Russia Will Not Buy BTC But Other Crypto

Any time sanctions, bans, or bad news appear are always good news for crypto.

These spasmodic moves by governments, be it China, Russia in the past, and maybe USA or EU in the future, will only further strenthen the core of the blockchains.

Up until lately crypto became a hot investment but the numbers of users did not change together with the new investors.

They all bought in exchanges for investing, but not really understood what they could do with these investments.

If Russia turns to crypto massively then we wil see a crypto war.

Crypto is neutral but there are forces trying to present it as the force that creates all evil in the world today. This was like that with Bitcoin until a point.

Back when Bitcoin wasn't infiltrated by bankers. before RBF was added at the wishes of the banksters and before Adam Back announced his arrival, or before the Theymos accounts passed hands and controlled by government agencies.

Bitcoin Cash meets today the same opposition Bitcoin was back in these days, the exact same arguments that it is dead and won't perform, the lies about lack of security and decentralization and the lies about not being used by anyone.

This was the same with Bitcoin pre-2013, and if anyone from these days reads this, I will be glad to verify, but I still know this is like that from everything I read back in these days.

Maybe one comedian bankster was against Bitcoin for a long time, but probably because he missed out the fact that BTC is today a Banker Coin.

If Russia turns to crypto, this will not be BTC. It could be a small part in BTC but most of the portfolio it will create will be other coins.

BTC is gathered today at the hands of governments, banks, Grayscale, some are lost, and some are held by whales that will not sell all their stack.

Russia will not make a mistake to tries to buy just BTC with a hundred billion dollars worth of Rubble as this will be stupid. It will have to slowly buy many crypto other than BTC, those that are decentralized, and those that have sound money characteristics, that can't be seized and have secure blockchain networks.

One I can think is Bitcoin Cash, and another one Ethereum.

Take this notice, please, I am against all wars, and against invasions. I am not neutral in this war and have taken the side of Ukraine, but this is not about the war itself.

Most cryptocurrencies are neutral, as they are not created to take sides in a war. They have a certain purpose to present monetary freedom.

Crypto can and is used by criminals. I don't like it either, but crypto is money. It doesn't make it easier to criminals as the news tell us. The paper cash was making it easier, this is why every kingpin was hoarding paper cash.

There are ways to bypass blockchain analysis and obfuscate transactions for security reasons of our funds, but there are always traces left behind, Monero or not. But it is not even the blockchain records that lead to arrests, there are countless mistakes that cyber criminals make and lead to their arrest.

Anyway, took too long with this, and out of topic, but this was felt it had to be explained. Russia has turned into crypto years ago. It seems it has access to funds stolen in the past from many exchanges between 2010 and 2013.

It is not enough to change anything when we discuss a trade balance yearly of 100 Billion. But other cryptocurrencies are enough to bypass sanctions.

If it takes an interest in buying more cryptocurrencies, better welcome an alt season nobody seen before.

BTC seems it has lost neutrality and will lose its place too.

Hi, thanks for asking. My reasoning is based on the accumulation of BTC by centralized forces like the BTC owned by Grayscale, the crypto exchanges like Coinbase and binance, the BTC that some countries hold and also those that belong to big whales. There is not enough for Russia to purchace from the remaining and if Russia tries to use BTC who will sell and why will they risk contact from agents the next morning? Is Saylor or any other whale taking this risk? Maybe the way I phrased it is not correct, because the network is decentralized and neutral, but I feel it will not work for the case of Russia to bypass these sanctions.

Humans always have a way of getting around things. It is up to us people what we want.

This is why I wrote it will be easier with other cryptocurrencies, but again I don't take sides in this war, I think it should have been avoided. We all pay the price now.
