The content below are basen onmy own understanding and experinces so if you think I am wrong, please do correct me.

Hello, my dear friend, @jento, and to all others who signed up for HIVE but gave up becasue it's way too complicated to sign in. I hope this will help you get started in HIVE. I had this hard time in HIVE too, no matter how my mentor taught me, well since I was only taught through messenger, I had a hard time following what she told me about. Plus at that time, things like this are so new to me and I was like having culture shock, char ang oa ko diba.

You have mentioned that you already downloaded your keys, I'll show you some of my screenshots on how I signed in on my husband's format account. But for others who are interested in signing up, you should sign up first, then don't ever forget to keep your keys just like you kept your 12 seed phrases on your wallet from read.cash.

Good thing I kept the keys with me and I kept several of it just incase one will get lost I still have some back up. I kept it on my phone's note pad but emailed it to my husband too, that way I can access them online. I did thst since the phone that I was using was from my workplace and anytime they need it, they will take it away from me.

Here goes...

Get to hivesigner

You can see Hivesigner option when you search peakD on your browser, don't worry, this will take you to hive too. Hivesigner is said to be the easiest way to sign in on your account.

Input your hive account name and enter one of your keys,

Do you have them, do you? I hope those will work. Don't get confused; your keys were labeled and give one of what was asked on the blank.

Make you hivesigner password

After inputting your account name and password, you might get confused about this popping up, it wants you to make your password in the "hivesigner" itself so that when you sign in again, this password will be used, and you can make your own password but they recommend something too, you chose. Then tap Authorize.

Tadaan! It will will lead you to your account!

Get to know Hive Better

Notice those three just below my user name? The one with a blue color is your "upvote mana" this is usually used especially whenyou like the content someone made. you can upvote for yourself too but that was discouraged.

The one on red is the "downvote mana"used for people who spam or some kind. But I don't usually use them.

The one in green color is the resource credits, They are like your energy and it is powered by your hive power.

These three will be replenished in every 24 hours so don't worry if you will run out of it. But if you want to do more transactions, powering up will be the key.

Hive transactions are limited with it so when you are still a newbie, use your mana to post an introductory post and use "introduction" as your first tag.

The rest of yout tag depends on what your content might be.

On the human icon, you will find the options

My blog

This consists of the posts that you reblogged. It's either you reblogged your own post or other people's posts.

All posts

This is where all your posts can be found, old and new.

Relpies

This is where your relpies on other people's post are found, and they are counted as posts too!

Wallet

And this is where you see your reward from your hardwork. Wallet conists of

  • Hive

This can be earned fropm making entires, and some sends HIVE token as a reward for a good content. And you power up from here.

  • Hive power

This is how peakD explains it

This is how ecency explains it

I guess it's called hive power for a reason, right? Influence is power nga naman lalo na dito sa Pilipinas, haha.

  • Hive Dollars

this is a token that is mostly earned by psoting too, it can easily be converted to HIVE to power up.

Dashboard

This is what a your dashboard looks like, everything you neesld is here but you can find this when clicking the human icon too, but I admit I don't use this much.

If you want to understand what HIve really is, you can tap that "ABOUT PEAKD" option and it will direct you on this.

The founders

If not for my exploration for today, di ko din to makikita, but it never occured to me who the foundres were but I'm still glad to know that they did not keep themselves hidden and anonymous.

Way back I was interested to know about the FAQs,

Let's get your feed fed up!

It's best to vicit teh communities first so your feed sill be fed up with the things you are interested in. It's up to you whether you like needleworks and crafts, DIY, gardening, health, music, arts , photography and many more! Just tap that three lines on the left side of the screen and the exlpore option will be seen.

Now let's get you to post

You can write a post when you are n your dashboard; just tap the "new post" icon and voila! you are ready to write.

Just like on read.cash, we have to fill in the title and the body and on the tags. But on hive, I use the communties as tag when I see them fit.

You can ignore the short preview description when you please.

Here's the best part, you can save it as draft for later use, or set a schedule on your post, or publish right away!

The end of your publoshe post will look like this: the heart indicates how many upvote you got, the gift is a tip, there is a comment counter and a reblog. On the right side is the value that you received for the post.

But unlike read.cash, you will still have to wait for 7 days before your reward will reflect on your wallet. Plus, half of it will go to the curators and half of it will be yours, so don't get discouraged when what reflected on your wallet is the amout you saw and expected. It will be divided into HBD and hive power too, that way, you account will be grow constantly and somethng is left for you to withdraw too!

On my exploration today, I have stumbled upon sometutorials on how to navigate on HIVE, and this might be helpful for you.

This would be all for now, I hope this will really help you getting started on HIVE. Enjoy!

Images used were screen shot from mine and my husband's hive account.

So you've been on hive all these while, that's wonderful! I joined last month and it's not been easy because of resource power and I don't feel like buying more hive to power up🤦
