Work Not Just Wait

To achieve something in life requires effort, perseverance and patience, as we can't have anything we want just by waiting for it to come.

Waiting for something to happen could not assure us with positive results. Not all that we want are meant for us, what more if we are just waiting and not actually working for it to happen.

In real sense, this idea may not apply to all instances. Just a disclaimer, don't take it in a way that you're going to apply it in finding your life partner, that you will keep on chasing love rather than waiting for your "the one" to come. That's not what I mean, after all.

Maybe, it could be applied in courting stages only, but not in a sense that you are forcing someone to love you because you want to work it out to have a love life even if the one you're chasing doesn't love you at all.

Going back, we have this quote that we usually heard or read somewhere saying that "good things come to those who wait, but better things come to those who work for it". Maybe, you are familiar with this quote and after knowing it, you began to realize that working for things to happen will have a more satisfying results than just waiting for something good to happen.

Those who persevere and exerts too much effort to achieve their goals are those who become nearer to better results. As they choose to work on things they want, they are becoming more strong and blessed enough to be successful in the near future. Their future life is more brighter than those who are not working at all on their dreams.

On the other hand, sometimes, we are mistakenly thinking that a person who is fond of waiting are those who have longer patience. That's a confusing statement, and it's half truth.

Not all people who wait are actually patient enough. Some of them are just lazy beings who are not trying to exert effort on something they want to achieve, then might complain later on about their dull life though it's their fault in the first place.

I am not generalizing here, but some people really have this kind of attitude especially in this time of pandemic (or even before when everything's still normal).

Some are just depending on the money they can get from the government and not actually working to sustain their daily needs. Instead of finding a job, they are living an easy life because they are just waiting for an "ayuda" or an "assistance" (mostly in cash or goods) coming from the government or private individuals, and when they received nothing, or when they are not chosen to be a beneficiary, they will resort to complaining.

Again, I am not saying that all of the beneficiaries of the assistance coming from the government are lazy, it's just that, some of them are very dependent already and doesn't work to earn money.

All of the successful people in this world will never be in their current state if they didn't persevere. All of them worked hard to achieve success and doesn't wait for it to happen in an instant.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

Life is not about depending on our fate, but rather working to make things happen. Though, not all that we want can be achieved, but we will still have higher chance to reach our goals without any regrets, win or lose.

To reach our dreams and goals in life requires dedication and perseverance, and not merely waiting in a corner without taking an action at all.

Remember, those who succeed are not waiting for good things to come, they are rather working for better things to happen.
