Ooty, Tamilnadu, India On our way to a good friend's wedding we decided to plan our journey via Ooty (famous for its tea plantation). It's known as Nilgiris (blue mountains - flowers bloom once in twelve years that give it a bluish tinge appearance). There's no doubt why it's also titled 'queen of hill stations'. The pleasant temperature throughout the year and calming twilight left us feeling relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated. What we enjoyed the most was the steam engine toy train experience. The stunning views of hill tops covered in clouds and the view of dramatic black smoke will always be cherished. We also tried an old-fashioned pedal couple boating at the lake while enjoying the drizzling weather.
