Because the election for presidency in our country, the Philippines, us fast approaching and with all that is happening around us I realize something. The fate of the country depends highly on how the president make a move in every circumstances, how they react in every feud between other leaders, and how they cope with the distress inside their home land and international context.
We have seen leaders slitting each other's throat for a title of land, they are willing to gamble their countrymen's lives for their ideology. See, the blood that was being shed does not came from the president or the king, it from the people. The collateral damage involves children's distress, lost of lives, lost of living, and lost of future to the victims,
The psychological damage caused by war go down to generations. There will be wives who have lost their husbands, children who have lost their parents, and community who have lost their future. In just on wrong move of the country's leaders the damage is soul level deep.
I hope in every country you will have a leader who will put the country's well being first. I hope you will have a leader you value human lives over a title of land. I hope you will have a leader that will make good and neutral relationship with other leaders. Finally, I hope that your leader will prioritize your arm forces because its never the king, the president, or the prime minister that will be put in the front row of wars but it is our arm forces who will leave their family and shed blood to protect the country.
