Well hello beautiful ones! How is your day right now? Me, I am a little upset about things and that, it’s a little personal so I might not share it with you for now. So yeah, while I am a little disappointed and I want to divert this uneasiness I am feeling, why don’t we have some questions and answer portion again. **Would you rather** have telekinesis (the ability to move things with your mind) or telepathy (the ability to read minds)?
I would rather have both. Is it okay if I can have both of them? So if I really have to choose between the two, it’s the first one. I would like to have telekinesis. One of my favorite movie back when I was a kid was Matilda. It is a story about a young girl who has the ability of moving things using her mind, and I think it was really cool. She was able to defeat the antagonist in the movie using her power. On the other hand, having the ability to read minds feels like invading privacy. Though it can be useful for some investigative information, but I don’t think I can live with it. It might bothers me a lot.
**Would you rather** team up with Wonder Woman or Captain Marvel?
I am a marvel fan so I guess I would choose Captain Marvel. But when it comes to beauty well Gal Gadot has my vote. My boys and I watched Captain Marvel in the movie house back in 2019 and it was good. She is a badass heroine at the movie. Girl power for the win. Well both wonder woman and captain marvel are great, but like I said, my loyalty belongs to marvel.
**Would you rather** be forced to sing along or dance to every single song you hear?
I would definitely sing rather than dancing. I think I can sing with tune, maybe not that good but I can do it better than dancing. Unfortunately when God has poured out talents in dancing I was sleeping soundly, so I missed it out. I can’t even dance without proper guidance, ironically I love watching people dance. I actually admire people who is very good in dancing. Lisa of Blackpink is one of my fave because she really dances well.
**Would you rather** find true love today or win the lottery next year?
Of course for now I’d rather win the lottery. I think true love comes at right time and you don’t need to find it. It will come to you without notifications at all. While winning a lotto is very difficult. I remember watching an interview about a lotto winner, she says it took 20 years of betting in the lottery before she hit the jackpot. Why wait for 20 years, if I can have it next year. Finding your true love shouldn’t be a problem, because like I said, it will always get a way to come to you.
**Would you rather** lose your sight or your memories?
I would rather lose my memories than losing my sight. I believe I can make some new memories again and again without losing my sight. And besides what is the use of your memories if you can no longer enjoy the beautiful things around you.
**Would you rather** swim in a pool full of Nutella or a pool full of maple syrup?
Uh oh. Sweetness overload. If I have to choose one, I guess I can better swim in a pool full of maple syrup. If it’s nutella, I don’t think I can move an inch from it because it’s a lot thicker in texture than maple syrup. I might end up drowning in it too. I remember the scene from the movie “Charlie and the chocolate factory” where the boy who loves eating chocolate get drown in a chocolate swamp or was it a river.
**Would you rather** have a personal maid or a personal chef?
Well I would rather have a personal chef. I love eating and I guess it will be a great experience to try out my personal chef dishes. I can do all the the household chores though, so after a tiring day, a delicious meal would be a great reward. Isn’t it?

My all time favorite Korean Drama (Romcom Edition)
For all Korean drama fans out there, can you remember how many dramas have you watched? What is your favourite among those? As for me, I’ve been a korean drama lover since college days. It actually started with Meteor Garden which is a Taiwanese drama. The very famous F4 and the one and only Shancai which have been a phenomenon sensation in our country years back. Oh those were the days that I’ve been so crazy over Dao Ming Si and Shancai. I remember watching it many times up until now and I guess I’ll still be watching it as long as the episodes are available online. Right after Meteor Garden, korean dramas were introduced next. And that’s where my addiction began.
Speaking of dramas, let me share to you my all time favourite korean dramas of all time. This is romance comedy edition, because korean dramas has also a lot of genres. There is something in their story that really touched everyone’s heart, the reason why many love watching it. I know every kdrama fanatics can relate to this. Honestly guys, I can no longer recall how many wonderful series I have watched. All of them were good, and probably some of them are your favorites too. So without any further introduction, let’s start.
Coffee Prince
First on my list is Coffee Prince. I remember watching it in one of the tv network in our country which is dubbed in Tagalog way back in college. During that time there isn’t website available yet that offers the advance episodes of the series, that’s why I am hooked and been waiting for each episode every night.
The main leads are Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye. Han Kyul’s (Gong Yoo) grandmother has been setting up him in different blind dates. So when he meets Eun Chan (Yoon Eun Hye) which he mistaken for a guy he offered her to be a gay lover. The next episodes were super hilarious and of course Han Kyul is so handsome as usual. He was so funny thinking he had fallen in love with the same gender, without knowing Eun Chan was really a girl.
Full House
Another classic korean drama of all time, starring Song Hye Kyo and Rain. Ji Eun (Song Hye Kyo) lives in a house built by his father called “Full House” One day his two friends tricked her of winning a trip abroad, that’s where he meet Young Jae (Rain) who is a famous actor. When Song Hye Kyo goes back home, she discovered that her house has been sold to Young Jae. And then for some reasons, they agreed to live inside the house and got into a contract marriage in order for Young Jae to save his career. They were like cat and dog while living together until they started having affection for each other. I can’t stop laughing at their antics in every episodes, and who can ever forget the “three bear song” that Song Hye Kyo keeps on singing in the series.
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon
Do Bong Soon is the real queen. I think I never stopped laughing at every episodes of this series. Ok the story is about Bong Soon (Park Bo Young) who was born with super human strength which is passed only to the girl in their family. Ahn Min Hyuk (Park Hyung Sik) discovered it and offered her to work for him as his bodyguard, because someone is sending him threats. They solve it right away, but there has been kidnapping among young girls in Bong Soon village, and one of the target is her bestfriend. Gladly, Bong Soon our superhero is there to the rescue. This series includes a lot of actions at the same time full of comedy. Lastly the attractions between the two main leads is so cute.
My Love from the Star
My love from the star is probably one of the most successful series of all time. They have the best original soundtrack too. The story is about Do Min Joon (Kim Soo Hyun) an alien who landed on earth in the 16th century. Unfortunately he missed to return on his planet because he saves a little girl. That leaves him stranded on earth for another 4 centuries. Three months before he can finally returned again to his planet, he meet Cheon Song Yi (Jun Ji Hyun) a famous actress. And then the love story between an alien and a human begins.
Final Thoughts
This is just four of my favourite dramas to share for now. I will continue the list next time. Meanwhile, what I like most about korean dramas is that their story has full of twists in the end. You’ll definitely get hooked in every stories and well, the actors portrayal was also noticeable. I mean even the supporting roles acting is on the top. Another thing is that even though I cannot understand any single words from them, I can’t helped but to love them. Thanks to all the english subtitles. And hey watching all those series, makes me want to book a flight to Korea and see all those nice places included in every drama. But then, I realized I have an empty pocket so I guess I’ll just start rewatching all these dramas and imagine myself being with them.😅

Realizations in life this pandemic
It’s almost two years, and covid 19 is still around the corner. The things we used to do completely changed and we weren’t all prepared for that. It struck us, leave us hanging and clueless on what’s gonna happened next? Almost all of us were affected by this pandemic. When a positive case were confirmed in our country everyone got scared. As days goes by it keeps on going up until lockdowns were implemented nationwide.
Suddenly, a lot of countries are closing its boarders for new travellers most especially from those countries with higher cases. Some of the overseas workers were sent back home without any assurance of coming back to their former employees. It was a relief somehow, because they can be with their loved ones in this trying times.
Lucky are those who never lost their jobs and continued working at home because they still have the means to provide for their family’s needs. But it has been a struggle for those who lost their means of income. Many companies has shut down their business because of bankruptcy, most of them were the small and medium enterprises. It was a sad reality but what can we do, everyone has to get up and think of something that will help them survive the challenges this pandemic brought.
Gladly, we were known for being resilient at all times. No matter how strong the storm is, we can definitely overcome it. And during pandemic a lot of us did something in order to provide the needs of their family. Since it was really hard to look for jobs during that time, technology played a big part in helping most of us. That’s where online selling booms more. In all fairness, a lot of hardworking people gains from selling online.
Being resilient isn’t enough, this pandemic helped us realize things we should be doing even when there’s no pandemic. More like we should be aware of these things and never take it for granted.
Health is wealth. Do you believe that being healthy means being wealthy as well. This pandemic once again proves this. Mostly the one that has existed health conditions were the ones that suffered most due to some complications in their body. Unlike those who were healthy, even though they got infected they were able to surpassed it. This situation is like battle of the fittest which means only the strongest will survive.
Money doesn’t grow on trees. Another realizations I encountered during this pandemic is using our hard earned money wisely. My husband is working overseas so he earned a little higher than working here. But what most people don’t know is that, working abroad isn’t easy at all. It takes a lot of patience, homesickness, and determination if you want to be successful working outside the country. So you can’t blame them that whenever they went home, they spend their money on anything because they deserve it and thinking they can earned it again once they go back to work.
But this pandemic has changed it all. We have to make sure our money were spent on important things rather spending it on things we didn’t need. Some of us have been wise, taking risk of spending their last money to open an appropriate business so that they can still sustain their daily needs through it.
Family is everything. At the end of the day it is still your family that will be there for you through ups and down. Though not all, but this pandemic has exposed who will really help you in the end despite of having nothing. It’s sad that the people you expected to be with you suddenly is nowhere to be seen. But hey, trust your loved ones, because some of them may have left you hanging, but your family will stay the same and will never leave you until the end.
We don’t really know yet until when this pandemic is going to stay. I am sure a lot of us have every story to share on what they experienced during this trying times. They said that lessons in life are learned the hard way. Agree? I super agree with this one. Now that we are slowly opening up and maybe back in the normal ways, I hope everyone should take every lesson learned seriously. Let’s all be better in the coming days, months or even years. That if another phenomenon will come, we will all be prepare and know exactly what to do.

