Two cats is better than 1

You can adopt as many cats as you want, because giving one of them a home is positive. You can even have just one cat, the best thing is that you can provide it with a good quality of life.

But, today I come to tell you how much it would benefit you to have two cats at home.

Misu and Gatina.

A little history...

Misu was the first to arrive home. With him I learned how to properly care for cats. He grew up alone, surrounded by humans and 2 dogs. So part of his behavior is based on that.

A year later Gatina arrived. And later, she had children, so there were now 6 cats in the house. While a few weeks ago a new member arrived in our home, making a total of 7 cats.

I realized with Gatina's arrival that Misu changed a little. There was another cat, the same species as him, he played more, I saw him happier.

Playing with a human is not the same as having someone like them with whom they can share, and live endless adventures together.

Cats are very emotional animals.

People have a wrong view of cats, many think they are cold. I don't judge them, I understand. The love of a cat is something you must earn, as if it were the lottery.

And when they are stray cats it is not so simple. They come from a place where they are exposed to danger from other species, humans who have caused them harm, disease, hunger, and even death.

This is what happened with Gatina. It cost a lot that it will take our trust. She was always scared. She ate distrustfully. but with love, I manage to overcome it. She is still a little distrustful of people who come home. Cats are animals that keep these wounds inside.

She and Misu became great friends, they play, they sleep, they are happy. If one of them is not there, you notice how the other is missing.

Cats need company.

They are animals that require attention. They like affection, that you watch them play, and having you all to themselves. So I noticed that having a companion made Misu have more attention.

By then he was working outside the home, he spent the day without playing, unless mom and my sister played with him. Which is important, your mood can affect your health, because cats also suffer from diseases such as depression.

However, with the arrival of other cats at home, he now has someone to play with and spend time with.

The health of cats is quite noticeable, one of the signs is their fur, their smell, and their eyes. If you notice that something is not right, then you should observe carefully to find out the cause.

Misu was a little affected by being alone. So Gatina's sudden arrival was good for her health.

If your cat had kittens, keep one or two.

I kept 4 of 5 cats. I only managed to give one up for adoption. They were very small, and some people thought they were "ugly", that bothered me a lot, they are beautiful, affectionate, and sweet cats. They do not know what they lose!

While other people couldn't have cats because they didn't have the resources or the space. So now I have many cats. Of almost all colors.

Based on this I have been able to have interesting observations about this beautiful species.

And when cats do not separate their children, they grow very united. They play, sleep together as a swarm, eat together, and learn together.

This is quite important. It is a bit difficult to teach them because there are several of them. However, they somehow distribute the information to everyone.

It helped me a lot when they stopped breast milk to start eating solid food.

The first to eat were Carrot and Black. And with his example little by little Junior and Bear began to eat.

In addition to this, I have adopted a new cat, approximately 3 months old, who has done well living with others of his species.

This little one is receiving therapies on his hind legs so he can walk with them, because he came home with damage to them.

So the interaction with the other cats has helped him copy behaviors, such as cleaning himself, trying to walk, attacking playfully, and others.

If you are going to adopt another cat, don't think about it.

Adopting animals is a responsibility, and if you can adopt two you would be changing the life of someone who will not stop giving you the best of themselves.

I feel that we as humans are the lucky ones to have beings like them in this world.

So, adopt a cat. Or, two.
