I just had a short chat with Anavannana and told her to create a specific community. thinking about it, I wanted to throw in this suggestion:

What about 'private' communities? These are not strictly private, but do not appear in the users timelines, unless they haven't actively joined.

If I for example want to invite let's say a team I tutor as an artist, to publish their art in my private group, people could still look it up or join, but readers in the general community won't see those posts pop up in their timeline. Point rewards could be the same, as far as I can tell or maybe reduced because of the slightly reduced visibility these communities offer.

If this community then wishes to publicize maybe some of the articles, they can flip the switch to public on specific articles, which then can appear as normal on the user's timeline.

I think with shortposts and especially so many groups of young people, who seemingly know each other personally, it might be useful to give some space for social media communication in dedicated communities. BTW. being able to post meme-format pictures in shortposts would be pretty cool, too!

@Read.Cash @Moderators, what do you all think?

It is quite good. What I would tell you is to find a good topic, that really attracts people. Maybe some knowledge, that you know most people don't know about. Or something about your immediate environment. The natural sights or tourist attractions where you are. And what I would say as well is that you should start with an introductory paragraph. Your article starts running straight into the topic, I think it would be better if you made clear in a few sentences what the reader is going to read. You know what I mean? Something like: "In this article I am going to talk about' or something like that. I hope that helps. Good luck!

oh wait, this is already how communities work, right? hmmm... MAybe they should not appear, even though you have joined. But you can directly access them via a 'private' tab in communities, for private communities you joined.