One fine Sunday afternoon
Hello everyone! Today is Sunday and it means it’s time to give thanks to the Lord for all the great things he has done for us everyday. Before pandemic started, every Sunday my boys and I goes to church nearby. And after the mass, we would go to a fastfood nearby to have our lunch. Right now, even though kids are allowed to go out, we don’t want to join the trend. Just today I checked the Department of Health data and it’s good to know that the cases is indeed going down. But again, we should never be complacent about this. With just a single negligence everyone will suffer again. So guys always follow the safety protocols. And soon we’ll be free from all of these restrictions and we can finally go back to our normal days.
Now that the kids are finally allowed to go out, I can see a lot of kids in some of establishments nearby. The last time I went to grocery store, kids were everywhere. I can’t blame the parents or the guardians because maybe these kids needs some diversion and I guess they really missed going out after a long period of time. But if you would asked me, I will never risk my kids health for now. So far my boys aren’t ready to go out yet because they’re also somehow aware of the covid infection.
But today we did go out, we had a little stroll around the village, since kids are no longer prohibited to go outside. Usually my kids enjoyed biking in the afternoon, unfortunately their bicycles were out of order. Their father isn’t here to fix it, so I guess we have to wait for him before they can use it again. So these past few days, out of boredom my two boys just enjoyed walking in the afternoon and today I joined them. We had a very nice weather today, from morning until the sun goes down. So I didn’t waste the time going out with the kids to stroll around our small village.
We’re supposed to have Yumi our dog to be with us, so she can go out too, unfortunately I can’t find her leash. Poor Yumi, don’t worry I’ll try to find it tomorrow, so you can join us next time. We started walking, and the first stop was the basketball court. Inside the court there is a small playground where kids could enjoy, sadly there was a note outside that says only vaccinated are allowed to go inside. Okay.
We continued walking and I was surprised because there’s a lot of newly renovated house. All of the houses in our village are townhouses. There’s no single detached unit here and the structure of the front house were all the same. But if you have extra money, of course you can easily have your house renovated. And I guess some of the homeowners here have a lot. (Sana all)
A few minutes more and we were done walking at every corner of the village. I told you this is just a small village that you can visit the whole area in less than 20 minutes. Before we go back to our house, we dropped by at the clubhouse, because according to some official they have decorated it with some christmas decorations. And next to the clubhouse is the swimming pool, sad to say it hasn’t been used since pandemic that is why the water already turned green.
Clubhouse is very near to our house, so we got home in no time. And while at the front gate we can hear our Yumi barking as if she was saying, where have you been? Don’t worry yumi, you can be with us next time. We got home just before the sun goes down. And later on the kids took a bath while I was preparing for our dinner.
And there you go, that’s how we spent our one fine Sunday afternoon today. We started living in our place way back in 2013. Since then it’s been a habit of my kids and I to walked along the neighborhood. They’re just a little boy then, but now they’ve grown up.

Is modular and online class effective?
And just like that, the first quarter of the academic year 2021-2022 is done. It’s been 8 weeks of everyday online classes, answering printed modules every week too, and lastly a series of summative tests. The question is, does module learning still worth it? Or do the students really learned from it?
As a parent of two, I’ve been hands on with my kids learning ever since they have started going to school. I didn’t have a hard time since I love teaching my kids. They actually learned how to read and write from me. I guess working as a teacher aide during my last year in college helped me a lot in handling children. Also, I adapted some of teaching techniques the teachers used in order for the students to learned in school that time. Since it was a preschool, a progressive one too, the kids aren’t force to learned unlike traditional school does.
There’s really a big different between a progressive learning and traditional learning. Both aim to teach children but in a very different way. But if I have to choose between the two I would choose the progressive learning than the traditional one. Only that it’s quite expensive enrolling kids in a progressive schools. I think OB Montessori offers the kind of learning for their students.
Progressive learning focus more on the students and how they can learn. There isn’t much competition in this kind of learning because the teachers taught their students base on their ability. And at the end of each quarter they don’t give grades to their students, instead they give assessments to them which they tackle to every parent.
But since we aren’t rich I would stick with the traditional learning. Obviously traditional learning focus on teacher and what they teach. Competition is very much present in this kind of learning, that’s why there is always ranking in every classroom. I guess most of us are very familiar with these kind of learning.
So going back to my main topic, for the past academic year and this year all adapted online class learning and modular learning. With all honesty I can say everyone struggled with these kind of set up. The parents or guardians, the teachers and most specially the learners or the students. In all fairness, every teachers were doing their best in order for their students can finished the school year without giving up or stopped in the middle of the school year.
Online classes is applicable only for those students who have stable internet connections, while for those who doesn’t have an access to internet, they can choose modular set up. Fortunately the Department of Education has acquired a free channel on tv, where they can watch the topics on the module for every grade level. This can help those students who can’t joined any online classes.
But is it worth it? Is it effective to kids nowadays?Base on my observation it isn’t. Mostly kids got tired easily with the loads of activities needed to be done every week. The interactions between teachers and the students is very limited too. And in every topic they only meet once a week so the interactions is not enough for the kids to learn. Thanks to the parents and guardians who are always there to the rescue.
I guess these kind of set up will only benefited those students who can afford to have a stable internet connection. I feel sorry for those who can’t because they have to self study in order to passed the grade level. Recently the news of face to face classes within the next school year is very much possible. They began vaccinating students ages 12 and above in preparation for the face to face classes. I am excited but a little scared at the same time. Will the vaccination really helps? I wish it will.
Two years is enough for online classes. The students deserve a better learning in order to be educated. And learning in school is very much effective than learning at home. They can focus more with their studies and without any distractions. And I guess teachers are more knowledgeable when it comes to teaching than parents or guardians who can only rely with mr. google and other search engines.

How I sell my handmade crafts online
Hey what’s up everyone? I hope everyone is doing good and having fun today. So for today’s article I would like to share to everyone how I manage to sell my handmade crafts online. And also to give you some glimpse on how you can sell items or products online. I am using shopee by the way. I don’t have enough space for my phone that’s why I didn’t download any e-commerce application aside from shopee. And I am more familiar using this application more than anything else. So for this particular article I will show you how I was able to earn extra money in selling my handmade crafts on shopee.
Adding Products
On your personal shopee account, go and click at the “my shop” which is located at the upper left corner of the application. Right after you click on it, you’ll see a new tab directing you to your shop where you can manage selling your items. There you’ll see where you can add a product or your items you want to sell.
After adding your products, you just have to wait for someone to purchase your items. You can also boost it for free at the maximum of 4 hours so that other people or users can see it.
Shipping an Order
What to do after someone put your items on their cart and confirmed their order? You just need to click “to ship” on your shop menu. You can see there all your confirmed orders and you can manage it by arranging the day of its pick up. You can choose the exact date on when you want your items to be pick up. Then packed your items very well so that when it reached your buyers, it is still in good condition and they could give you a high rating. Please make sure that the address you put in your pick up area is correct so that the rider wouldn’t have a hard time looking for your address.
Completing an Order
When your parcel has been picked up by the rider, all you need to do is to checked your shopee application for shipping updates. Usually with my experience it will only take 2 to 3 days before it could reached the buyer. And then after the buyer confirmed that he received his/her parcel, you’ll get the payment right away. It will be forwarded to your account in just a few days. And lastly there’s an option where you can also give ratings to your buyer.
So there you go, it’s an easy peasy right? Selling product or items online is not that hard to do. We just need to looked for items which can really attract our buyers. Usually they go for more affordable items and shops that offers free shipping. In my case, I sell my handmade crafts from felt cloth. And I only got a lot of inquiries during christmas season because of my handmade ornaments. One of the reason why I am busy last month. But now, I think I can rest for a while because I only received few inquiries in the last days. My income isn’t as big as the other big time shop, but it helps us a lot because it can cover some of our monthly bills. The rest of my earnings will be save for our future travel next year.
Closing Thoughts
This pandemic helps most of my countrymen by selling products online. A lot of us were affected by lockdowns and some even lost their respective jobs. At first we thought the lockdowns would just stay for a month, but we were all wrong because it last longer than that. All of our hard earned money were all spent up because our monthly income has stopped too. Selling my handmade crafts online save our Christmas last year. Because of it, we also settled our monthly bills on time and some of our earnings were spent on our daily needs. It only shows that God will always give us another way to provide for our needs.

Hey guys, today is my husband’s special day. Unfortunately there isn’t any celebration because he is on the other side of the earth. However, I cooked him his favorite spaghetti because he said he wanted a longer life and he loves spaghetti. And oh, I bought some pizza, yes pizza, my favorite pizza on my husband’s birthday is definitely a must. So since it’s my husband special day, I wrote a short acrostic poem for him. Actually, Anthony loves receiving love letters from me. Earlier I was looking at my old photo album which I gave to him on our 1st year anniversary as boyfriend and girlfriend. And on that album, I found some of my letters from years ago. As I was reading I feel embarrassed at my words.😁 Oh well, I was so young back then, maybe the reason I have said those kind of words. Well I am not going to share the letter anymore to you. Maybe next time or if I run out of topic to share.

The Edge of Tomorrow
Have you ever wished once in your life that you could turn back the hands of time or goes back to yesterday and correct the things you’ve done wrong? In reality this is very much impossible because we always have to face the consequences of our wrongdoings. The reason why we should always be careful in making decisions, so that we don’t end up regretful.
Last weekend the boys and I watched another movie, this time it’s a scifi movie where Tom Cruise is the main lead. The title of the movie is the same as the title of my article. So I guess my article for today will have some spoilers again. So if you haven’t watched this movie yet and you don’t want any spoilers you can now stop reading. However if you want to still continue, I would definitely appreciate it. Ok I will just give a brief summary of the movie and then give my final thoughts about it.
Live, Die, Repeat
The movie is about an alien invasion in Europe. They achieved their first victory at Verdun against this aliens called mimic using a mechsuits. Now they are planning another invasion in another country to fight this stubborn aliens. General Brigham orders our main lead Major Bill Cage to cover it, but he declined. Next thing he knew, he woke up in Heathrow airport where he was demoted into a private soldier and he is now under Sergeant Farell and joined the J squad. He was clueless about everything and find himself in a battle with these aliens. He was able to killed a mimic using a mine and died but the blood of this alien covered his body. The next scene was Bill Cage waking up again in the Heathrow airport meeting Sergeant Farell again. He tried to tell everyone about his situation but he was ignored. The loop continued for several times until he meet Rita Vrataski. She is the hero of the famous battle of Verdun, turns out she has the same ability the Bill Cage was experiencing. She went through many loops too in order to win the battle. She lost her ability because of blood transfusions that is why she warned Bill not to get wounded and avoid getting a blood transfusions or else his ability will be gone just like what happened to Rita.
Alpha and Omega
The reason why Bill Cage has this ability is because the blood of the alpha mimic was transferred to him on the first day he was killed. Now they have to find the omega and killed him so that the invasions of this mimic would end. So Bill Cage has to die so many times in order to start all over again to find out where the omega is hiding. But one day, he was wounded and unfortunate thing happened, he had a blood transfusions means his ability is gone. So he and Rita together with the J Squad planned out killing the omega as they finally found its location in Paris. Before Rita could’ve killed for the last time, she kissed Bill and then they fought with these aliens. Bill was able to killed the omega and before he died, the omega blood covered all over him. The next thing happened, Bill woke up wearing his major uniform. There is still an alien invasion only that they became weaker, probably because the omega has been killed. He was glad to know that all the people he met was alive most specially Rita. But it was only him who can recognize them all.
My Final Thoughts
Though the movie is quite impossible in real life, the lesson I’ve learned from the movie is never quit. Remember the famous Japanese quote “Fall 7 times, stand up 8” It only means, we should always keep going no matter how many times we fall. Stand up means, life must go on no matter how hard it could be and you’ll end up successful. Just like in the movie Bill Cage has to live, die and repeat. In order to win the battle he had to died all over again to find the real enemy. But all is worth, because they finally defeated the omega and the aliens didn’t succeeded in invading the world. You and I can do it too, we don’t need to die, but we can always try and repeat until it succeeds. With loads of determination and perseverance we can make all things happen.

