-free Bangladesh and inspired the Bengali nation to walk the thorny path of the liberation struggle by spreading obsession in the dream, are no more today. Today, their dreams and ideals have vanished into the quicksand of self-interest and love.

Even after four decades of independence, our fortunes have not improved. Even then, Bangladesh will be established in the heart of the world as a happy and prosperous country by removing all failures and filth - this is the wish of all. Even today the people of Bengal are dreaming of a new dawn, a new awakening, a new sun.
