Love gets tired too

A month after I gave birth to my third child, I came back to work. Then came December and we had to buy the Christmas prizes for the upcoming Christmas party. (this was before Covid and everyone is free to go anywhere without worrying and wearing facemask, oh how I miss those times)

After buying the prizes which are coffee cup, nailcutters for the majority of the group and rice cooker, heaters, juicers, and flashlights as major prizes, we went inside a mall's food area to have a snack. There we have a bread and juice. It was refreshing after standing in a very long queue for paying those what we bought.

But the manager had another plan, he asked investigated Irene, my co worker about her absences almost every Monday and all other days. She has problems with her husband who was said to be having another woman than her and is pregnant of their child. Her husband's ATM was on her but only has less than 2,000 pesos in it every payday.

I feel so sorry for her everytime she's not around and I will ask her sister in law and Jenny would said that she has gone to her husband after going out to work in the previous day. Irene was literally begging for love and attention at that time that she was not caring about her reputation and swallowed her pride just to win her husband back.

Irene gave birth to her third child August 2019, few months before the other girl gave birth to her son. Months before both gave birth, the mistress was even so arrogant that she came to Irene's house showing her bulging belly and telling Irene to let her husband go, much like what happens in telenovelas. Irene pulled her hair and pushed her to the canal until her husband took her back to thier house, they volumes up their music box and shoted at each other. The two pregnant women must be very funny and pitiful to look at. (I was no there when it happened but Irene's sister in law was there and she was working with us too.)

One day, when Irene's older children needed the PSA certified birth certificate, she forged he husband's signature and caught a PSA certified copy of his son on the other woman, pretty strong evidence for his cheating on her. She said she was willing to file a case for him but I bet she won't do it at all because she would feel. Sorry for the kids.

During the investigation, sure Irene had cried but was holding herself not to get carried away by her emotions. She revealed that it was not the very first time that her husband did it. There was a time, she was working as an OFW at that time, her husband brought the woman in thier home and was introduced to her daughter whom was still very innocent at that time. You see how cruel her husband is?

We all hoped for her to be strong for her kids.

Now, she has gone tired of loving her husband, she realised she has done so much already but he never ever appreciated her. The time for her begging for his love was over. His husband noticed her change and so he goes home every Sundays.

I never dare to aske Irene about her love life now, I just wait for her to open it to me, its personal and I respect her space. But one thing that I have learnt, love can grow tired as time passes by.

So when you have some one that loves you today, make sure to cherish them every moment and everyday. Don't make them beg for. Your attention and your love, as much as they would beg you for your time, much better give them your best before they are gone.