What If Questions Answered
Today is another manic Monday. Another day where everyone is busy catching up with their email messages from their superiors. Well as for me, as a full time mother of two boys, my day starts waking up early in the morning to prepare our breakfast. And then waking up the kids, let them eat, and prepare themselves for their online classes. And after that I’ll be very busy for the whole day doing this and that. Sometimes I wonder, what if I didn’t quit my job, would I be doing the same thing as what I am doing right now? Just some clarification I didn’t regret my decision about it because I am very much contented with my life right now. But at the back of my mind, I have so much what ifs questions, that I encounter from time to time. So today I’ll answer some what ifs questions I found on the net. What if you could live perfectly well without sleeping, if you had no need to sleep at all, how would you spend all your nights?
Honestly I am the kind of person who loves to sleep. So this question is quite hard to answer. But I guess, I would rather choose living a hard life and have a good sleep, than having a perfect life but having a poor health. As we all know, lack of sleep can deteriorate our health. So its useless to have a perfect life if your body is not well. Let’s go back to the question, if that’s the case then, I would probably spend all nights watching netflix with some popcorn on the side. I am not fond of playing mobile games, I am really into movies and korean dramas. So yeah, if I get bored watching movies, I would open my youtube account and watch my favourite music videos from the past. So that is what I am going to do all night.
What if you had to choose between a wonderful relationship that would end only a year or a so-so relationship that would last your entire life. Which one would you choose?
I would choose the latter. Why? It’s because I believe in forever. Seriously speaking, when you decided to be in a relationship, it means you want to end up together forever, not unless you were just playing with him or her. And I think that even though you started from a not so romantic set up, I know that as time goes by you’ll end up getting to know each other, getting used with your status and eventually getting in love with each other. I guess that’s the reason why some arrange marriages end up successfully too.
What if you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what food would you choose and why?
I want pizza. I love pizza and I will definitely choose pizza with pepperoni on top and a lot of cheese. Need I say more. Although it isn’t really healthy but I think eating it will be enough for the rest of my life.
What if you could have a party and invite anyone (dead or alive) which people would you invite.
I would invite Whitney Houston. I was very shocked when I heard the news of her death few years ago. My mother is a fan of her, so I think she will be happy seeing her again, while she sings her all time hit songs. The party would be really great.
What if birds aren’t singing and they’re screaming because they are afraid of heights?
This is super hilarious question, oh well I’m kinda curious how their screams would sound. Because, sometimes when I wake up in the morning I can hear some birds chirping at our window, and I found it cute. So I guess I will not be annoyed with it, I would probably feel pity for them because of their fear of heights.
What if there are actually multiple souls in your body but you’re the most powerful one, and the voices you hear in your head are just the weaker souls talking to you?
I’ve actually watched a korean series about multiple personality disorder. It was from 2015 the title is “Kill me Heal me” the series is good, its a comedy but at the same time drama. You’ll end up laughing and crying too. The above question is almost identical to the character of the main lead actor of the drama. He heard voices, and he changed his personality from time to time because he can’t controlled it. So I guess if I can control these different souls inside my body, it will be fine and maybe I’ll just ignore all the voices that I am hearing.
What if instead of police dogs, there will be giant man sized police spiders?
It will be good and scary at the same time. For sure our country will be at peace, but I guess no one is going out to see those man sized spiders. Honestly I am afraid of big spiders, can we have spiderman instead.

Take me to the beach
A few days ago, as usual I was talking to my husband while we are on different timezone. It was already middle of the night in our country, while the sun was shining so bright at where he was. He had his day off finally after a week, since he was transferred to a new ship. And guess what he was on the beach, enjoying the white sand, and free food at the expense of their company. Well it was actually a private island of their company, a man made island for all their guests and crew as well. It is located in Bahamas. According to Anthony, the island wasn’t completed yet on his last visit, but now everything is done and I guess he enjoyed his day off. He sent me a lot of pictures, and I shared one on my noise account that day. I am happy because finally he was able to go out and enjoy the beach, but I get a little envy because I want to go to the beach too.
We’ve been deprived from so many things specially travelling to your favourite destination because of this pandemic. As for me I really wanted to take a break by spending a day on the seashore, appreciating the nature and enjoying the sound of the waves. Lucky are those who live near the beach because they can still go there anytime they want to. But for us living here in the Metro where beautiful beaches are nowhere to be seen it’s very frustrating. Our country is composed of many islands, around 7000 plus islands that’s why we have a lot of beautiful white beaches. But for now, let me share to you some of the famous beaches that most tourists visit within our country.
Boracay
I’ve been in Boracay three times already, but it was a very short visit only. My husband’s family were from Aklan and that’s where the famous island is located. So everytime we visit their family in Aklan, we make sure to dropped by at Boracay too even just for a day. Our last visit was in 2015 and that was a long time ago. Hopefully we can visit Aklan maybe in the next years to come, and I’d like to set my foot again on the finest white sand of Boracay after its rehabilitation. There are so many activities I want to try there, since the last time I’ve been there, I have two young kids that needs a lot of attention. Though I enjoyed the island, but I guess I would enjoy it more if I did some activities such as island hopping, banana boat riding and the parasailing. Those were the things that I missed and hopefully I can do it, on my next visit. When? I don’t know either.
Palawan
Palawan is also a home of many white beaches in our country. It was always my dream to be in this beautiful island one day. I have seen a lot of pictures from the net, from relatives who’ve been to this island and according to their stories, Palawan is one of the best. The place is also known for it’s beautiful scenery. Speaking of its picturesque view, I think Coron Island is the place to be.
Siargao
I’ve seen a lot of popular celebrities within our country enjoying Siargao. Since then, it became a popular destination even for an ordinary people like us. I remember my husband’s cousin and his wife now, had their wedding on this beach. I’ve seen the wedding picture and it was so nice. This couple had been travel buddies way before they settled down. And I believe they had a blast on their dream beach wedding.

Aside from it’s beautiful seashore, Siargao is famous too because of its great waves perfect for those people who loves surfing or even to those who wants to try surfing too. That’s the reason why I wanted to be at Siargao too. I don’t know anything about surfing but I think it’s fun.
Caramoan
One of the great beaches can also be found in Caramoan island in Camarines Sur. This island is the location for 26th season of the famous reality tv show “Survivor”. I think there’s a lot of beautiful beaches around the island but what I am curious about is the pink beach island. And Caramoan is just few hours away from my hometown province in Bicol so maybe if I have enough savings, we will probably go to it.
Closing Thoughts
We are lucky because our country is rich with nature’s beauty. What I’ve mentioned above was just four of the popular tourist destination within the country, but if you explore more, you’ll be surprised to see a lot of it. Some weren’t developed yet and I think it is much better if it stays that way to preserve it’s natural beauty. We should preserve it so that the next generations can still enjoy it.

A Decade of Happiness(a letter for my youngest child)
Dear Athan,
On November 5, 2011 around 10 in the evening I started to felt cramps on my stomach. I never thought it was time to give birth to you, because I still have a week base on my expected due date information. But the cramps and the pain continued to strike me. I didn’t waste anymore minute calling the attention of Tatay your grandfather. Anyway Daddy was working abroad that’s why he isn’t with us. I told him to bring me to the clinic where I planned to give birth to you, because you’re too eager to come out of my tummy. Without any questions, he started the engine of his car and we went to the clinic right away. I was holding on your Tito Renz arms that I think I’ve hurt him because I was squishing it too tight. While we were on the car, I was already in labor, this wasn’t new to me because this was the same feeling I’ve experienced while giving birth to your older brother. And I know exactly well what to expect in the next few minutes. The pain of labor will only goes away once you are taken out in my womb. Luckily it only takes 30 minutes of pain and you were out. You were so excited to come out and see the real world outside my womb.
And then just like that, we’ve celebrated your first month until you’ve turned up a year old. So many milestones, I’ve witnessed it all. From the day you started calling me mommy, I was the happiest mom ever, until you started crawling to get to me. You started slowly but then many days has passed you began standing on your own and finally walked on your own, without any help from us. I cried, when you were not feeling well, hoping I could take all the pain. I laughed out loud whenever you were laughing with a simple peek a boo. You like watching Maroon 5 “ moves like jagger” video, and whenever you heard it, you can’t stop yourself from moving your arms from left to right. Everybody in the house loves you, but you love me the most, because I am the source of your energy. Without me, there’s no milk for you. Most of the time you want to sleep by my side, that even your Daddy can’t do anything about it.
When it’s time for you to go to school for the first time, I was worried that you might end up crying on your first day, but you were brave enough and showed me the first star you got from your teacher. You made friends with everyone, and you’re so excited to go to school everyday. Until one day, you can’t do the things that your teacher is telling you to do that’s why you cried. I told you it’s okay, you just need to be patience and don’t force yourself to learn like everybody else, learning is a process and you’ll get to it in time. With those words, you stopped whining and it feels like nothing happened.
Remember the day, when I was encouraging you to ride your bike without its training wheels. You were a little stubborn at first but then I didn’t give up for days. You were a little afraid because you might fall and get wounded, but after a while you were so happy because you can finally use it without it’s training wheels.
Right now, you’re still too young to experience any hardships. I want you to enjoy life to the fullest. Make friends and have fun being a kid. Not everyone are lucky to experience what you have right now. We may not have all the riches in the world, but I know the love I have for you is more than enough.
Now that you’ve turned a year older, I want you to know that mommy will always be here. I will get angry and might be a monster mommy to you and kuya, but like I would always say it’ll only last for a while because my love for you both will always prevail. I love you baby boy. You and your Kuya will always be a baby for me no matter how older you get.
Happiest birthday my forever little ball of sunshine. Thank you for a decade of happiness you brought into our lives. I love you so much.

