Sharp Knives & the Kitchen -

I've often asked myself the question and even looked up from numerous sites about when is appropriate or if there is some other recommended age, etc. when kids should start helping out more in the kitchen.

Maybe "should" is the wrong word. Basically, the kids are both asking to help more and more whether it comes down to making guacamole or cutting strawberries. I figured with the boy scouting experience and few other things with pocket knifes that with supervision, there's no time like the present to start learning.

This is just one example of numerous activities that will enter the stage in the days, weeks, months and years to come. Supervise where needed and support to grow into their own personalities.

Such an exciting time to be a part of it.
