For me once only, it was a group project and just because of the 4 of us our 5th member also ended up getting a D- just because of a late submission

That is cruel mate. I would not do that to anybody. I remember my final project but both us were late

It was a bit cruel from our side. But he was the one who chose this team and let everything onto us at the very crucial moment lol.

The point i was making here is you should alteast give everything a try.