Foods that I love to eat the most
One of the basic needs in our life is food. Since I was in grade school, our teachers always taught these three basic things we need in our life, house, clothes and food. Basically because food give us the energy we needed for our everyday activities. Right? So for today’s article let me enumerate to you all the foods that I always crave from time to time.
Noodles
My husband can eat anything with noodles. From pancit, to canton and his all time favorite spaghetti. Back in the days when their ship’s itinerary was in Asia his tummy was very happy because Asians are known for noodles dish. Laksa from Singapore, the best tasting pad thai from Thailand, and of course the delicious ramen from Japan. Ichiran is a famous ramen house in Japan, so he and his brother never missed it out. Back in the Philippines for vacation, he always crave for it, so one time he discover this ramen house in Trinoma. We tried it and it was really delicious. It was so good, that you can’t stop asking for extra noodles.
Then we found a more affordable ramen in a shopping mall near us. The ramen taste almost the same from the above picture but less cheaper. My boys requested for it whenever we go out. They’re just like their father who love noodles too.
Aside from ramen, I am also craving for some pancit guisado. While my husband likes spaghetti the most, I like pancit more. And usually on every occasion that Anthony is here, I let him cooked it because it is one of his specialty.
More yummy dishes
I was just actually done with my dinner as I was writing this up. But upon looking at my phone’s gallery, this dishes makes me want to eat again. So diet no more. First on the list is my own version of sweet and sour pork. I really don’t know how to cook it, but thanks to youtube tutorials because my first attempt was success.
My in laws family loves to eat. Before pandemic we always had a special dinner or lunch together. It’s a kind of bonding that only stopped because of the current situation. But last May, my brother in law and his late mother shared the same birthday, so we celebrated it in the cemetery, so that kids are allowed to come. I missed eating this dish because we forgot to bring rice. And you know food is life but rice is lifer.
Something sweets and cold
Who wouldn’t love something sweet. In every occasion or party dessert is always part of menu. And there are many varieties you can choose from. When I celebrated my birthday a few years back, we ate in this famous restaurant where you can eat everything. I was so overwhelmed with all the foods I can eat that time that I forgot to capture all of it. But I definitely didn’t forgot to take a picture of the desserts I got.
Stressed is spelled desserts backward so in order to take away all the stressed why not eat some desserts. Here’s another sweets that I’m sure you will all like. Mango bravo is an ice cream cake, so be sure to put in the freezer of your fridge or else you won’t enjoy it the next morning, because it melt down already.
Ok, you want something more, here is another ubelicious cake that my sister in law gave to our father in law last father’s day. Dade likes ube cake more than anything else, so she sent an ube flavor cake with less sugar. Dade insisted that I should get a slice of it so I can taste it too. The next morning I tried it and it taste heaven. It’s an ube cheesecake actually but even though it says less sugar, the taste was still very sweet.
I wanted something cold and sweet too. There was one time before pandemic, milk teas has been so famous around the Metro. Like when you go to every milk tea shop, there is always a long line of people waiting for their turn to order that store bestseller milk teas. Of course I myself didn’t missed it.
Speaking of something cold, let me share something that we Filipinos love to eat specially during summer days. It’s the all time favourite halo halo. It’s a shredded ice topped with different ingredients and poured with lots of milk to make it more creamy. Halo is a Tagalog word that means mix, so in order for you to eat it you should mix all the ingredients and your special dessert is ready to eat.
Aren’t you hungry yet? Just remember always eat moderately so you won’t get any trouble in the end. Keep in mind anything that is too much is bad for our body.

Well hello everyone! I’ll be doing my monthly report just like everyone else does. This may be a little late already, the reason is that I also want to congratulate myself for making it here for two months. Yahoo! Yesterday marks my 2nd month in the platform. Can you believe how time really flies fast, in just a matter of time we’re going to say goodbye to year 2021 too.
Without anymore introductions let me share to you my little achievements for this month.

Up until now, I still can’t believe I was able to write down 26 articles. I told you last month was a very busy month for me because of my online business which give me another extra income. I am selling my handmade ornaments on shopee and I am so happy that I was able to pay our monthly bills from it. My handmade crafts took a lot of my time, so forgive me if I can’t reply to your comments right away. But whenever I have free time I am trying my best to catch up with your articles and interact with your comments.

On my first month I was able to reached 500 views, and just before the month of October ends my articles reached 1000 views. Next month goals

Picture Furpect

So right now, what I am going to share to you, are the pets in my sister in law’s house. Last week, before we went to the cemetery, I dropped by at their house and while I was waiting I bonded a lot and took some pictures of their pets. They actually have 4 dogs and a cat. But Patrash is old already that’s why he can no longer play with the other dogs. He just stayed at the corner of their house. Meanwhile the other three dogs were so hyper at that moment. Let me introduce them one by one.
Say hi to Tidy
Tidy is a half labrador and half aspin. My brother in law only got him this May from their cousin when he was just two months old. He was just a little tiny puppy then, but now he is still a puppy but a big grown puppy. He is too big, might be because we were used to have a small dog only.
He looks scary because of his big size and very loud bark, but the moment he recognized your smell, he will instantly cling unto you. And since he was still a puppy he loves to play too. But sometimes it feels so awkward to play with him because of his big size. He is actually bigger than my youngest son when he stands up. He loves to be touched and in return he will try licking your hand showing his sharp teeth.
Meet Taki
Taki is actually the same breed as our dog Yumi, half pomeranian and half poodle. They both have the same parents but Taki was born earlier. Both of them looks exactly the same, specially if you have meet them for the first time, you can’t hardly tell which is which. I met Taki when he was still a puppy too. He was very nice and so playful. My boys love him a lot, that they always looked forward to be at their cousin’s house to be with him. That’s the reason why we opted to have a dog like Taki too.
Whenever my husband Anthony is here for vacation, we took Yumi at my sister in law’s house from time to time. She loves playing with Taki back when she was still a puppy, but now she hated it. For some reason, Taki is always getting into her nerves, that everytime Taki wants to follow her around, she will growl at him. Someone’s playing hard to get huh.
Hello Haru
Say hello to shih tzu Haru. He is so cute because of his tiny size and fury hair. But there was one time we stopped going at my sister in law’s house because my youngest son Athan was bitten by Haru. Well he isn’t the first victim, Haru was newly adopted dog at that time so he isn’t used to new visitors at home. Maybe that is his way of greeting the guest, but boy the anti rabies vaccination is expensive. I think I spent Php8000 for the completed anti rabies vaccination.
Look at that fury baby boy who’s hiding under a motorcycle when I tried to get a picture of him. He is a one naughty dog too. Whenever the gate is open, he runs quickly outside of the house, the only problem is that he can’t go home alone. Glad the neighborhood knows Haru that’s why they sometimes brought him back home. And also he’s a good boy now. He no longer welcome their visitor with his bite.
Kuring the second
The prettiest muse in the house is Kuring the cat. Oh well, they name their cat the same as ours, but their Kuring is a girl, while ours is a boy. And just like our cat who definitely goes well with Yumi, their Kuring handles all the dogs in their house perfectly. She didn’t have any problem playing with them, and vice versa the dogs love her as well.
Final Thoughts
Pets definitely take away our everyday stress and helps us fight depression too. They gave us extra happiness, and according to some studies interacting with them increases the level of hormone oxytocin. And oxytocin has a number of important effects in the body. Cast Away
Yesterday, I decided to watch an old movie from 2000 starring the one and the only Tom Hanks. The boys and I have watched this before, but since it was a boring afternoon and there was nothing we can do except staring at each other, I then open the netflix application in my phone. Looked for something to watched and decided to rewatch Cast Away. Ok guys, for those who haven’t watch the movie yet, you can now stop reading because this article might contain spoilers. At first I really don’t want to watch this kind of film, because it broke my heart just watching the trailer. I don’t want to be left heartbroken in the end, but because my husband is such a movie lover, he urged me watching it. And indeed I end up broken hearted but it’s a great movie too. Too many realizations and lessons we could learned from the movie too.
Everyone needs a Wilson
The movie is about Chuck Noland who is working in Fedex. He is a workaholic and very dedicated to his job, that on one of their family dinner with his girlfriend on Christmas eve, he choose his work than spending the rest of day with his girlfriend. His girlfriend Kelly was the ever supportive and understanding fiancee too. Then on that night, while they were on their way to Malaysia, the plane crashed and Chuck was the only survivor. The next morning he woke up in an isolated island. That’s where his adventures began along with Wilson that helped him sane for almost 4 years alone in the island. Spoiler alert, Wilson isn’t a human being it’s actually a volleyball. Talking to Wilson everyday as if he is with someone, helped Chuck survive the loneliness, and manage to stay alive despite being hopeless that anyone could’ve save him.
Never give up
Giving up is just for losers. Basically if you want to win in a battle, you shouldn’t surrender nor quit. This movie taught me a lot about not giving up. There was time Chuck tried to make a fire like primitive people does, he got tired at one point because of the wound he got, but then realised he needed to keep going. And right there and then, he was able to make a fire and that’s where he appreciates the taste of the cooked crab even more.
Keep breathing
This is probably the best lesson for me. Can you imagine yourself trap alone in an island with nobody around, not just one day, but for four long years. It’s so devastating, and I might never make it. Back to the movie, Chuck continue on living on island. He manage to survive living inside the cave with Wilson and the pocket watch that has a picture of Kelly that keeps him motivated to be alive too. Until one day a broken portalet was washed by the waves to the island, that’s where he taught of getting out of the island, which he failed the first time. Ok to cut the story short, he successfully made it but he lost Wilson. Poor Chuck.
He went back to the city only to find out Kelly is married. Another heartbreaking moment for our protagonist. I cried at the scene when he reunited with Kelly for the last time and share their last kiss. They confessed that they both love each other, but Chuck had to let her go. He lost Kelly all over again but this is what he said to his friend “I have to keep breathing for the sun will rise, and who knows what tide could bring.”
Final thoughts
There you go, these are the lessons and realizations I’ve learned from the movie Cast Away. As usual, Tom Hanks portrayal of Chuck Noland is on the top. At the end of the movie, I was hoping he would get his happy ending too, but since it’s an open ending I just leave it to my imagination.
Though the movie is just fictional, it gives a lot of lessons we could apply in our daily life. There is always a reason to move forward and keep breathing. If someone left, believe me there is someone out there waiting for you. And if you failed once more, the more reason for you to stand once again. Creepy Urban Legends
Halloween’s party isn’t over yet. Yesterday as I was browsing my twitter, I’ve seen a lot of celebrities flexing their scariest costumes. Even on every tv shows, the topic was all about creepy and scary encounters by an individual. And who would’ve missed the KMJS “Gabi ng Lagim” special. For some reason, I am fond of watching this segment that days before the special episode comes out, I’ve been watching the previous years episodes on you tube. To my non Filipino readers KMJS is popular magazine show in our country. If you want to know her, you can search all of her show’s episodes which are uploaded in youtube.
Speaking of halloween, I’ve been reading a lot of scary stories from my fellow read.cash readers for the past days and I am so loving it. With all honesty, I just love reading it but I don’t want to experience it in real life. Of course, experiencing it is a whole lot different from reading. I grew up in the province, and eversince I was a kid I heard a lot of stories that have something to do with paranormal activities. Aside from that, urban legends is a popular topic too during this season. let me list down some of the scariest urban legends that has been spread all over our country for decades now.
White Lady
First on the list is the white lady at balete drive. According to the legend, the white lady is a ghost of a teenage girl who was hit by a taxi driver and then buried near the balete tree. From then on, the ghost keeps on haunting most specially on taxi drivers whenever they passed on Balete drive at night. They said the ghost was probably seeking for justice. There were actually a lot of different version about this very famous white lady on Balete drive, and because of that many motorists were afraid to passed by at this particular street specially at night.
The jeepney driver
I have read this story in one of the ghosts book I love to read when I was still in college. The story is about the a student who ride the jeepney going home at night. She was the only passenger at that time. When she asked the driver to dropped at her stop, the driver looked at her in the rear view mirror and continued driving. Though the student is a little afraid, because of what might happened, the driver finally dropped at her supposedly stop. While leaving the jeepney, the driver told the student to burn her clothes right away because she saw the girl student headless in the mirror earlier which could mean death.
Headless Priests
These headless priests were also very popular back when I was a kid. Somehow stories like this is effective so that kids won’t go out at night, because according to some, if you see one something bad is going to happen to you. From what I have heard and read, these headless priests was from the world war II era. For some reason they were beheaded. We all know how cruel or brutal our countrymen suffered under that very dark times in the history. And all these priests were one of the victims too.
Haunted Universities
Many of the old universities in our country believe to be haunted. As this was used to be a cemetery and for some other reasons. Back in high school days, I’ve witnessed some of my schoolmates who were said to be possessed by some unknown spirits. Fortunately nothing bad happened to them afterwards.
Here in the Metro, popular school like University of the Philippines in Diliman have a fair share of ghosts stories among its former students. There is a particular building where the ghost haunts the students. Rumor has it that it was an old student who was molested and then found dead the next day.
My way
Everyone is familiar by Frank Sinatra’s song my way. But this song believes to be a cursed song within our country, that whoever sings it will eventually died. Most of Filipinos loves karaoke specially on every occasion. And celebrations wouldn’t be completed without it, but because of this killing phenomenon this particular song was removed from the playlist, according to others to prevent unfortunate killings that was connected with the song.
So that was some of the creepy urban legends I could share for now. I know there’s a whole lot more as our country is very rich when it comes to this creepy stories. Paying Bills Online
It’s the end of October and that only means one thing for those who are working, it’s payday. All the hard works and stress from working over the past days have all been paid off. Oh how I missed the feeling of getting my checks on payday, back when I was still working. That was when I don’t have a family yet, so everything was spend on me. But now, it’s a whole lot different from the way it used to be.
For more than 10 years, since I’ve stopped working and decided to just take care of my little family, I depended on my husband when it comes to our financial aspects. I didn’t encounter any problem on that because from the start he is very honest when it comes to his pay checks, and I got to applaud him for that. Since he is working overseas, his salary is a little higher than working here, unfortunately we also have a lot of obligations to pay. Aside from our house monthly amortization, we also have insurances to pay, and of course our monthly utility bills too.
Two of my dearest friends are waving at me always at the end of the month, they are Judith and Jona. Who can relate well with this? For my non Filipino readers these two names referred to our bills which are due already. So instead of stressing ourselves with our bills, we make fun of it by using these two names. Anyway let me share to you how I pay my bills online. Nowadays, there are many applications available where you can pay it, but I prefer using shopee on paying my bills payment.
How to pay bills at Shopee
Aside from shopee budols which a lot of us are willing victims, one thing I love the most using this e-commerce application is paying our monthly bills. So today let me share you some tipid hacks I always do to pay some bills.
For the past months, I pay most of our utility bills at shopee. Not only I find in more convenient but I got cash discount and cashback upon using it which I can be used in my future transactions or purchase. So it was like hitting two birds at one stone. I pay our monthly bills at the end of the month, just in time before its due date. I always pay our internet/ telephone bill first, because there was one time when I forgot to settle it on time, our internet provider disconnected our connection right away. So to prevent it from happening next time, I make sure to settle it days before its due date.
As you can see from the picture above, I have to settle the amount of Php 1300 but since I have received a total of Php139 coins cashbacks from my precious purchases, I was able to redeem it thus giving me a huge discount. By the way, you have to pay it via shopee pay, and just like any e-wallet you can cash in using your gcash account or coins.ph account too. The next payment on the list was our electric bill. So I did the same process. First you have to go to load and bills services on your shopee application. Choose for your biller’s company, and claimed for any vouchers available. Type the account number, your amount due and then press the continue button. On the next page before you press on the pay button, don’t forget to use your discount vouchers and redeem your available coins. After confirming everything, you just need to wait for a little while and your transactions is done.
I didn’t have available coins left when I pay for our water bill, but the good thing was that I used another voucher so that I can get another coins which I can use in my next purchase. This is such a great deal right? For today’s transactions I have saved around Php251 or $5. You don’t have to worry because the payment confirmation takes a little while only and you’ll receive your cashback instantly too.
Final Thoughts
Before the pandemic began, I haven’t tried paying bills via online. I must admit I am afraid of using it because I might click the wrong button and end up losing my money. So I am satisfied going to any bills payment center and wait for my turn at the counter to pay. I only started using online transactions when pandemic happened. It makes any transactions easy and less hassle. It saves our time and we don’t have to go out frequently. It keeps us away from other people thus preventing us from getting the virus. Overall I am more satisfied and happy using the said application in paying my bills.

