Why so many children: Respiratory hyper-responsiveness is thought to be the most common cause of asthma in children. In fact, children are much less immune than adults. Therefore, they are more prone to colds due to recurrent respiratory tract infections. In some children, respiratory tract infections cause hyper irritability in the airways. As a result of this chronic inflammation, as soon as something enters the airways from outside, contractions begin, resulting in asthma. Symptoms: Many children often have a cold, i.e. runny nose and cough, especially at night. In fact, these symptoms are the first signs of asthma in young children. Later, however, other symptoms like those of adults also appear. For example, a squeaking sound like a flute in the chest, difficulty in breathing and exhaling, inability to breathe with full lungs.
