Water from green coconuts can provide about one large glass of water to drink. Coconut water contains 94% water and very little fat, of course this is very different from coconut milk which contains 50% water and more fat.

The following are some of the benefits of coconut water that we can get
1. Potentially contains oxidants
Animal studies have shown that coconut water contains antioxidants that can help modify free radicals so they are no longer harmful to the body.
In one study, mice that were insulin resistant to a high-fructose diet were treated with coconut water. As a result, free radical activity decreased, including blood pressure, triglycerides, and insulin levels.
Coconut water also not only helps lower cholesterol markers, but also exhibits antioxidant potential.
2. Helps lower blood sugar for diabetics
The benefits of coconut water are also good for blood sugar. Research shows, coconut water can lower blood sugar levels in the animals studied. Another benefit of coconut water is that it is a good source of magnesium, which can improve insulin sensitivity and lower blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes.
3. Prevent kidney stones
Furthermore, the benefits of coconut water are as a prevention of kidney stones. Drinking enough fluids is important for the prevention of kidney stones.
While plain water is a good choice, two small studies suggest that coconut water may be even better. Kidney stones form when calcium, oxalate, and other compounds combine to form crystals in the urine.
These crystals can then form small stones. In a 2018 study involving eight people, researchers found that coconut water increased urination with its potassium, chloride, and citrate content in individuals without kidney stones, meaning coconut water can help flush out kidney stone-causing substances.
4. Heart health
The benefits of coconut water are also related to heart health. Drinking coconut water can help reduce the risk of heart disease.
A 2005 study suggests coconut water may also be beneficial for lowering blood pressure in individuals living with high blood pressure, but more research needs to be done.
5. Post-workout dehydration reliever
Coconut water may be the perfect drink to restore hydration and replenish electrolytes lost during exercise.
Electrolytes are minerals that play several important roles in the body, including maintaining fluid balance.
Some of the vital electrolytes include potassium, magnesium, sodium, and calcium.
Because coconut water contains electrolytes such as potassium and magnesium, some studies have found that coconut water may be more beneficial than water for relieving dehydration after exercise.
Those are some of the benefits that we get from coconut water. With the benefits as described above, there is nothing wrong with consuming coconut water after exercise. It would be nice after morning exercise, coconut water will feel fresher.