Wooohhh! Hurray! My 1 BCH was finally achieved. I am so happy to share with you my read.cash friends and readers that I finally accumulated 1 bch as of yesterday. I started being a member of noise.cash last January. I don’t exactly remember the date but it’s in the middle of that month. The good thing about joining that time was that you instantly get a free tips which you can give to others and then you can get something in return. Giveaways were so popular that time in order to gain subscribers you have to comment on their post and subscribe to them and tada few cents of dollar will be tipped to you. I didn’t engage myself in that particular giveaways, the reason why I don’t have much subscribers after a month. I was just enjoying giving tips to a nice post and satisfied with the percentage I got in return.
Where did my noise.cash earning goes?
In a span of one month, I earned less than 500 pesos. So to prove to myself and relatives that noise.cash was legit I converted my first earnings to our local currency and used it as a payment for my shopee order. I continued using the noise.cash with posting nonsense posts, like good morning, happy lunch time and so on, which eventually prohibited in the next months. During that time, you can post anything and you’ll be easily rewarded. I will just save a picture from the internet, puts a little caption and wait for someone to tip it. It might be the reason why the number of spammers keep growing each day that time. Some even have multiple accounts for the sake of earnings. But when the bch price goes up on the 1st week of May, I let go some of it. I converted my .0922 bch into our local currency. I didn’t regret it because it covered our utility bills for the whole month of May. We were struggling financially that time, because my husband Anthony was still waiting for his return contract at work. My earnings from noise actually helped us a lot, and I will be forever grateful for that.

I started joining seriously on read.cash on the month of September. This was actually my second account. I didn’t used my first account frequently, and I think it was rated as spam already so I wanted to start anew, thus I opened my second account. I am so glad to meet new virtual friends here. Sharing same thoughts and sentiments. The platform taught me a lot of things about everything I need to learn about cryptocurrency. Though, there were some things that I didn’t fully understand well. But I always believe in the process of learning, and I hope I will be able to comprehend everything about it in the future, so that I can also share it to my friends and relatives too.
Where did my read.cash earning goes?
All of my read.cash earning went on hodl. It is my goal to have 1 bitcoin cash before the year ends. I’d like to give it credit to this platform because if I didn’t joined, it might take a little longer before I could’ve reach my goal. Honestly, I am so overwhelmed right now, because finally I was able to experience the joy of having 1 bch. The feeling is surreal. Now what’s next? Gone but never Forgotten
All Souls Day is a part of Filipino culture for a very long time. It is the day that the family remembers and visits their lost loved ones. It’s a yearly gathering of families too, that is why cemetery is always full of people. Eversince my mother in law died in 2013, we always had an overnight at the cemetery every All Souls Day. We always looked forward on that special day because we’ve got to spend our night with Mame. We brought a lot of foods, tents and a lot of candles to brighten up the whole night. At first I am a little hesitant to do it, since I grew up, believing that cemetery were full of ghosts and scary things. But it wasn’t at all, maybe because there were a lot of families that were doing the same thing.
So this morning, my husband informed me that my in laws were planning to visit Mame today. We were supposed to go there last Sunday, but because of the not so good weather, it was postponed. I hurriedly called Dade, my father in law and asked him what time they were planning to leave. He wasn’t sure yet, because he was waiting for his son’s confirmation, just in time Bugoy, my brother in law came and told him we were leaving at 3 in the afternoon. Dade then tells me, that he will fetched us by 2 in the afternoon, but knowing him, he might came earlier than that. My kids and I ate our lunch, and they were so excited because this is gonna be the first time they will be out of the house after a very long time. And just I expected, Dade came to fetch us 30 minutes earlier. I took a bath as fast as I can and told my kids to change their clothes too. When everything is fine, I locked the windows and door, then off we go.
We arrived first at my brother in law’s house and waited for a little while. A few minutes later, we got inside the car, and was on our way to the cemetery. There’s a little congestion on the road, that’s why I took a nap. When I woke up, we were already near the cemetery’s location. We bought flowers before we reached the gate. There wasn’t so much visitors inside. This whole pandemic changed everything when it comes to mass gathering. Very unlikely from the way it used to be. I am not complaining though, at least we can see that people were somehow following the health protocols in order to avoid getting infected by the virus.
Dade parked the car, and we got out of it, and went to Mame’s and baby Peter tomb. Baby Peter lives for only a day. He was born at 6 months old, due to some complications, he only lasted for a day and was buried next to Mame. We lighted some candles and offered prayers too. Pheng, my sister in law bought a ready to eat palabok, so that we have something to eat while we were there. While waiting for his husband, we started eating. At exactly 5 pm, Bugoy finally came. The whole place will close at exactly 6 pm so we stayed for a little longer. Today is the last day of visiting, because starting tomorrow up until November 2, cemeteries within the country will be closed in accordance with the government implementation because of covid threats.
While on our way going back home, I can’t help but to compare the present occasion from the previous one before pandemic happened. Cemetery is a lonely place but during this time of the year people who came to visit this place were happy. Happy not because they lost their loved ones, but because it’s the time of the year that you’ve got to remember and visit them. In our country, All Souls Day is like a very important day. People looked forward for this date every year.
Who would’ve thought that this kind of tradition will suddenly changed? Because mass gathering is still prohibited, visitors were also reduced. There is a time limit for visiting, and a whole lot more restrictions in order to abide with the health protocols implemented by government. With that being said, people will still find a way to never let this special day for their departed loved ones passed. Because for them this people were gone in their lives physically but never forgotten and will stay in their heart forever.

