New babies for art

Woooh! Ebooks are so addictive! I must block them tommorow. Hehe. Last night, I slept late because of the. Ebook that I was reading but didn't finish it. I don't want to waste money for it, or my more. Of my precious time so I guess I won't be reading it again.

Anyway, here are the new babies that I ordered online. It only cost 137 I guess, included the shipping fee. It came from China but the shipping fee was only 40 pesos, while some parcels that come from Luzon costs higher.

It took over a week from ordering before it arrived. I have learned the hard way to pay my parcels on that time of checking out, that way I will not have problems on paying when it will surprisingly arrive early. I bet many of the online shoppers experienced the same way of worrying.

The parcel was delivered even before I came to work, it already sat on the table, then I prepared to open it. I attempted to take video but it failed, I may have pressed the record button twice because when I looked at the gallery, this a recording for just only one second.

I was very happy about what I saw inside the parcel! I hope you can feel my excitement, haha. I am so much kilig when I saw it. The order was complete though I only ordered one each. I was really hoping to have my own pencil stump, I tried making it myself but failed. Another reason why I wanted the pencil stump is to study what it is made of and maybe copy from it, that way I will have my own pencil stump for a life time. Wouldn't be thta great? Here is what I found inside.

I never expected that the pencil stumps are this big and the kneadable eraser too. I can't wait to use them at that moment so I tried drawing and blending. I tried the eraser too, but before I could soil the whole eraser, I cut it and used only a small portion. I found it amazing because there are no peeling made from the paper. I imagine those things when one does not bath a week, it must have looked like a pencils peeling when one rubs onskin. Haha. Sorry for the disgusting thought.

So I did try it. And yesterday, I attempted to draw faces again. Finding where and what to do and how. I tried to remember it but maybe I'm not really good at remembering things. There are sometimes that I would like what I made but forget on how to do it again.

A close up on the tip of the sharpened white and brown pencil as well as the pencil stump. I loved the pencil stump because it made my blending easier because it has a sharp edge avoiding smudges on the drawing.

But when I tried the white pencil, it does not work. As what I expected it to be, I thought it could be used as highlights on my drawing specially the eyes' reflections on lights but it don't. It's hard to use can barely be seen on the paper, by the way, I am using a 20 GSM bondpaper but I guess it will work better on darker color papers. But I tell you the texture is like a chalk pressed and was made into pencil core.

The brown pencil is a bit softer than the white but doesn't work as good as my graphite pencils. It was said in the shop description that this white and brown pencils are charcoal type, I never had used charcoal pencils ever Since so I really cannot compare the two.

But anyway, I let the white and brown pencils alone, maybe I will be needing them someday, but for now, I am enjoying my pencil stumps.

These are my drawings using the pencil stump and kneadable eraser. I know they all look so creepy, I'm sorry for that. Haha this is all I can do for now and I am praying for improvements.

So those were my new babies for art, I have to go on black and white for now, maybe I have to wait to be good at making shapes before buying anything again so it will be all worth it. My eldest child is jot all. Eyes on drawing yet but I will be letting her an dthe younger kids see my works so thta they will get interested about it.
