BitGo Inc.,the leader in digital asset financial asset has secured a deal to store all digital coins confiscated by the US government. This was stated by US Marshals Service which is a type of law enforcement agency.
For many years, the department has been auctioning Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies confiscated from offenders. The value of the seized holdings has skyrocketed as Bitcoin'sprice has soared to new levels.
The Justice Department, of which the Marshals Service is a member,confiscated nearly 70k Bitcoins worth around $4 billion at current rates late last year.
The contract BitGo won is worth around $4 million, and the length of time it will last is unknown until now. Note that BitGo is one of the biggest digital asset custodians, having secured more than $25 billion in assets in February.
