Since when I was a young child, we have been taught how to be kind to everyone we meet and learn to be humble.
It is said that the people you meet on your way up might be the same people you meet on your way down
Life is full of ups and downs, no one really knows what the future holds for them.
The life you live and how well you relate with people determine how readily available they will be when you are in need or in time of trouble.
Here is a story of a young lady whose life was saved because of her kindness.
Kira is a young lady working as a nurse in a small hospital
Kira had an encounter with Daniel, a young guy who rushed his dying mother to the hospital.
Daniel had no money or anyone to run to for help when her mother's life was almost cut short.
The doctor said that daniel's mother can only be operated on when Daniel deposits the needed amount of money or paid directly to the hospital cashier.
Daniel who didn't have anyone to run to was frustrated and devastated. He wept all his heart out but none paid heed to his cries and pleading even when he promised to pay thereafter even if it meant borrowing.
When Kira saw how restless Daniel was with his dying mother, she offered up her monthly salary for Daniel's mother to be operated on and treated.
Daniel never forgot her kindness and he has been very thankful for what Kira did for him, though he promised to repay her kindness and pay her back the money but Kira refused and asked him not to worry about it.
After many years had passed, one day Kira was abducted by some group of men who wanted to harm her but on arriving at their hideout, one of the men who approached the abducted girl Kira was Daniel, the guy Kira helped some years back.
Daniel immediately recognized Kira and she was asked to be released because of the kindness she rendered some years back when she helped his mother
Kira was saved from bad treatments and that was because of the help she offered when someone was in need.
You never know what kindness can offer
For some, it has opened doors, opportunities, etc.
For others, it brought breakthroughs and lots more.
A single act of kindness coupled with humility can turn a person's life around.
I will pause and ask you all these questions;
Are you kind to people?
How well do you treat others and how well do you relate with the people around you and the people you meet?
If someone is in trouble or in need of help, how do you respond to them to be of help to them or lend a helping hand?
Whatever we do in life, we shouldn't always think too highly of ourselves. It doesn't matter the things we have in possession. We should remember to be kind to the people we meet because we don't know what tomorrow would bring.
Have a very lovely and blessed Sunday.
