Religion has been teaching love.
However, the idea of loving has become selective. People only love those that are lovable base on their judgment. Thus, it creates divisions. Those who are lovable are loving one another and are hating those unlovables. And those who seem unlovable are caring for themselves without any hope of being loved.
This is not the concept of love that the Holy One wants us to have. To love is to dispel those characters that divide and discriminate. To love is to accept the flaws of others with the hope that they can be corrected. To love is to help others build themselves up so that they can become the person we want them to be. To love is to agree with one another that anything visible to the eyes is made perfect by the Creator. To love is to uphold justice and pursue the correction of whoever does evil against one another. To love is to value the sanctity of life making it possible to change if needed.
Let us live in love.
