Language Movement took
place. This day reminds us
the struggle and sacrifice
of the heroic sons of our
nation. They sacrificed
their lives with a view to
establishing our mother
tongue as a state
language. They protected
our mother tongue in
exchange of their blood.

freedom to speak in our
mother tongue. Salam,
Barkat, Rafique, Shafiq and
many others were the
heroes of this day. Their

recognition. UNESCO has
recognized the
21stFebruary as the
International Mother
Language Day to honour