Happy Trick or Treating
Yesterday I was talking again with my best friend Janifa. We were talking about this and that and then suddenly we were discussing about this particular topic on tv show. I then remember how she hate talking about ghosts. She started screaming and pointing at their kitchen door. She was imagining someone was peaking on it. It was nighttime over there while it was daytime in our place that was why I was so confident telling stories about it. She was telling his husband about it and then his husband Jeffrey, showed me a poster which has a picture of a mummy that looks like spongebob but a scary one and it says trick or treat, that reminds me halloween is just around the corner.
There were probably a lot of trick or treat activities going on by this time if not only for the worldwide pandemic. This was a yearly activity that we adopted from western countries. Parents and kids were pretty excited for this kind of event. For the parents they love to try out different costumes for their little ones, either it’s scary, superheroes princess type one or any costumes that suits their kid’s like. Well for the kids, aside from wearing their favorite character costumes, one thing they love most about in this activity were candies, chocolates, and different kind of sweets. Who doesn’t love it anyway, even at my age I still love to munch it.
For today's article, allow me share to you again my throwback story about my kid’s personal experience on their last trick or treat activity. It happened on the last week of October 2017. During that particular week, they had a one week vacation as part of semestral break also because of upcoming holiday, the All Souls day. So before going to the cemetery on that week, there was a yearly trick or treat event happening on our village. We started joining in 2016 and in the following year, the kids were as excited as ever to get a loads of their treats. On the day of the event, I let my kids wear their costumes which they’ve used the other year. I wasn’t able to buy them a new one because I was out of budget.😁 After wearing it, I put them some make up so they would look scary, unfortunately, I am not a gifted make up artist. I just drew something on their face using eyeliner and put some red lipstick on their faces to complete the get up. They got their pumpkin basket and off we go to the clubhouse. The organisers of the event held a small program and some parlor games before the kids can proceed to do some trick or treats along the neighborhood. They also announced the winners of best in costume for that year. And the winners deserved it because they looked really cute with their costumes. By the way, my Athan bagged the 3rd place for best in costume in 2016. We were really surprised and wasn’t expecting it. His costume was just a plain one but maybe because of his charms he won the heart of the judges😅
After the short program and announcement of winners, the foods were distributed to all participants. Then, the trick or treats activity started. All the kids together with their guardians went to every house in the village to get some candies. All the homeowners were so cooperative because they give each kids a fair share of candies and other treats. We got home when my kids pumpkin baskets were full of sweets already. As usual my kids were all excited to see a lot of treats and can no longer wait to have a taste of it. When we got home, I let them change their clothes, then they started counting their candies and eating some of it. I have to remind them to drink a lot water to avoid getting a toothache.
Final Thoughts
Now that my kids are grown up, I don’t think they will still enjoy joining this kind of activities. They would probably feel embarrassed wearing an awkward costumes too. But I know, in a few years more, they’ll be glad to know that once in their life they’ve got to experience it. Am I glad, this kind of activities is widely spread to different part of the countries, and you don’t have to spend a lot of money just to enjoy it. Any particular costumes is allowed, the scarier the better. Sad to say, there wouldn’t be any trick or treat this year because of the ongoing pandemic. We can only hope that next year they would allow it, even though my kids would no longer join but for the little ones who haven’t experienced it yet.

Another Birthday to Remember
In just a matter of time my youngest is turning 10 years old. The past few days he keeps on telling me that his birthday is coming soon, then I would asked him what does he want for his birthday and he will answer me anything would do. Last year we had a very simple celebration at home. Only the immediate family were invited since mass gathering isn’t allowed yet. And since Anthony my husband was here, he was in charge in cooking. Yes, he is a wanna be chef.😅 This year I don’t have any particular plans yet. But since I am really quite busy this month, I would probably just order ready to eat food and give him a simple present on his special day.
Since his birthday is coming soon, for today’s article let me share to you what I did two years ago on his 8th birthday. Unlike his 7th birthday where we celebrated it with lots of guests and all, that time I planned a very simple one. I just wanted him to enjoy that day. So first thing I asked him what theme does he want for his birthday, and he answered lego ninja go. My kids both love ninja go characters. As far as I can remember we’ve watch the movie on theatre and as you know they love anything with lego. I looked for some simple idea on the net, so that I can somehow granted my little one request. I’ve seen a lot of different ideas but I choose the one which I know I can do better. I decided to make a lego ninja go mask from felt cloth. I made five of them for my kids and their playmates along the neighborhood. I also made a happy birthday banner from felt cloth too. Then I bought some baloons at the bookstore nearby for an additional decorations . I set them up and paste them in a wall a day before his birthday.
On the day of his birthday, my little one has an early class. I woke him up and greeted him, and then I took him and his brother to the school. When they were at the school, I took the chance to buy the things I needed for our little celebration. I dropped by at the supermarket and then on the bakery to buy a cake and then went home after. I fetched the kids after their classes and we were a little excited for our little celebration in the afternoon. Afternoon came, and his friends came over. I prepared the table with the foods I cooked, along with the ready to eat foods I bought earlier. We started by singing my Athan a happy birthday song. He blew the cake, and said some birthday wishes and it was time to eat. Oh before I forgot, we had a special visitor who’s on board that time. Joining on our party was his Daddy via online. The kids enjoyed their handmade ninja go masks while they were having a chit chats like they usually do when they were together. They went home after because their guardians were looking for them already. By 6 pm, my in laws came too. Of course they wouldn’t miss Athan’s birthday and because of that the little boy was so happy.
Closing Thoughts
We all have different ways of celebrating our loved ones birthdays. It doesn’t matter how big or simple it is, what matters most is that the efforts you’ve made to make it happen. Some even say no matter how small or big your gifts are, its always the thoughts that counts. It’s part of our culture to celebrate any occasion most specially birthdays because it only happens once a year. Every year we are all looking on how to make our birthday a little special than it was. Now this reminds me that I need to plan out for my Athan’s upcoming birthday. I still have more than a week to do that. I hope he will have again his best birthday ever this year.

My Bruno Mars Playlist
Today is another easy listening Sunday. It is such a good day to relax and listen to music before the busy Monday starts. I was actually planning to set up our videoke player to sing my heart out, but then I changed my mind to watch youtube music videos instead. I have a lot of favourite artists but today, for some reason, I typed Bruno Mars on the search tab and listened to his top hits of all time. I really liked him even before I knew he was a half Filipino. The first time I heard about it him was back in 2009. I was working in a mall that time, and that’s where I heard the song “Nothin on You” where Bruno Mars was featured. Right there and then, I knew he will be one of my favorite male singer of all time. He is also a great performer. Have you seen his super bowl halftime performance? So going back to our main topic I listed some of his top hits that I like most and the reason why I love it.
Just the way you are
This song was my firstborn favorite song when he was still a baby. Cocomelon wasn’t available yet that time so he spend most of his time watching this music video on youtube. He was all eyes on the laptop while jamming with Bruno Mars😁 So whenever he has tantrums, the only way I can make him behave was to play this song. Now let’s talk about how I love this song. First and foremost I definitely like it’s beat and lyrics. How the boy admire his girl for being just as she is. How he adore every little thing that she does and compliments all her beautiful features. When ever I hear this song, I feel like I was the girl Bruno Mars is referring to.😅

This is such a sad song. Whenever I play this song, I can’t help to cry. The lyrics of the song touches my heart and the way that Bruno Mars sang it, makes the song so full of emotion. I think this a part of Twilight movie OST. And there’s some clip of the movie in its official music video. The song is about a guy, who’s like begging for his girl not to leave him and his willing to try everything so that she will stay with him.

Another very painful song to me. This song is about a boy who has been so hopelessly in love with his girl yet he was neglected and left broken-hearted. Despite all of this, he is willing to sacrifice and gave his everything to that girl, even taking away his life. Uh oh, you can come to me Bruno and I’ll take care of you😁

This song has no official video, but I so love this one. Bruno Mars was such a talented song writer. This song is about a man who lost someone he loves. This song reminds me that we shouldn’t take our partner for granted so we wouldn’t end up regretting everything in the end.

When I was a kid, I always admire the blue genie from the Aladdin a lot. I remembered it back then, I had always three wishes on my list. These were nice house, a big amount of money, and delicious foods. These were the things I wanted when I was a kids, but as you grow older, things started to change even my wishes. Right now, if I will be given a chance to meet Genie, my three wishes will be, world peace, healing, and lastly bitcoin cash to fly to the moon.
What would you rather throw away, love or money?
I would rather throw money of course. My friend who’s living in US now once asked me that she can take me to America anytime if ever I change my mind with my boyfriend then. She told me she will look someone so we can live together in the US. It was actually my chance to fulfill my once dream of living abroad, but of course I choose love and that is to stay with my boyfriend then now husband. And after more than a decade, we may not have enough money, but our love for each other was more than enough.
What’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen?
I never been to so many places yet. So I will be loyal for now, I will choose the beautiful mountain located in my home province. Mayon Volcano is a perfect cone shape active volcano in our country. It’s name derived from the word “magayon” which mean beautiful in our local dialect. It’s so gigantic that it can be seen in the whole province of Albay. Once you’ve seen it in personal, you can’t help but to fall in love with it.
What is in your fridge right now?
An ice cube and some raw chicken meat. It reminds me that I have to do some grocery now. Our fridge is almost empty. But I have some mocha cake right now, I bought this one yesterday when I went to the bank to pay some bills.
What would you do with 10 million dollars?
This is a huge amount of money. Upon converting it to our currency it cost around 500 million Philippine peso. If I remember it right back in 2018, the lottery jackpot price reached to almost 20 million dollars, and there were two lucky winners that took the price. They each take almost 10 million dollars each. So lucky right? Now back to the question above, I would be very speechless at first if I have this big amount of money. The next thing I will do is put it in a trusted investments. And the rest I honestly don’t know. 😅 But investment will always comes first. I actually knew someone who inherited of more than 20 million Php from his deceased father. And what I can tell you is that money can easily be gone. So spend it very wisely.
If you could have any super powers which one would you choose?
The power to teleport. There was this American tv show back in 2006 that my best friend Janifa and I were really hooked at. The title of the show is Heroes. It was an amazing show if you are into fictional superheroes. One of my favourite character was Hiro and he has the ability to transport to different places if he wants to. Although he isn’t the main protagonist I really like to possess his special power. Now back to the present time, Doctor Strange has almost the same power as him. The moment I’ve seen his movie for the first time, he became my favourite instantly. He is so cool and very good looking too. Out of all the characters in the marvel, he definitely is the best for me.

