'Til death do us part I am sure a lot of you are familiar with this wedding vow, "**To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part**." A lot of marriages are broken because some failed to fulfill this vow. Well, I know there's some reason to that. I ain't a wedding counselor or expert when it comes to topic like this. But today let me share you a very sad story about a college classmate that happened two years ago. During my first year in college, I met my classmate Ellaine. She is a typical college freshmen who is full of energy. I really am not close to her, as we have different sets of friends. We acted civil most of the time and from what I remember most about her was that he got a boyfriend, whom sometimes visit our school since he was studying at a different school. I think they were high school sweetheart from what I heard from my other classmates. The following school year, I wasn't surprised to learn that she got pregnant by her boyfriend but even though that was the case, she still continued her studies. We are still classmate in some minor subjects. I can't exactly remember well but I think she didn't passed the major subject during our first year that's why she had to retake it. As I told you earlier we weren't close to each other. Time passed by quickly, she gave birth to a baby girl and still continued her study as I see her often at school. I haven't heard about her after our graduation, although we were friends in friendster and later on in facebook. I remember checking her profile a few years later and found out she was working in a bank. She was already married to her boyfriend then and got two beautiful girls too. I am honestly happy for her. Then two years ago, one of her bestfriend which I talked to sometimes during college, message me on facebook. She forwarded me link and upon opening the link, I am quite shocked and can't believe what I had just read. The link said that there were two bodies found bloody inside the car. The girl was dead on the spot while the husband was taken to the nearest hospital. I sent my condolence to her friend after that as it was the only thing I can say that time. Unfortunately, Elaine's husband didn't make it too. According to the story, the couple allegedly had a financial problem due to gambling. Both of them had been to barangay hall before the incident happened. The investigation stated that she shot his husband first and then shot herself in the end. If you want to know the exact details here is the link of the article. https://mb.com.ph/2019/08/24/woman-found-dead-after-allegedly-shooting-husband-self/ I really felt sorry about this tragedy and for their two daughters that lost both of their parents at a very young age. I don't know if I will believe in the details of the incident report as the people involves in it were already gone. Praying for their souls to be at peace is the best thing I can do. Upon recalling this story, I remember the wedding vow that says "until death do us part". Honestly this is quite scary and hearing the word death isn't a good topic to talked about but we all know that is our final destination. However, I am not in favor for what my classmate did. I believe no matter how big your problem is, killing yourself isn't the best solution. It doesn't solve the problem instead it makes it worst. But then, we really don't know what's on her mind that time. I just hope that by now, her kids have overcome the trauma of losing their parents. Thank you for spending your time reading my article for today. Just remember whenever you feel alone and lonely, keep holding on for God is there to comfort you. It isn't the end of the world yet and whatever challenges you are going through you'll eventually overcome it. Just keep the faith.
