Blue Lake, Tongariro crossing, New Zealand 🇳🇿

Just past the emerald lakes, you are met with another beautiful body of water. This one isn’t quite as striking as the emeralds, but still the colour and landscape make it just as stunning!

Again, no swimming here. It has some level of acidity due to the volcanic nature, but it’s a protected national park. The Iwi (Maori tribe who owns the land) have given us permission to hike this amazing place, but not to disturb the land at all.