Studying while Working
*“Stop doubting yourself, work hard and make it happen”*
Three days ago as I was watching my favorite noontime show for the nth time, my attention was suddenly caught by it’s very interesting topic. The topic is something very familiar to me, being a working student. I was again hooked with the two contestants who are working at the same time continues to struggle with their studies. The first one was Chris. He is a tricycle driver. According to him he learned driving since he was very young, and when he reached the right age he starts earning by being a tricycle driver at their place. He didn’t elaborated his story well but he said that he pursued his studies while working. Other than that, he now have a little family to support, instead of quitting to focus on his new responsibility, he worked harder in order to provide for his little family at the same time for his study. Isn’t it inspiring to know people like him continue to strive despite all the difficulties he is facing. It doesn’t stopped him to pursue his education, and fulfill his dream of being a police officer someday.
*”Education is passport to our future”*
Marvin on the other hand was also a driver, a jeepney driver to be exact. He has a very nice story too. His reason for working was to helped his parents in his school expenses. According to him by working he can provides for his school projects and needed requirements at school thus it lessened the burden of his parents. He woke up early and stays on the road for sometime in order to earned money everyday. After a couple of years, by working really hard, he was able to graduate and is now working on a field related to his course. Quite amazing right?
*“If there’s a will there’s a way”*
There were a lot inspiring stories about people who graduated by being a working student. They took the hard way to be able to pursue their studies and never give up on their dreams. Despite all the challenges of doing two things at the same time, their hard works paid off in the end. My husband and I were both working students when we were in college. Maybe that’s one of the reason why we understand each other well. He started working as early as 16 years old, after graduating in high school. He manage to finished his college while working as a part time crew on different food chains. While me on the other hand, started working when I turned 18. I went to Manila to pursue my college education as promised by my uncle. But some promises are made to be broken. Ouch! Well, life must goes on. I learned to be independent and trust myself that I can do it. I was able to work some part time jobs, and later on pursue my education while working.
*“Hard work will never disappoint you”*
Base from my personal experience I could say it was really hard at the same time so stressful. I even got a failed grade because of complicated schedule. It was disappointing yes, but I wasn’t that grade conscious that’s why I’ve moved on from it easily. 😁I focused on my goal to finished my study no matter what it takes. The good thing about our school was that the schedule was a little flexible for working students. I have other classmates too, who were also taking part time jobs while studying. And all the hard works and efforts had been paid off the moment we got our diplomas.
Advantages and Disadvantages
There’s actually some advantages and disadvantages of being a working student. One of its disadvantages is that you can’t focused well on your studies, specially when the midterms and final examinations time. Also you can’t fully enjoy your college life with friends because after class, you have to report on your duty. But I believe with proper time management you can excel it too. On the other hand, one of its advantages is that you build self confident with other people around. Because of your nature’s work, you encountered different people from all walks of life and somehow it’ll make it easier for you to associate with them. One more thing, it’ll be easier for you to look for future job because of your experiences.
My final thoughts
With all honesty, if I have other means to continue my studies I would still choose to be a full time student. That’s why right now, I am saving hard for my kids future. I don’t want them to experience the difficulties I encountered during my college years. But if they choose to work while studying I will always be there to support them.

I have or I never
Hello beautiful ones! So yesterday I’ve read @BCH_LOVER article about this never have I ever challenge. Just a random article about this and that. And upon looking for similar articles in the search tab, the challenge was up 3 months ago and as a newbie, I would like to give it a try too. Never have I ever tried hard drugs
The answer is absolutely no. I guess it has already marked in my mind the harmful effects of using drugs. I know everyone has different point of view why they were once a user, and I don’t want to judge them. I actually lived with an active user before. I was living with my auntie and his partner’s brother has been an active user for so many years. Luckily he was harmless the whole time I was living there, and because of operation tokhang, he finally got rid of it after one of his session mate died.
Never have I ever been hospitalised for something other than giving birth
I did. Well when I got to undergo a D and C operation. It is a minor operation for ladies who suffered miscarriage. It is still related with birth.😅 But other than that, I am thankful to God above for keeping me healthy and safe from any accidents.
Never have I ever played a musical instrument
I have. Does maracas or tambourine count? Anyway I have a girl cousin who is musically talented. She grows up in church, that is why at an early age she was exposed with different musical instruments and she sings very well too. One time, she taught me how to play the organ, unfortunately I didn’t learn the skill.
Never have I ever gone skiing
Obviously never. I live in a tropical country with only two seasons. I kinda envy people living in the country that have snow on winter for they can enjoy the snow and gone skiing anytime they want to. For someone like me who grew up in a hot country, it was one of my ultimate dream to gone skiing although I know I can’t live in a cold country. I guess it’ll stay as dream.
Never have I ever travelled to a foreign country
Not yet. But hopefully soon. I honestly want to travel within the country because of so many good places to explore here. The only problem is that it’s also expensive. That’s why you can’t blame why a lot of people would like to travel outside the country because it’s more affordable. I hope they can also do that in our country so that many more tourists would come.
Never have I ever learned a foreign language
I have never. I only knew few Korean language courtesy of watching too much korean dramas over the past years. Only basic words that every korean drama addicts knew. I know a lot of you can relate. Ottoke!
Never have I ever dated with someone 5 years younger
I have never. But I have an ex boyfriend who was 2 years younger than me. Well, we didn’t last long for some reason, and it’s alright because I found my one true love. He will always be my forever oppa.
Never have I ever been a maid of honor
Never. But I have been a bridesmaid for two weddings. The chance of being a maid of honor to my best friend in college wasn’t possible because she married abroad.
Never have I ever faked sick from work
Guilty as charge. I have tried this many times specially when my laziness attacks. Well, it was the only reason my superior will accept whenever I wasn’t able to go to work. During that time, medical certificate isn’t allowed yet, so I can always faked sick. I know it’s a bad habit and please don’t try to follow it.
Never have I ever read a partner’s text message
I have for the nth time. There’s no room for privacy as far as text messages is concern. I know some of you guys was just the same as me, when it comes to this. Do you agree? This happened most of the time, specially when both of you are new in a relationship. There were always be a trust issues and sometimes this could always lead to break up.

A Day at Enchanted Kingdom
I am glad to hear that the Covid cases in the country is starting to trim down. From 20,000 plus cases in the last months, it went down little by little. Yesterday upon checking the Department of Health data, it recorded a 4,496 positive cases and 9,609 who recovered from the virus. It is a good news, but remember we should still follow the safe protocols and don’t be too complacent with the current situation. We should aim for a negative case, so that we can now back to our normal lives. Speaking of normal life, one of the things we missed a lot during pandemic was travelling. There were also so many requirements needed if you want to travel to different places that takes a lot of time and will cost you an additional money. How I wish I could pull off the time so that we can have year 2023. I guess by that time everything’s will be back to normal. Can we have a time machine now?
Anyway, since I miss travelling for a while why don’t we travel down the lane. This happened in 2018 when our family went to Enchanted Kingdom, a famous theme park in the country located in Laguna. This was actually our third time to visit the place, but this time the family (in laws) were complete. So even though today is not Thursday, let’s have some throwback.
In January 2018, the family decided to have fun and went to one of the happiest place in town. Enchanted Kingdom is located outside NCR, I think the travel time would be 2 to 3 hours from our place including all the traffic . Since this was our third time going to that place, we brought some foods and snacks because the food inside the park is a little expensive. First, Anthony drove to his brothers house in Quezon City. Both of them are living in the same village. Their oldest brother was living in Las Piñas, so we’ll just meet them at the entrance of EK. We should be there at lunchtime so we could eat first before we could have fun. The whole ride was smooth until we reached and passed the South Luzon Expressway. From there it only took few minutes more until we got to our final destination. We took our packed lunch at the parking area and prepared ourselves for a whole day fun.
The whole gang was all ready but for the meantime we took some family pictures. After we got our tickets, we entered the park already. I don’t remember the price anymore but if you want to know it you can check it at their website. Our first stop was Agila Eksperience. This was their newest attraction, because during our last two visit this isn’t available yet. You shouldn’t miss this ride if you happen to visit EK one day. They called it a flying theatre because the idea was that you were riding at the eagle’s wing while exploring the different attractions in the Philippines from North to South. It was so good with all the props and all, and we’ll definitely come back next time.
After we were done with our first ride, we explored the theme park. We separated our ways so that we can enjoy every ride. While my kids went with their cousins and uncle, I went to this particular ride which I haven’t tried last time. I haven’t tried them before because I was scaredy-cat and that day I have earned some courage to try them. It was a lot of fun and because my first ride was a blast, it triggered my adrenaline rush to try the super extreme rides.
I was always hesitant to try the Space Shuttle, but since I promised myself that I should try it next time I come, I didn’t failed myself that day. Anthony, my husband was a little afraid of heights but since I told him I’d like to give it a try, he wanted to try it too. I was a little afraid for him, because he just had a minor operation. Well, he insisted it was ok so we entered the entrance to Space Shuttle. After securing the lock and all, I just closed my eyes and scream as loud as I can until the whole ride was done.
There were so many more rides to enjoy while you were at the 25 hectares theme park. They have rides for little ones too. Of course I have to take the kids there. I can’t tell it one by one because they are so many to tell. And every little one would definitely love and enjoy it.
The food was extra expensive inside the park, so it is advisable to bring some snacks and food, only that you can only eat it in the parking area. It isn’t allowed inside the park, but you can always go out anytime, just don’t forget to get a stamp from the staff so you can still get inside. They will only allowed you to bring water inside. And also don’t ever forget to bring some extra clothes because some rides will get your clothes wet. Out of all the rides, Rio Grande is definitely the best of all the rest. Just get ready to get wet. Everyone will love this ride because this is one of the safest yet so enjoyable. I think we took this ride many times. After our turn is done, we go back to the entrance and have it all over again. This was always our last ride before we changed our wet clothes and came back for the last attraction in the park, the fireworks. After the fireworks is done it’s time to go home.
It was a tiring day but I know everyone had fun. Not only the kids but the adults as well. We’d definitely come back if the right time comes.

