Unqualified

They are getting smarter and smarter, the
scammers I mean, not the children. Although "they" say each generation is more intelligent than the one before I have strong doubts about this statement. Most children can hardly count, have never heard of idioms, and have a huge problem if it comes to writing and reading. Grammar they see as a waste of time, so do teachers by the way. It's hard to believe how some teachers received a diploma. Those people who need to teach children, even get paid for it, can hardly write and count themselves. The notes they give prove it. It's hard to ignore those failures and that's something my children don't do.

I wonder... if you are good at something shouldn't it turn into an automatism to do it the right way? I mean you practice daily, are aware of grammar, teach and explain it. How can a teacher make so many mistakes? Shouldn't they take care of what they write especially because of their job? To me, being a teacher means being an example.
Those notes written by teachers/schools are always the same. I wonder why not a single person says "let's write something good. Let three of us check what is written before we copy it for the next ten years."

It's clear no one feels responsible. Why should they if it's not in their job description?
If it comes to scam and lying teachers turn out to be in the top 10 if not top 3. They not only brag about experiences but get away with it. It turns out many employers don't check if tutors are qualified at all, which they turn out not to be or not enough. Employers do not care as long as someone shows up a few hours a day to watch over a group of children. Those children can teach themselves or help each other out. It's very modern and good for teambuilding. The one in front of the class only needs some books with answers. These books can be very helpful unless the answers are wrong!

What I concluded at work, the university, and several schools the media cracked today. Most of those teachers are not qualified (enough).
I guess this is the reason why children have so much homework these days. Work they couldn't finish at school during the lessons, work they make at home with the help of their unqualified parents.

I don't think each generation is more intelligent than the one before. Much suggests the opposite. They know more about certain things, but that is not the same as higher intelligence. And schools today are rubbish. They have lowered the requirements to allow more pupils to succeed. That's what's called democracy. The result is that not even most professionals know their own field.

Good to hear I am not the only one noticing that. "Teachers" complained it took way too much time to teach foreigners grammar. The suggestion given: we change the language into something simple. 🤔

I know places where students in engineering complained that mathematics was too hard to learn, so it was decided that the education in engineering shouldn't contain mathematics anymore. Similar things about education in medicine. In certain places future physicians don't need to learn anatomy anymore (!) It's simply to difficult. This is the trend and the future! And quite frankly, many physicians don't know more than taking some tests and give a medicine adapted for that test result - all prescribed by the country's political authority of medicine. Meanwhile, they have no idea of what they are doing or what the medicine really does. It is not more difficult than reading in a table.

All this means we do raise a generation of people without any skills. No skills if it comes you hand rafts, surviving, farming and those who study are a big joke.

If it comes to doctors... With us they work part-time only 4 days a week, not after 4 pm. If you manage to make an appointment online they give you 10 minutes and ask "what do you want me to do?". Not that they do it or can do it. They are only allowed to write recipes or tell you to call a specialist after they wrote a note.

An interesting future lies ahead.

I wouldn't say scammers are getting better at their job, it's just that every (few) year(s), a new machine and/or operating system is introduced, which requires the population that chooses or is forced to use it to actually learn how to. Everything they learned prior is now obsolete; everyone has to begin from scratch. That's right time frame for a scammer to intervene and confuse the newbies.

Schools aren't trying to make studying interesting for children, and can't, because they don't understand what truly grabs a child's attention. And they equally so don't care. Even if they claim otherwise. A highly subscribed Youtube comedian can grab children's attention with ease and sneak in lessons they'll actually remember, because these Youtubers are "fellow young people" and high energy. They're usually younger than the teachers standing in front of class and most definitely younger than those in charge of education as a whole.

We need people in charge who understand the children of today, but I doubt it that most teachers will settle with "Youtube comedian"-styled lessons, since they have to manually judge every student in class every time and aren't getting paid the millions these Youtubers do. So, what will even motivate them to do more than tell a child "Open up your books and go to page 40", as they themselves open up their laptops to check their Outlook account. As long a child does the bare minimum, it passes.

The scammers in this case are the teachers. They are not qualified and lie. I saw many kids in front of a classroom which means they have nearly the same age. The main problem here will be the government's education system. A system they know is wrong (again) and will change in a few year's time. I think the old teachers, the ones I had can teach the present youth very well and they will like it and learn. If I look back at what my schools offered and what is offered - can not be offered - these days is a big shame! The schools should have way more money to spend instead of fewer.

I can't recall school ever being interesting, this isn't a recent problem.

I think that nowadays people are losing interest in improving their experiences. They settle for what they already got. Knowledge as a tool for growth never expires. If a person who teaches is locked in his own ego ... how can he continue to evolve? and if it does not continue to grow, as it teaches others. If it's about educators. Things are wrong in the administration of teaching. And now with these current methods. What will happen? ...

This "nowadays" is at least for over 25 years going on. The education level in the Netherlands drops very fast. To make teaching easier the lessons and exams are made easier. Especially for foreigners and they even suggested making the language easier because teaching grammar takes too much time.

Worst of all, students realize the mediocrity of the system.

My son is disappointed with the teachers and education he receives at the university.

He tells me that to this day all the knowledge he is acquiring is done on his own on the pages he is looking for online.

It's the same over here. My youngest saw as a 5 year old the teacher couldn't count. My children learned more at home than at school. They feel bored and are not interested in waiting time traveling up and down, sitting between teachers and students who don't care while they know more.

Well it's at that point in time where people grow apathetic for eacg other's well being, and much more, their upbringing. I think only the privileged will be able to earn the benefit of gaining corrections in their studies since complaints are quite easier to file in a paid institution than in a public institution and that's just sad

It is interesting that we have the same opinion about teachers even though we are in different parts of the world. I think teachers today do not see teaching as a noble job. It seemed that they did not have a choice but to become teachers which is absolutely sad because the children of today pays for the incompetence of these under qualified teachers.
