Top things i have learnt over the past years.

7 77

I've learned a lot in life over the years; I've made mistakes and learned from them in order to improve myself; without mistakes, we wouldn't grow and improve on ourselves; instead, we'd keep doing the same mistakes over and over again.

Without further ado, let me share the most important lessons I've learned over the years, including my blunders, lessons, and so on.

Honesty.

The first thing I've learnt in the last few years is that being honest builds trust between two people, which leads to a great partnership.

This reminds me of our school motto, "honesty is the best policy." Being honest is the most important principle we must have in order to be trusted. Honesty can take you places you won't believe, but people have testimonies of how being honest has helped them advance in their careers.

Speaking the truth is a characteristic that we all need to possess; a truthful person will always be true to his or her words and will always win others' hearts.

Risk.

In order to be successful in life, we must be willing to take risks. There are numerous benefits to taking risks that would not be available if we did not take them. Some of the benefits include:

  • It's possible that an unexpected opportunity will arise.

  • You have the opportunity to make a difference in your life.

  • You'll discover information that you wouldn't have known otherwise.

To name a few advantages of taking risk, risk can lead us to unexpected opportunities and also cause us to lose everything we have. All we need to do is "risk what we can afford to lose" though we may be tempted to put everything we have into it, it's best we ask ourselves this question: "What if it doesn't work out well?"

Patience.

There is always a time for everything, a time to sow seed and a time to reap from what you sow. For example, if you sow maize in the garden and it normally takes 60 days to fully mature so we can enjoy it, but you were impatient and harvested it when it was only 20 days old, the result would be different. What I am trying to convey is that patience is a valuable virtue that we all need to possess.

Don't try to be someone else.

Always be yourself and don't strive to be someone else; live your life the way you want it to be lived and hope for the best; don't initiate others since you might lose your individuality.

Everyone is born with a distinct personality and a distinct purpose in life; attempting to be someone else would result in our losing our identity.

Forgive and forget.

I've learned to always have a heart of forgiveness for people, no matter what they've done to me. Forgiving others is simple, but we would lose trust in them. Let's just strive to have a heart of forgiveness because it's a positive attitude.

Make friends.

I am someone who enjoys having a large number of friends around me, individuals with whom I can talk and share my thoughts. I have made a lot of friends here and am glad I got to know you all. Life would be boring without friends since there would be no one to talk to and share your thoughts with.

In conclusion.

We've all learned a lot over the years, and you may share your own lessons with me, and I'll be happy to check them out and learn from them as well.

I've been here for 7 months, and it's incredible how far I've come; they say time flies. I'm grateful to my sponsors, readers, and everyone else for their unwavering support, which has allowed me to stay here till now; all I can say is thank you to my entire readcash family.

Ah...you mentioned honesty. I hope you can stop dribbling now. Honesty is indeed a virtue we all need to cultivate because it fosters bonds and bring great relationships our way. If someone can't even take our words for it, they would avoid us and warn others about us.

One of the reasons why I stay in the school hostel is because of the fact that I love making friends. I have been in situations in which I was saved by my friends. Situations in which I would have missed a test which would have affected my academics adversely. Also in life, we ought to take risks.