So there you go, my throwback travel on a Wednesday morning. We could only hope that by next year we could do the things we used to do. Little by little the restrictions were slowly lifting up. Blessing in Disguise
A few days ago, I have shared to you about the problem we are about to encounter. If you want to read more about it you can click it ***here***. So to give you a brief summary of it, my husband Anthony was about to go home in a few days. He was supposed to finish his contract next year, however the ship he was into, has announced to be officially out of service in the meantime. That only means that they had to cancel the contract of each crew. It was really a bad news for most of them, according to my husband some of his co workers even cried when the official news reached them. As you know, the cruises is part of the tourism industry, and it is one of the most affected industry this pandemic. Because of the circumstances, Anthony was a little worried, of course I am too. As I was talking to him, I can feel his uneasiness brought by his sudden situation. To be honest, the money he earned wasn’t good enough as he was just starting again to save. We had monthly amortisation to pay, and insurance which is due in December. I was glad, we didn’t pursue getting a car or else the bank might have repossessed it by now. I keep encouraging him that’s it’s okay, we can come up with solution if ever we encounter some problems in the future. He isn’t really ready to go back home, that’s why he contacted his brother whose also in the same company as him but assigned on different ship. They were supposed to be together in one ship last June, but there has been a changed of plans. Anthony asked his brother if it is possible if he can be transferred over there. He waited for a couple of days, and the response was negative. He already got another contract which confirmed that he is going home by the time the last cruise ended. He prepared his luggage little by little in preparation for his sign off. Last day of cruise came, his brother gave him a message that he saw Anthony’s name on the HR department of the ship where he is. Prior to that, my husband’s manager asked him if his brother was still on the other ship, that give him a little hope that maybe transfer was still possible. By the end of his duty, his roommate told him that he has another contract, meaning the old contract they received earlier was cancelled. So he hurriedly checked his data information too, unfortunately no changes has been made. The next morning he checked it again and surprisingly he also got another contract. He was happy at first not until he realised that he got a new contract that states another 7 months. His next contract will end in May 2022 and he keep on thinking if he can make it until that day. I told him it was just a little adjustment and I know he can do it. On their last duty, the management confirmed that no one is going home. It surprised them, because some of the crew already got their tickets going home but was cancelled. Everyone has been transferred to different ships of their company. A blessing in disguise indeed.
So yesterday, all of the crew finally said goodbye to their old ship and the coaster took them to the airport. They were divided into different ships that was currently in different ports of America. So from Seattle airport, Anthony took two connecting flights before he got at Orlando. He was transferred to his old ship where his brother was. But of course, before leaving Seattle he was able to buy a simple remembrance from it. It was an additional to our collection. If you want to read more about our collection you can check it **here**. He checked in at the hotel for one day before the agent took them to the port where his assigned ship is. The good news was that they were allowed to go out of the hotel room unlike last time. Anthony together with some of his co workers went shopping, it was their first time to go out and have some leisure time after 4 months. The next morning the agent fetched them and took them to their new assigned ship. Anthony and his brother Jojo would be reunited again, just like what their late mother want them to be. I just hope they stopped fighting over silly things😅 You know the usual sibling rivalry, but I know deep in their hearts they truly love and care for each other. And fighting over things was their way of showing their affection. I know right? You won’t believe me do you?
Final Thoughts
In times that we thought it hopeless just pray and pray without ceasing. Never doubt the goodness of the Lord because He promised to never leave us. He promised to give us hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) There maybe times that you think even the Lord forgets you, believe me it isn’t true, He is just right there waiting for you. And lastly don’t forget when one door close, expect that somebody else’s door will open. Well if it still doesn’t open, maybe you just need to push it a little harder.

Let’s Cruise
Hello everyone! Today is Sunday and it’s finally a rest day. For some they say Sunday is the first day of the week, while for some, they would say it’s the last day of the week. Up until now, I still have confusion about that. Can you give me some clarification about that thing. Anyway, it doesn’t matter which is the correct term for that all I know is that Sunday is the best day of the week. Do you agree with me? But right now what I am going to share to you has nothing to do with Sunday. 😁
I had already mentioned many times in my past articles that my husband is working in a cruise ship. He is actually a waiter, and he’s been in the company since 2008. We were actually planning on cruising together once we have enough money, but because covid happened, all of our savings for that particular travel were all spent up. So right now, I’m gonna start saving again for that to happen.
Last March 2020, their ship docked in Manila Port. The original plan was that we can get inside and explore the ship even just for a while, unfortunately it was the month where the covid cases in Metro Manila started, and their company had a changed it’s plans to let the family members in. Since we cannot get inside the ship anymore, we just took a picture of it. Then on the following week, when the first lockdown in the country was implemented, my husband Anthony together with the other crew from the Philippines took their sign off, just in time before the nationwide implementation of lockdown begin.
Okay what a long throwback we have up there. Eversince Anthony got back to work, there has been a lot of changes because of the pandemic. It actually took more than a year before the authorities gave their company the approval to sail. There has been so many health and safe protocols to be done before anything else. And everyone had to adjust for the time being in order for a safe travel while the world is still battling with Covid.
What I am going to share to you, was just a little glimpse from my husband’s work. Let me show some of the things we must expect while on cruise. Their were only few picture since my husband is not a fan of taking a picture, I only force him so that I can have something to post on my noise account before I came up here at read. And as a supportive husband he is, he willingly agreed, only that he was using an old phone so please forgive me if the picture I am about to share is not too good for your eyes.
This was actually one of the biggest ship in their company. They called it quantum class ship and the it has a capacity of 4900 passengers. But because of the pandemic, they only allowed half of it to travel, also travellers must be fully vaccinated and they must also present a negative PCR test on the day of their travel. This is Anthony’s first contract at Ovation of the Seas, also his first time in Alaska. His last travel destination was in Asia.
The picture above is the guest cabin. So if you want to cruise someday, expect a room like this. Fortunately all crew was able to used this room for their two weeks quarantine as part of the safe protocols implemented by their company. And this was where they spent their two weeks quarantine. They were like having a cruise, only that no one was allowed to go out, unless there was an scheduled for swab test. And everyday their temperature must be checked. After they finished the 14 days quarantine, and everything was all cleared they finally checked out in guest cabin and transferred to their crew cabin which was located at lowest deck of the ship. And so they began the trainings and briefings before their first official cruise started.
Here is the fine dining area. They served food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Usually fine dine is served during dinner time. Each waiter have different sets of guests to take care of for the whole duration of cruise. And if you give them an excellent service, you’d probably get a good tip at the end of cruise. But if you got some complaints well, expect some notice from your superiors.
Are you hungry yet? These were the foods served on the buffet restaurant. All these foods were served at the crew, they had a series of test cruise before the actual cruise started. Some of them has to pretend as guests while the others were the one who give service. All throughout the test cruise, they ate a lot of food that was why everyone gained weight.
After eating all those foods and gaining extra weight, what do we do? Yes work out and some exercise to get all those extra fats away from our body. So Anthony just sent me this picture, when he got an extra time for some running. Unfortunately when the actual cruise started, he had a complicated schedule that is why, he never got the chance to visit the gym again.
Lastly, the view was spectacular right? The Alaska mountains range has a great view according to Anthony. And the temperature over there was very cold. Even if the season there was summer, it didn’t give the place a warm feeling. I was just a little disappointed because I was expecting some glaciers, but I didn’t see one. Ok maybe in the next season.

Keep Grinding on a Saturday
Hello beautiful ones! How are you all? The weather today looks so nice. I woke up late because today is Saturday, which means no online classes for the kids so all of us stays a little longer in bed. Unlike the other days that passed, the warmth of the sun was present when I woke up this morning. I looked up in the window and saw that it was already on it’s peak since it’s already late. I hurriedly went out of our room because I received a text message from the courier of the online shop where I am selling my crafts reminding me that the rider is on the way to pick up the parcel. However, I forgot to arranged it last night because I was busy with other things. So after arranging it for sometime, I set it aside and wait for the rider while preparing our breakfast. Since it was actually late, I decided to cooked chicken macaroni soup. It’s gonna be breakfast and lunch at the same time.
Whew, today has been really a busy day again. When I looked at our fridge I saw it’s empty, all that’s left were ice cube. I think it was time for some grocery. After eating our brunch, the rider just came in time to pick up the parcel. And then after, I prepared myself to go outside to have some grocery. I took a bath, changed my clothes and then got my face mask together with its face shield. I hurriedly went outside because I needed to be back home before my husband Anthony went online. The good thing about our place is that there’s some grocery mart nearby. It’s up to you if you want to ride a jeep, a tricycle or can just take a walk. So this time, I decided to take a walk for a little exercise. It will only just take 5 to 7 minutes walk from our house to the grocery store. I brought my umbrella with me, since it was a little hot and if in case the weather started to change, I am ready.
In just a little minutes more, I reached the grocery and the first thing I did was to looked for the atm machine. Yesterday was payday and I was actually expecting a long queue in the atm machine, but since it was after lunch there wasn’t much people in it. When it was my turn, I inserted my atm card to checked if there’s money in it and fortunately there is. I withdraw some cash and went to a lotto outlet which was just beside the atm area. Actually I am not a fan of lottery because honestly I am not lucky with it. But since I was already there, why not try, who knows I’ll be a millionaire tomorrow.😁 Anyway it only cost 20 php or less than a dollar and I am not doing it everyday.
I went upstairs to proceed with my grocery. I grabbed the cart and started getting all the essential things we needed at home. I was very careful in choosing what to put on the cart because I might overspend. Budgeting is such a struggle for a mom like me. In this trying times, we have to spend every single penny wisely. When everything else was in my cart, I went to the cashier to pay. I got the grocery bags and went home right after so that I can talked to Anthony when he goes online. This time I took the tricycle because the grocery bags were a little heavy. I remember back then when the first lockdown was imposed, there wasn’t any mode of transportation available and I have no choice but to carry all those heavy grocery bags. It took me 15 minutes or more before I could finally reached home and that was really tiring. I guess I was out of my mind back then because I forgot to message my husband so he can just fetched me. What a fool I am?
When I got home, as part of our health protocol inside the house, I washed my feet and sprayed some alcohol on our grocery before I took them inside the house. I took a bath again and changed my clothes. I need to be careful because corona virus is just around the corner, we can’t see it, so one of the things we can do to prevent it is to followed some health protocols. And I don’t want to risk my health and my children so following it wouldn’t be a big deal for me. In the end, it’s better to stay safe than being sorry.
Of course my day, wouldn’t be completed without talking to the love of my life. It’s the last day of their cruise yesterday and he got some good news to me. Well I don’t want to spoil it yet because I am going to share it in another article. I am glad I’ve washed the laundry the other day, so today I just folded the dry clothes and put them in drawer. Since it has been sunny all day, I took this chance to get Yumi, our dog a fresh bath. The moment I called her to get a bath she wasn’t responding, as usual she really hates getting a fresh shower, but she has no choice because it’s been a while since she had her last one, the good thing about Yumi is that she still smells good even without taking a bath for a few days.
My busy Saturday includes doing my made to order crafts. Right now, I have three pending orders, and this week I need to finish my mickey mouse and minnie mouse felt ornaments. So far I am enjoying doing it, even though its really tiring. Don’t worry, I always find time to rest and never let myself stressed out over this things. Meanwhile I need to catch up with children modules. I have to checked it first before I returned it to their respective teachers for further checking.
