The history of "Avon" can be traced back to 1886, when David McConnell, a door-to-door bookseller, gave his customers, women, a sample of perfume.
Known as "The California Perfume Company", the business progressed rapidly and Mr. McConnell hired the first Avon Lady: Mrs. Albi, a true pioneer in this business. At a time when women did not have the right to vote, Ms. Albi developed a unique sales method that is still used by Avon Ladies around the world.
David McConnell wanted his company to become known around the world, so he decided to change its name. During his visit to England, he was touched by the similarity of nature that surrounded his laboratory in Suffern and the city of Stratford on the River Avon, the birthplace of his favorite writer W. Shakespeare. The California Perfume Company has officially become Avon products Inc. 1939.

I have been working for Avon long time ago. But now there are so many people who sell cosmetics from them that it is hard to sell something
